Dr Ewing has been taking care of are. beloved dogs for about 13 or more years would not trust anyone else to take care of are dog Austin, me and my husband are very greatful for Dr Ewing. Dr Ewing and her staff are very carring they go out of there way to make you and your pet feel confortable, they treat you dog as if it was there owne. THE MOST COMPASSIONATE VET AROUND. Dr Ewing saved my old greyhound from waiting 12 days to have his dental surgery done when my own vet couldn't do the surgery until April 4th - he had to have 8 teeth removed - I can only imagine the pain he was in prior. We used to belong to this animal hospital and was always happy with it, but then we moved out of the area and moved to a more local vet. My old dog needed dental surgery and was booked in but then stopped eating completely. He hadn't eaten anything for 3 days and I called my new vet to try to bring the surgery forwards because to us this was now an emergency - they said they couldn't. I was besides myself at the thought of leaving him for 12 days not eating - greyhounds are skinny anyways. I called Dr Ewing who immediately said to bring him in the next morning (Friday) for surgery as he couldn't go over the weekend without food. She re-arranged her day to do this for him/us and we weren't even current clients. The surgery went well - 8 teeth extracted. Dr Ewing called that night to check on him and again the next morning - we are so very grateful for her kindness and empathy with this whole situation. I have always had excellent service from this hospital - ALL the staff are caring and professional. Dr Ewing is a fabulous vet - she is honest and straight talking but with compassion - she gets on the floor with all my dogs, chats to them, plays with Alfie, is gentle with Mr Finnley. I have a dog who is fear aggressive of people - even Daisy likes Dr Ewing! That says it all! Read Less

Mountainview Animal Hospital is a great place! I have had many great experiences with this clinic. My poor dog stepped on hot coals and burned his paw pads off completely - it was awful. We rushed him to the clinic and the doctors got to work on him right away. Our dog is not easy to deal with as he does not sit still and constantly barks. Every other day we took him in to change his bandages and each time the staff's patience and love for our dog was incredible. They truly care about each pet. Read Less

(A long review but worth the read) Dr. Ewing has been my family's Veterinarian for over twenty years, and she has taken care of all the animals we have had over my lifetime both cats and dogs. Now as an adult with fur babies of my own, there is no one else I would take them too. We followed her when she moved her practice from Brampton to Georgetown. Currently my dog lives 8.5 hours away BUT we made the decision to keep Dr. Ewing as her Veterinarian and we make the long drive to ensure our girl is getting the best care possible (and to visit family). We just added to our furry family again and she will also be another long distance client of Dr. Ewing (she is just that amazing!). As we have been clients for so long, we have had sad and scary moments as well. Regarding the passing of pets or health emergencies and Dr. Ewing and her amazing team have been there every step of the way with love and support. On many occasions she has made the hardest days of our lives bearable and always treated our pets as if they were her own, with love dignity and respect (even shedding a few tears with us). There is no breed discrimination at Mountainview, we have always had German Shepherds and that has never once been a problem for Dr. Ewing. I can not say the same for other clinics(attended in emergencies) where a muzzle was insisted upon without even assessing the temperament, rather basing it on the breed. My absolute favourite thing about Dr. Ewing is that she does not make large dogs get up on the table, instead forgoing her own comfort for that of the animals by getting down on the floor with them. She masks an exam as petting and attention and most importantly is patient and understanding of pets who are nervous. Before your pet knows it you are all done and heading out the door stress free. The prices are very reasonable and honestly based on the level of customer service, knowledge, expertise, and all around atmosphere I would happily pay twice the cost knowing my family member was receiving the very best care possible. I have hundreds of good and not a single bad thing to say about Mountainview. The bottom line is, if you want the very best then Mountainview is the place to go. Read Less

Dr. Ewing has been our cats' vet for about 20 years. When she moved to Georgetown to open her practice it was not a hard decision to make the trek from Brampton to continue under her care. Her patience and understanding of animals are fantastic. Even after our terrified cat gave her a horrific bite on the hand she did not blame him in the least. He continued to see her (with a little help from Valium) until his death. Her incredible knowledge and love of animals and their care is self-evident. She and her staff always go out of their way to be helpful. My daughter spent her grade 9 "Take your kid to work day" with Dr. Ewing and her staff.
