I've been here once 2 years ago & after last week, I'll never go back to this vet. After observing my cat for 2 days, I was concerned because he was very quiet & was not vocal like he has been before. So I called, made an appointment & I had high hopes that this veterinarian would find out what was going on with my 3 year old cat. The appointment was for 5:00pm and when I got there, I was greeted by the secretary & then I was asked to confirm that I was there to update his vaccinations (& to be honest I was confused because I could have sworn that when I called to make this appointment, she had asked me if there was anything wrong with my cat to which I explained that I had some concerns with his behaviour) then she just gave me this confused look & responded with: "We'll see what we can do, we usually book appointments this late only for those that are going to be vaccinated." I was like "okay.." Then I was told that the veterinarian was going to be with me "soon" and I waited about 20 minutes before he stepped into the room. And of course, just as any other vet would, he began to ask me about my cat's history & since my situation was that my cat wasn't vocal anymore the veterinarian asked me if he'd swallow any foreign objects, ate something he wasn't supposed to, etc. & I wasn't really sure because I wasn't paying that close attention to my cat the night that all of this happened. He then told me that he couldn't really do much for me because my answers were so vague. I can't tell you how embarrassed I felt. And when he asked me what food I feed my cat he told me that food was "garbage." (I am sorry that I cannot afford the food that he sells in his clinic, so unless he wants to pay for it he could suggest other alternatives.) By this time, it is almost 6:00pm (the time the clinic closes) & after the physical examination, he told me that he was going to take an x-ray (thank goodness) but what really pissed me off was when he said "I don't usually do this, I am really tired." First of all, thank you for making me feel like s*** but isn't that your job? You're not doing it for free, I am paying you. Second of all you misdiagnosed my cat, he's not constipated. Although I am grateful that the x-ray was done, his attitude was not necessary. After the appointment, he told me "Good luck." The bill ended up being over $300 & for what? For a misdiagnosis. No thanks. From one Persian to another, all I can say is "Khodahavez" which means "Goodbye." Read Less

Wow, based in my experience trying to purchase dog food here, I would NEVER let this guy set eyes in my dog! We just moved into the area, so we are looking for a local vet, but no need right now. I tried to buy a large bag of Hills T/D food and he insisted I register with the clinic because "it's a prescription". I said it's not a prescription, it's just sold at vets. I said I was in a hurry and could I do it next time and he said no. I said if I can't just buy the food without registering I'd buy it elsewhere, to which he responded by showing me the door! So, we are probably going to go with Long Branch Animal Hospital (4km out of our way) when we have any veterinary or dietary needs. Pressure tactics like this to build your client-base is a sure sign he's not a great vet. Read Less

I was referred to Dr Ghazi by my Mother who is really very picky about everything so I knew he must be very good.  I was certainly not disappointed. When I met Dr G and his staff I immediately knew we were in good hands.  Dr G asked a lot of questions (more questions than any other vet I have EVER gone to) and reviewed my dog Yoshi's records thoroughly and spent time with me to get a clear picture of his history before he made any diagnosis.Dr G recommended surgery to remove some of Yoshi's teeth which I was not surprised about and also suggested that he remove a growth on Yoshi's head at the same time.  Yoshi had the surgery and has completely recovered and is a much happier dog because of the care that Dr G took.  I would recommend Dr G to all of my friends and trust him completely. Terrible experience here years ago and never got a chance to write a review about it.  I wanted to make sure everyone who goes there knows to be careful.  When I first got my first Chihuahua. I was told she was an abused dog and I rescued her from a breeder.  The first week I got her, I realized some of her teeth were dangling so I brought her in to this vet at Marina Animal Hospital. The "doctor" Behzad told me that she has gum disease and I would have to have ALL her teeth removed and she would have to be fed ONLY soft food.  I was in tears.  If that wasn't the worst news I got, I was also told by the "doctor" it would cost $900.00.  Still in tears driving home feeling sorry for my dog and being totally confused and stressed, I was losing it and had to stop the car so I can collect myself before I crash.  I was given a suggestion by my mother to go to another vet and get a second opinion.I brought her to Ripley Animal Hospital in Richmond Hill.  YES, I drove all the way there just because that hospital was referred to me by a breeder and I didn't care driving an hour away from home obviously to ensure my dog is looked at by someone reputable.Dr. Parmigano had 4 teeth removed and did a teeth and gum cleaning and she was good to go. It cost me $180.00.Marina Animal Hospital lied to me and would have made my dog suffer for nothing!  ONLY so they can collect $900.00.  Terrible!!! Read Less

