Me and my girlfriend have been bringing our dogs here for around 2 yrs and the service is great. The staff is nice, the prices are good and I like that they always fit you in if you need it. I'm not the smartest guy when it comes to this stuff but the vet takes his time and helps me understand what's going on. If anything serious happens to our dogs I know they have a good place to go. Unreal I called ahead of time and had my dogs file sent over as I had already ran multiple tests and no one could tell me why my dogs tongue was paralyzed. I asked if he thought he could do anything before with this case before I made the hour trip to his office. Money grab us all this guy isabout. Cost me 1500 for no answers once again. He ran a CT scan which told us nothing. He tells us I’m a north vet that’s my specialty come back when your ready for a hip replacement, which is another separate issue that we were dealing with. Obviously the tongue issue and my dog joy being able to eat or drink was my first concern. All this guy was concerned with was showing me his “cool toys” 3D printer for ortho use. My poor dog was screaming in the back when he woke up. They tried to hand my dog off to me with the catheter still in. My dog yelled and screamed for about 10 minutes . He was sore and couldn’t move for days afterwards. Don’t waste your money on this guy, he has no idea what he’s doing and has no compassion whatsoever. Wasn’t bothered in the least that my poor dog was screaming In Pain in the back. Blamed it on the staff trying to touch him. Horrible veterinarian. He then books me a referral in Toronto for literally the next day without confirming with me. Now two months later when my dog has finally recovered from the tongue paralysis I call to look into a hip replacement. He then has the nerve to deny me because I didn’t go to Toronto the very next day after my previous appointment. It’s not like I didn’t call ahead of time and advise The Toronto vet that I couldn’t make it. Horrible customer service. I will take my hard earned money to Guelph where the professionals are for a hip replacement. I personally think he really has no idea what he’s doing and probably would have screwed up my dogs hips even more. Nice game reviews for the first 5-10 reviews keep going down the list and see for yourself how horrible the reviews are on this guy. On a side note when I mentioned the bad reviews that the Toronto vet had that he referred me to, he had the nerve to say that people who leave reviews are mostly mentally challenged. Absolutely amazing vet and vet staff. Our trust in them will never waver. They give the best of themselves and more to all the animals they treat. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to Dr. Rocheleau and his wonderful team at the Espanola Animal Hospital. Three weeks ago I bought my furbaby in because he had a massive herniated disc. The day after surgery he was walking a bit and has progressed to the point of nearly running now. The care and understanding by everyone involved was extraordinary, even providing me with a room to sit with my dog for a few hours to comfort him the day after the surgery. This is the worst animal hospital I have been to in many years. Dr. Rocheleau is so full of himself. He spent the entire consult complaining about past patients and bragging about himself. Our dog ended up with an infection following surgery and despite following instructions to the T it was our fault and we were told not to return. I also find it very sad that looking through the rest of these google reviews, the only positive ones are from staff of the hospital or their family including Kali, Stephanie, Doreen, Shane, and Samantha. PJ is a complete narcissist and knows better then every other vet/ research article. He acts like he is knowledgeable but is truly incompetent and has some of the highest rates of postoperative infections and complications than any other referral hospital. He will prolong your animals suffering unnecessarily for an extra dime. He is constantly bad talking previous clients, if you have any complication with surgery it will be your fault not his. He treats his staff like garbage and is a horrible human being. If you care about your pet, spend the extra money and head to Guelph you wont regret it! Read Less

My toy breed dog recently broke his leg, I immediately brought him to the emergency service at another animal hospital in the greater sudbury area. . At that time the doctor had told that my single and only option would be to have surgery which was only offered in Toronto. The way he reacted when I told him I wanted a second opinion, I knew something wasn't right... heartbroken, I took my dog home bandaged with pain medication to determine what I could possibly do... My dod had unnecessarily been left with a broken leg. So here's the turn around to this story..... I called the Espanola Hospital Clinic, and explained my situation on the phone to Dr. Pj , i had my dog to the clinic within two hours after that phone call. The staff is so compassionate and caring to there patients and there parents, and take the time to fully inform and explain everything to you. Not only did my dog get the surgery required to fix his leg with continued follow ups and treatment, they truly go above and beyond . Thank you Dr.PJ and team ! Our Newf Shepherd Jackson had the absolute best care from Dr. PJ and his staff when Jack needed TPLO surgery on both legs, 4 weeks apart. He is at 12 weeks and 8 weeks post op and doing incredible. They were patient with my many questions and PJ explained the surgery in detail so we knew exactly what to expect with the recovery. Jackson barely limped even with both legs done and the only way people know he had surgery is his funky haircut on his back end. I have never met more professional, courteous and caring people in my life. My little dog Bailey had surgery and therapy and had his cast and sutures removed today and is doing fine. I have severe panic attacks and rarely leave my house. From the very beginning I new I had brought my dog to the right place. My family and especially my puppy Sierra are forever in debt to this animal hospital and all the staff working in it! Sierra is a 3 year old pure bred Rottweiler and had torn her left ACL in her knee and could barely walk. Thank you guys so much for taking in and fixing our kitten when she broke her leg. Most of the vets in sudbury turned us away in an emergency and the one we did get into made it seem like we either had to put her down or spend an ubsurd amount of money in toronto guelph or ottawa. We were very happy that you guys took her in after hours on short notice and were very willing to take on the challenge of repairing a bad break in a tiny cat.
