This is the graveyard of vets. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE bring your pet to this place. We had a horrible experience with them about 6-7 years ago but had a serious emergency and were forced to bring another cat to them. He was horribly misdiagnosed, suffered through the night and died in my car outside of their place of business while I pounded on their door the next morning. They were 10 minutes late and those precious minutes could have saved his life. The person that finally arrived said, "oh sorry, the other person called in absent today". Still, there was NOBODY there that could help, after they told us to come back first thing in the morning. Not to mention, the night before they tried to charge an extra $300 to email ANOTHER vet to look at the x-rays. As if the vet that was seeing us hasn't seen thousands of these. I wish I could give them negative stars. A 4 year old cat gets given a steroid that blew up his heart. Great job guys, I can tell you, the poor little guy did not go peacefully. Thanks a lot. I would have given him negative stars if that was possible but it's not. Where do I start? First of all run as fast as you can if you're with this clinic or planning on going there or any of his other four clinics that he now owns (listed at the end). I thought I had hit the jackpot when I first went to South Etobicoke animal hospital, owned by Tej Dhaliwal. I'd been to so many vets and left because I was not happy with them. I have never been so wrong in my life. My dog died on March 7th 2021, due to his negligence. My dog was in his "care" for two entire days, Friday and Saturday, and required a very basic surgery to remove a bleeding lump. Instead of doing that he took care of all his client appointments and left my dog in the back bleeding, although they insisted he had stopped bleeding which he had not. Sent him home with me Friday, bleeding and bandaged. I took him back first thing Saturday morning. Had a call from Dhaliwal at 10:30 that morning saying they needed to remove the lump or he would require a blood transfusion. I told him immediately to go ahead and remove the lump, thinking they would do it right away. But no, I get a call at 2:30 that afternoon, which was closing time, telling me not to come and pick him up yet as they were just about to start the surgery, what?! Dhaliwal called me after the surgery and acted like all was good. Went to pick up my boy, he was still under anesthesia, he never woke up. He passed away on Sunday. Tej Dhaliwal is in this business for one reason only and that is the money. He does not give a shit about the animals in his "care". I'm also in contact with another clients who's dog also died in his "care" in August 2021. Due to a basic bandage change. Dhaliwal insisted they had to put the dog under anesthesia to do a bandage change...what? What kind of vet are you that you can't do a bandage change without putting a dog under?? Anyhow, they apparently gave the 8 month old puppy too much anesthesia and the puppy never work up. We both have cases against him with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario. Dhaliwal and his lawyer are refusing to cooperate in my case. Why? Because he knows he's guilty. Stay away from him and beware if you're going to change clinics, he now owns five clinics in the GTA. South Etobicoke Animal Hospital, Dixie Animal Hospital (Mississauga), O'Connor Vet Clinic (North York, Toronto), Fletchers Creek Animal Hospital (Brampton), Lacoste Animal Hospital (Brampton) and Countryside Veterinary Mobile Services. He also pleaded guilty to (sexual) assault in 2010 and had his license suspended for 5 months by the CVO. BRIEF SYNOPSIS OF FACTS • Dr. Dhaliwal attended a farm on a professional call. • On arrival there was some confusion about the animals to be dealt with. Dr. Dhaliwal called his supervisor and, while awaiting the return call, he encountered a female employee of the farm (Ms. X) and a conversation ensued concerning a lameness problem with the employee’s dog. • Dr. Dhaliwal informed Ms. X that he was experienced in acupuncture and massage therapy for animals, and proceeded to demonstrate treatment on the dog. • On the pretext of further demonstrating how massage therapy would work on the dog, Dr. Dhaliwal and Ms. X went into a nearby room where Dr. Dhaliwal began to demonstrate the massage on Ms. X’s body. • Ms. X moved away and questioned what that had to do with the dog. • Ms. X returned to the dog. • Dr. Dhaliwal began again to show her how to massage the dog by putting his hand down her pants and touching her groin area while she was bent over the dog. License was again suspended for 6 months in 2012 by the CVO, although not clear why. Is this a vet anyone wants tending their beloved pets...I don't think so. He's a monster. I was waiting for the hearing to come to an end and Dhaliwal found guilty before I posted but because he is not cooperating a year and a half later I'm not waiting any longer. Dr. Tej Dhaliwal is registered sex offender. He didnt disclose this to me before he came into my house for a house call. He told me my reptile didnt need a uvb bulb projecting on the tank when infact she does. He also missinformed me that i should keep the temps at 80F for a baby bearded dragon tank. I found out later through a different vet and much research that the temps should be at 95 to 110F. By having the temps so cold.. my beardie could have died , have induced unnecessary stress and could have developed an illness. Dr. Dhaliwal gave my reptile expired medication not once not twice but 3 times. She gave my reptile a dosage without putting my reptile on a scale to view her weight first. I found out from a different dr that my reptile was 7x under dosed. In 2 stool samples (that i had to damand be done) Dr Dhaliwal only diagnosed my dragon with 1 parasite. Not the 2 she actually has and failed to disclose she had a respitpry infection too. Dr. Dhaliwal did not handle my reptile properly AT ALL. He dropped my bearded dragon on the floor from counter level TWICE while handling. Never coming back again. Read Less

Yikes. Out of desperation I brought my dying cat in to see if anything could be done. As a broke student barely able to feed myself it was imperative that I don't go over my budget but I was desperate for help. Doubted every symptom I presented and when the cat finally ate for the first time in a week- "Well he's eating now, isn't he??" After confirming the total price would be in my price range I agreed to the suggested treatment- but couldn't board with them overnight as I'd go into debt if I did. EXTREME guilt ensued. As I was leaving the vet handed me Nutrical (normally about $10, I ended up paying $75 for it??) and told me it was included in the charge. I payed about three times the amount they promised me I'd be paying. Cat died six days later and I suffered major financial damages. When I called to inform the vet of my cats passing he only told me 'make sure the body doesn't stink' during the animal's wake. I've never been so insulted; you can bet I'll never be back. Their only saving grace is the wonderful receptionist. Everything else about this place is a disaster. Read Less

The Vet came to our home and I can say he was then nicest Vet that I have ever met, and so caring. He was very gentle and compassionate with our Marcella. Read Less

Was referred by my vet to Dr. Dhaliwal to do a surgery on my cat. He was in a very bad accident and I couldn't afford the procedure. I thought I would have to put him to sleep but Dr. Dhaliwal was very compassionate and he went out of his way to give me a greatly reduced price. My cat is now in recovery and I will be forever grateful. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have my baby with me today. Read Less

Today I had to put our beautiful 13 year old cat to sleep. She was very ill. It saddened us to do this, but to see her possibly being in pain, we needed to let her go. The Vet came to our home and I can say he was then nicest Vet that I have ever met, and so caring. He was very gentle and compassionate with our Marcella. She left this earth at peace and even purring while she was being injected with a sedative. I would recommend this Veterinary Clinic 100% when it comes to having to euthanize your pet at home. Thank you so much for being simply kind to our kitty. Read Less

Adopted a new kitten and took her here for her vaccinations. The place looks very small but I was extremely impressed with the service. The receptionist was very kind and careful with my new kitten and booked some future appointments for me with ease. The vet - Dr. Dwaliwal, was absolutely fantastic. He did not rush me in and out. He took time to explain lots of information to me, played with my kitten to make her feel comfortable and addressed any concerns I had. I walked away extremely impressed and happy. They have got my business for life! Read Less