Dr Ghazi has been our vet since  2003/ 2004, when we got our first kitten then Bernese Mountain Dog. My experience as a long term customer is that Dr. Ghazi is an exemplary vet, willing to go the extra mile.  My dog had a tumour and Dr. Ghazi, within 45 minutes had done a test of it to clear it of malignancy, and this because I was so worried.  What a relief, even humans don't get that fast a test result.   And he has digital xrays which were quite useful when we had to bring our dog for orthopedic surgery up to Orangeville (Dr. Ghazi doesn't do this type of surgery).    He fit my cat in on a Saturday with an emergency, and yes I did get the food lecture, but I suppose if I were treating cats in terrible pain with kidney stones  due to bad diet you too might want to ensure your clients understand that choice of pet food is critical, esp for cats.  Its all about the animal and if you ask me that's the best you can hope for. I took my dog Tyki there for a health certificate document that I needed for his travel. The Doctor Behzad Ghazi was so patient, he took all the time to show me what the possible breeds of my dig are and also that why he sometimes has short breath problems. He brought all the magazines and science books to show me in exact details what happens and how i can control it. He was so patient and helpful. I didn't for one minute feel that he just wants to do his job and go on with the next pet, I felt...like being with a family doctor :)And his secretary, WOW, she was so friendly. I got stock in traffic, so I called ot say I would be late, she calmly asked me how long I thought i would be late and she said that she will do her best to squeeze us in and that was what she did. The minute we went in she came out and explained that doctor is busy with another patient and he will be with us shortly. Read Less

Great staff. My dog dropped a big poo at the front door and with a smile it was cleaned up. Always smiling and such a nice atmosphere. Pleasant change compared to our old vet.

Cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Ghazi and his staff. My wife and I have been seeing him for the past four years. We moved out of the area two years ago and have not even thought about changing vets. Dr. Ghazi cares for the animals and you can really see it. Dr. Ghazi puts the animal first and I have never once felt like he is trying to sell something \up the bill. Rosa and the other assistant (sorry I forgot your name) are two of the kindest people I have ever met. Bella and Luke say Thank you!!!! Read Less

I have only wonderful things to say about the team.  The love, care and follow-up is phenomenal.  Dr. Ghazi is knowledgable and kind.  He really gets that our dog has had dental surgery twice and we are leaving our baby in his care.  There are follow-up calls and advice.  Dr. ghazi has never recommended extensive testing to make money and left us feeling used.  The team is fabulous.  Thanks! Dr Ghazi and staff where consistently caring and professional. My beloved dog lived much longer than expected, more comfortably and without unnecessary tests or interventions as per my request.

She was so friendly, and Tyki is usually very much afraid of these clinics but he was very calm there and didn't panic.I was so happy with the service I got, I'm definitely going back there again :) Read Less

Dr Gahzi saved my Boston Terrier's life.Casey had swallowed something that ended up binding itself around his little tummy, and without Dr Gahzi's patience, and persistence, I'm convinced Casey wouldn't have made it. He scheduled appointments out of his 'regular booking time', to ensure Casey got care ASAP. Dr Gahzi does a lot of work with local rescues, and is the Boston Terrier Rescue Canada's choice vet. He works with you, and he's honest - he'll do what's best for your pet, not his pocket book. A VET THAT'S HONEST! WHOOHOO!You'll even see certain fee's waived (ie. 'blood drawing fee') that would no way in hell be removed by downtown vets. Read Less
