I stopped going here after I left my young cat with them so they could get a clean urine sample naturally. When I came to get him five days later I found him in a kennel in a room with dogs barking non-stop in complete shut down. He was so freaked out they couldn't even get him out of his cage and had me do it. In five days they turned my poor baby into a feral cat. Because he was aggressive they claimed they couldn't care for him and for five days he sat in his own feces and urine (was covered and needed a bath as soon as we got home). Did they call me and tell me to come get him? Nope, they told me every time I called he was fine. They straight up lied to me and neglected a very well loved and cared for cat. Never trust these people with your animals. They also claimed my oldest cat was aggressive and refused to treat her. Funny that the vet who has been seeing her for 8 years now has no issues with her. She's a big fluffy ball of purring of love as long as she's handled properly. They tortured her when she had her anal glands expressed. I'd never heard her make such awful sounds. Find a better vet. I did.

We have been taking our animals to this clinic for over 10 years, and we were never impressed with the service we received from any of the staff. Our dog had surgery to remove a lump on his hind leg, only to have the staples and stitches fall out a few days later. Brought him back to have it fixed up again, with an astronomical fee of course, only to have those stitches and staples fall out again. Dr. Carver wouldn't return any of my phone calls to try and get this resolved, so we were forced to take him to another vet to fix the problem she created. Please do not take any animal to this place!!

They refused to express the anal glands of my one cats because she was "too vicious" even though my current vet has no problems with her, she's basically a quiet rag doll with them no matter what they do to her. Which is who my cat is, not what they said she was.
My last visit there was after leaving another cat with them for five days to try and get a urine sample. They neglected to tell me they were unable to go near his kennel (again because he was "too vicious") which meant he hadn't eaten, he was COVERED in his own feces, and was so terrified from being in a room with CONSTANT barking.
He was a mess and I was livid. There is something VERY wrong with the people at this clinic that they seem to bring out nothing but fear in every animal of mine they've treated. They are rude on the phone and are awful with cats. They might be fine with dogs but I won't trust mine with them after how they treated my cats!

I drive in from Ottawa, because of the service and heartfelt care provided at the Verona Animal Hospital.
I have never had a bad visit in the 8 years we have been going. The staff is always patient and more than happy to answer any questions I have in person and over the phone. They're also willing to go out of their way to accommodate my distance from the clinic (shipping prescription refills etc.)
Moreover, Dr. Carver is a wonderful person who truly loves what she does, and treats every patient like her own. She is incredibly knowledgable and takes the least invasive treatment route whenever possible. She has a fantastic 'bedside manner' and gets at the dogs' level for check ups, rather than putting them up on the table and making them nervous. My whole family adores her (people and pets).
I trust the Verona Animal Hospital, without a doubt, to keep my dog healthy and happy.

Our dog had previously been going to another vet who prescribed a special diet and some daily medicine for our small dog with bladder stones. I was unsure of the diagnosis so I went to Verona Animal Hospital for another opinion.
They corrected the previous diagnosis and recommended immediate surgery. The surgery was performed with a great amount of attention to detail. Our dog also needed a blood transfusion afterwards, and the staff were VERY attentive to our dog's needs during this process.
Every member of the staff team is extremely compassionate, intelligent and attentive to pets' needs. They put a GREAT amount of effort into making sure that my dog was cared for like it was their own. I am absolutely blown away by the work of the Verona Animal Hospital and I would greatly recommend them to anyone with pet needs.
If that wasn't enough, their prices were better than anyone else we talked to. I called several times over a few days and everyone I talked to was extremely polite and kind. Couldn't be more impressed with their work, especially that of Dr. Nilo.

Kind, caring and competent staff, wonderful prices, great atmosphere.
Such a caring staff out at Verona Animal Hospital! About 2-3 years ago I took my two male kittens to get their vaccinations, and then later neutered(They even gave us a discount for having both cats cared for at the same time), and our kitties were up on their feet in no time. No scars, no complications, and they got lots of treats during the visits! Besides the drive, the had a wonderful experience, and as a first time pet owner, so did I. I now have another kitten, this time female, who will be taken care of at the VAH!

I stopped going here after I left my young cat with them so they could get a clean urine sample naturally. When I came to get him five days later I found him in a kennel in a room with dogs barking non-stop in complete shut down. He was so freaked out they couldn't even get him out of his cage and had me do it. In five days they turned my poor baby into a feral cat. Because he was aggressive they claimed they couldn't care for him and for five days he sat in his own feces and urine (was covered and needed a bath as soon as we got home). Did they call me and tell me to come get him? Nope, they told me every time I called he was fine. They straight up lied to me and neglected a very well loved and cared for cat. Never trust these people with your animals. They also claimed my oldest cat was aggressive and refused to treat her. Funny that the vet who has been seeing her for 8 years now has no issues with her. She's a big fluffy ball of purring of love as long as she's handled properly. They tortured her when she had her anal glands expressed. I'd never heard her make such awful sounds. Find a better vet. I did.

We have been taking our animals to this clinic for over 10 years, and we were never impressed with the service we received from any of the staff. Our dog had surgery to remove a lump on his hind leg, only to have the staples and stitches fall out a few days later. Brought him back to have it fixed up again, with an astronomical fee of course, only to have those stitches and staples fall out again. Dr. Carver wouldn't return any of my phone calls to try and get this resolved, so we were forced to take him to another vet to fix the problem she created. Please do not take any animal to this place!!

They refused to express the anal glands of my one cats because she was "too vicious" even though my current vet has no problems with her, she's basically a quiet rag doll with them no matter what they do to her. Which is who my cat is, not what they said she was.
My last visit there was after leaving another cat with them for five days to try and get a urine sample. They neglected to tell me they were unable to go near his kennel (again because he was "too vicious") which meant he hadn't eaten, he was COVERED in his own feces, and was so terrified from being in a room with CONSTANT barking.
He was a mess and I was livid. There is something VERY wrong with the people at this clinic that they seem to bring out nothing but fear in every animal of mine they've treated. They are rude on the phone and are awful with cats. They might be fine with dogs but I won't trust mine with them after how they treated my cats!

I have never had a bad visit in the 8 years we have been going. The staff is always patient and more than happy to answer any questions I have in person and over the phone. They're also willing to go out of their way to accommodate my distance from the clinic (shipping prescription refills etc.)
Moreover, Dr. Carver is a wonderful person who truly loves what she does, and treats every patient like her own. She is incredibly knowledgable and takes the least invasive treatment route whenever possible. She has a fantastic 'bedside manner' and gets at the dogs' level for check ups, rather than putting them up on the table and making them nervous. My whole family adores her (people and pets).
I trust the Verona Animal Hospital, without a doubt, to keep my dog healthy and happy.
