I can't say enough good things about Dr Bala and his staff. I have had several vets over the years as a result of living in different cities and I haven't had a vet as engaged and caring as Dr Bala. They are simply the best vet I have ever seen being disabled my furry friends need attention as well the staff and Dr Bala proved time and time again just how important each and every animal who walks through the door are.. Our 4 cats have been patients at Cloverdale Veterinary Hospital for 5 1/2 years now. Dr. Bala has to be one of the sweetest, most caring and most patient veterinarians I have ever known. He not only puts time into helping our pets whenever they have been ill, but puts time into educating us as owners so we know not only that there's something wrong, but why and how it happened. They are a small (and affordable) clinic, but I feel it's because of that that our pets receive the immense amount of time and attention that they do. no follow-up from Dr. Bala after spending almost $500 for a visit including bloodwork. Even though the receptionist said that they would call. That was not the case after they got their $$$Rip off clinic. Also, we called 1800 pet meds since the preventative meds at Cloverdale were ridiculous. The vet took a heart worm sample so the 1800petmeds should have sent out the meds. However this vet did not approve it to go through. Since he thought we would run back to buy them from him??? not a chance. Read Less

If you want to know where all AIRHEADS are hiding, this is the place, plus this will show you how they operate in ripping a customer off or as they call it - upgrading. I AM DISGUISED WITH THE BEHAVIOR OF THE CLINIC, INCLUDING Dr. Bala, 'the vet'.The kitty was going for her shots and yes, I have been ripped off for a good $500 over the first 4 months of her life and kitten got sick after each 'vaccination'. Later I've learned that that is natural as they are giving them poison and whole bunch of crap. However, I got to pay for her medication when she got sick after those inoculations!!!!On the last vaccination visit (NEVER AGAIN WILL I VACCINATE MY CATS) I discussed with Dr. Bala and agreed to do pre-op blood work and IV during the spaying operation and to come back in two months. So I did. Dr. Bala was supposed to call me to discuss blood work but was not important and he didn't. DON'T EVER GET BLOOD WORK! His behavior shows that he does not give a s*** and that this was just a further money drain.On a day of spaying I am bringing a cat and this 'just about to finish veterinarian university' as per Dr. Bala demonstrated what this clinic is all about: The procedures and  bills pre-agreed are now DOUBLE. FRIGGING DOUBLE!!!!Yes, 'in the interest of the cat' let's do this. let's do that, blood work not good, etc etc. I said NO FRIGGING WAY AND STOP RIPPING ME OFF AND STEALING FROM ME. SHAME ON YOU! On top of that this blond is convincing me that I spoke to Dr. Bala. I advised that I need to immediately check myself in the hospital since neither I nor my phone has any recollection of it. She still goes on and on and on. She is asking me???? why would a vet recommend something that is not in the best interest of the cat. I answered for the same reason why he is in this business - he is not making money obviously now  with the best interest of the cat but with the best interest for his wallet. He also has no respect for his clients either with such shameless approach to ripping us off. The airhead is now asking me if I want to speak to the vet, I said no. Guess who is calling shortly after? The vet! At least he confirmed that he did not call me and I have asked him to notify his staff about it. Also asked WTF is with this bill and multitude of 'new recommended procedure' and how dares he recommend further things when she, the kitty, has to deal with the operation. Ok, ok he said you don't have to do it. Dr. Bala kept saying that he did many procedures but that he is not God? ( THIS GUY BELIEVING IN IMAGINARY BEINGS AND INTERVENTION ??????). I totally got frigged out - this guy is not telling me about his skills, or simplicity of procedure of explaining $300 rip off but he is talking to me about imaginary being. JESUS!Needless to say I am a nervous rack the whole frigging day and when they called me to pick up the kitty at 6:30 pm and told me that she was fine I was relived.So, the kitty was brought to me without the protective collar and soon you will find out why and why is this saga continuing. I forked over my mastercard and paid for that butchery and they forked over cheap cat collar 'because her saliva is full of bacteria'. Really? Another frigging airhead.So I get home and try to put it on poor kitty just to find out that this is way to big for her. Calling the clinic for the alternative and they say they have a smaller collar. Wasn't their FRIGGING JOB TO TEST THIS BEFORE THIS HAPPENED. This is the smallest cat you can find! So there, let's leave the family dinner and drive back to the clinic just to find out that their 'smallest collar is bigger then this one'. The new airhead tries to convince me that it is small and it will fit. I showed her the one I have and asked her to compare which one is smaller. The inner circle on the original one is at least 1 cm smaller in diameter yet the airhead still thinks that the other one is smaller. Maybe it is shorter but it will not fit around cat's neck. The assistant comes our and says she will refund the collar. I said I am going to PetValu as it is only 5 min left and will come back to get the money.I got something that can be adjusted at PetValu for $5 (about 100000000000000000000000 better than that crappy s**** they have given me) and the airhead with orange pain on her head tells me I need to yet make another trip (today is Thursday, she wants me to come back on Monday) to get my refund. In the end they had to rip some money.Dr. Bala never dragged his ass out to give me post-op speech and reassurance that the operation went well.So yes, They did manage to RIP ME OFF but karma is a bitch. Keep in mind that instead of paying $370 ++ and with stolen $10+ from me that spaying procedure should be about $60. DISGUISING and SHAMEFUL. Luckily kitty seems fine so far. Read Less
