My mom rush wrote the last review and Im here to reword it. It is hard to believe that this place has good reviews. Please be wary as many companies get friends, staff and family to leave good reviews and there is NOTHING good about this place. For those who have ever owned a guinea pig, you would know that the moment they show sign of an illness it's almost too late so I panicked and made a lot of calls. This was the only vet available to see Thor and the exam fee was $100 plus tax. I couldn't really afford it but took him anyways since I didn't want to see my beloved pet suffer. When we arrived, the place had a pretty bad odor and was messy. Honestly, we should have turned around then but we were too desperate and wanted to figure out what was going on with my guinea pig. So I stayed. Big mistake. First off, the doctor gave a lot of false and misleading information about nutrition and care for guinea pigs. In the wild they do eat hay and grass but they would eat veggies if they had more access and they did eat leaves, plants and anything they could get their teeth on. A guinea pig CAN survive on just hay but its life would not be long and happy. Guinea pigs need vitamin C to stay healthy and not once was that mentioned. Being on just hay would not provide them with the vitamin C they needed. He told me to stop feeding veggies to all my piggies and I feel that was his way of getting more money out of me once my guinea pigs became unhealthy. Only did he know that I was not planning on coming back after that point. He claimed to 'cure' diabetes. I will just let that one speak for itself. There is no cure but there is such thing as getting it under control. I may not be a doctor, but Im not stupid. I have never seen a veterinarian struggle so much to get a thermometer reading. He couldn't seem to figure out where the rear was and for someone who has been in the practice for 35 years should know that better than the back of his hand by now. Hell even I could figure that one out. You got the 'male parts' the grease gland, then the butt. Seemed like he was trying to get a reading from everywhere EXCEPT the rear. He had to use two stethoscopes to listen to Thors heart and gut because they were so old they barely worked. Now since I was on a limited budget, I was asking if certain things were included which I was told they were. Every vet I've ever been too has ALWAYS been upfront about the costs. They weren't. At the end the bill was $186. He did feed Thor a little bit of Critical care but Thor didn't really take much and he never told us there would be a charge and he sent us home with some which is also what brought the bill up. Shortly after leaving, I found out that I can buy the same stuff from the pet store or amazon for under 20 dollars. We got charged 80 dollars for Thor to be force fed for 5 minutes, and to get stuff that I can buy for cheap. It is now Thursday and there have been NO improvements and now Thor wont even touch the critical care. He just spits it all out after. I can't afford to go see another vet because I actually spent some of my bill money to have Thor seen too and was robbed by this 'vet' for his visit. My mom called and demanded for the 80 back as we feel we were really overcharged and taken advantage of and the vet just became moody and began to yell a bit. Something that seems to be quite common from the previous reviews I've read. Tip, if you are going to run a business of any kind, NEVER yell at clients no matter how angry you or the client may be. It was very unprofessional and rude. We are under enough stress as it is and he should understand that if he was a decent person. Also, if you are not a client and have an emergency in the middle of the night, DONT bother even calling them. They don't care. If you are not already a client they will turn you down. These people do not care about animals and care more about money and how many clients they have. The closest emergency animal hospital is in London which is a 40 minute drive away. I feel bad for the animals he's refused to help who probably didn't make it for that 40 minute drive. My mother and I were appalled when he told us that. You can't class your practice as a hospital and refuse patients. That would be like going to Victoria Hospital and being turned down for not being a patient. If you need someone who is knowledgeable and honest, bring your pet to a homeless man. You would get way better results from that. Read Less

Very good vet! My baby pot bellied pig would have died without them. They were very reasonably priced and offered excellent care for my piglet! Did everything they could and fixed her problem. They even stayed almost 3 hours later than their office hours on Valentines day to make sure my pig was okay and that we understood exactly how to care for her afterwards. Truly amazing experience and highly recommend them. Read Less

I called into this place looking for prices on euthanasia for my 2 year old rat who has cancer tumours. The receptionist asked if I have taken her to a vet and I said no because every place wanted $90+ just to examine her. (I've had rats for years, and as much as I love them it's just not worth it to get all of their tumours removed.) So this lady begins yelling at me, calling me irresponsible and that I can't "shop for prices over the phone." I asked what the standard price would be and she told me if I couldn't afford $90 to take my sweet dying girl to the vet then I couldn't afford them. She yelled at me some more, calling me poor and then slammed the phone down. If I could give this place -10 stars I would. I'd consider getting a new receptionist who seems like they are about their business. Read Less
