Dr. Beresford is the most genuine veterinarian I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She truly has your pets well being at heart; she will never opt for expensive treatments or surgeries just to make a quick buck. She will only suggest treatments that are truly beneficial to your pets health. Just an incredible human being. I have been going to her for care for nearly ten years. I have moved all over the province and have always made the drive to see her. She is worth it! She has helped me through many after hour emergencies over the phone and in person. Dr. BJ Beresford has been caring for my 12 year old little Lucy for years, and I've never been anything but happy with her services. Three years ago, at midnight on boxing day, Lucy got into some poison. Dr. BJ came out of her home (and I assume her bed), and cleared the poison from my girls' tummy. She literally saved her life with her speed of service, compassion, and willingness to help at any hour. She'd have been dead by morning without seeing her vet immediately. Today, when her clinic wasn't even open, she answered her cell phone and walked me through an emergency and helped me make my little girl feel better from a distance. These are just two examples of Dr BJ's care and compassionate personality. I have moved from Amaranth to Alliston, then to Hamilton, and now Toronto. And until the day my little Lucy leaves me, Dr. BJ will always be the one who cares for her. I will drive any distance to ensure Lucy gets her care from Dr. BJ. I have been dealing with BJ and the Amaranth Animal hospital for about 6 years now. The expertise, level of care and compassion for the animals is second to none. My border collie recently suffered a severe neck injury on the eve of my departure for vacation, BJ and the staff at Amaranth not only nursed her back to health but put my mind at ease. I was going to cancel the trip but instead went and allowed BJ and staff and my dog Judy to concentrate on her recovery. It's been 13 days since the injury, Judy is home with me, some follow up treatments are scheduled but it's looking like Judy will be making a full recovery over the next couple of months thanks to the diligence, expertise and compassion of BJ and her staff.
