The knowledge shared, my questions answered and the calls for follow up is so appreciated. Al the staff are friendly and caring. Molly does not have any problems going to see the doctor!

Be aware that their consultation fees start at $107.24- much higher then others and for your first visit they charge a ‘non- established client fee- of $50!!! which is a made up fee they created to charge clients.
Unbelievable- we told them that we moved and do not have a vet. We went to another vet in town for an EMERGENCY because this place couldn’t do an emergency appointment.
They are in it for the money!!! 45 years of vet services around the province and I know when to smell a skunk!

It started when we attempted to bring our pet in from living minutes down the road since he was acting very strange in the morning.
When we called the office around 8/830 we talked to a women named maria who told us we had to wait up to THREE hours to see our vet even with living so close and at the time not knowing if his potentially his life on the line after diagnosing symptoms to the technician over the phone.
Once we arrive we wait out in the waiting room while my pet is panting his life away and noone shows any urgency at the front desk.
The stay was all of 5-10 minutes as our vet was never informed of his condition before we arrived and had advise us to rush him to an emergency hospital in Mississauga by this time it was too late.
We return to follow up on the appointment yesterday and weren't given any real answers and were charged close to 300 dollars for making us wait in the waiting room with a panting pet and also charging us close to 700/800 dollars in meds the week BEFORE. We asked for some type of reimbursement and they showed no compassion and were unable to do anything. Would never return and i had two dogs there over the course of 20+ years. Terrible service when it mattered. Only want to stay financially secure.

She was on the steroid prednisone before we got to this vet but wanted to see if we could ...
I first switched to this vet to try and find more answers to my dogs extreme allergies and skin conditions.
She was on the steroid prednisone before we got to this vet but wanted to see if we could get to the root of the issue and find a better option.
THOUSANDS of dollars later, and trials of EVERYTHING else (and all was guessing as they did NOT know what the issues were) …then to dermatologist because they could NOT help to try even more options that failed…we realized she might have to be on this medication forever (which is not great for her, but at least she will be comfortable). This was a conversion I had with the vet.
So when I asked for the medication to be renewed they said no and they need to see her. (Again thousands of dollars later and trying everything else AND having a conversation with the VET telling ME there might not be another solution) they want me to pay the additional vet fees for the same solution.
At this time I expressed I financially don't have the means to pay for another visit right now and would have to wait maybe a few weeks.
I’m asking for enough medication to make my dog comfortable until I can afford the visit and the response I got was "You can use a credit card."
CLEARLY my dog’s best interest is not their priority.
Had I not tried everything else before their argument that they need to see her again before giving this mediation again (we have repeated this cycle many times) I might see their point...
Not even to give an option to make my dog comfortable for a few weeks until I get in is disgusting. I now realize their motivations are only financial and not what’s best for my dog. I will never return.

I have been bringing my beloved pets to this Animal Hospital since 1998, and in all that time have had the most amazing service one can hope for. The Doctors, and all staff are so caring and professional - they are so kind and sympathetic when sad things happen and somehow they make it so much easier to bear. I would recommend the Grimsby Animal Hospital to everyone who wants nothing but the best for their pets. I am so grateful to have them when I need them!! Havik was having eye infection and after trying to fix the problem it developed in the other eye.I called for an appointment and received one for the afternoon.Soon after they called me back and said there was a cancellation,could I bring him in the next 15 minutes. Dr.Peters checked him out and gave us some ointment for him. She gave him a good examination while we were there. I have been bringing my pets here for years and they are so nice and accommodating and always pleasant.

After walking our dog today we returned to find he had cut the pad on his back paw-it was bloody and we were worried. I called and was told to bring him right in. It was a Saturday morning and they were fully booked, we only had to wait 15 minutes before seeing Dr. Peters, she gives such great care to our dog and although the cut wasn't as bad as we thought she checked him over good and reassured us that he'd be fine. The staff at this hospital are so wonderful and we truly appreciate all that they do for us. Thank you for being so professional and caring! I also love the personalized notes she makes on our invoices! You guys are top notch!

When I moved to Grimsby I never thought I would find a Vet as great as the one I had in Brampton!!! I was wrong, Dr Gough is so kind and made me feel welcome and sometimes I think she loves my pets just as much as I do! The entire staff goes above and beyond! I couldn't recommend them all enough! They also are so patient as I have 3 little boys and they are so very helpful every time I come in. Thank you to all of you!

Great staff!!! I can't say enough great things about this animal hospital... The veterinarians are kind, caring, informative... from start to finish. I've had a new puppy there to get vaccinations and a full checkup, to senior dogs with old age issues and a cat too.The staff is with you every step of the way, even when you have to make that dreadful decision to put a beloved pet down. I would have called, however I am still blubbering over the loss of my Jazzy Girl. I am not very coherent when tears are streaming down my face. To Doctor Suzi Peters, I will always remember how wonderful you were with me, my sister and Jazzy before she left this world. My heart aches, however I know that Jazzy is no longer in pain and l feel so blessed to have had her in our family for the almost 16 years. Friendly, caring staff and Dr. Suzi Peters was amazing with surgery and follow up. She can also help small animals. We are in South Niagara but it was worth the drive to Grimsby.

I have been bringing my beloved pets to this Animal Hospital since 1998, and in all that time have had the most amazing service one can hope for. The Doctors, and all staff are so caring and professional - they are so kind and sympathetic when sad things happen and somehow they make it so much easier to bear. I would recommend the Grimsby Animal Hospital to everyone who wants nothing but the best for their pets. I am so grateful to have them when I need them!! Don't hesitate to take your beloved pets to them!!

Havik was having eye infection and after trying to fix the problem it developed in the other eye.I called for an appointment and received one for the afternoon.Soon after they called me back and said there was a cancellation,could I bring him in the next 15 minutes. Dr.Peters checked him out and gave us some ointment for him. She gave him a good examination while we were there. I have been bringing my pets here for years and they are so nice and accommodating and always pleasant.

Over the years we have brought our dogs in for routine check ups as well as serious illnesses. We know that they are in the best of hands. After walking our dog today we returned to find he had cut the pad on his back paw-it was bloody and we were worried. I called and was told to bring him right in. It was a Saturday morning and they were fully booked, we only had to wait 15 minutes before seeing Dr. Peters, she gives such great care to our dog and although the cut wasn't as bad as we thought she checked him over good and reassured us that he'd be fine. The staff at this hospital are so wonderful and we truly appreciate all that they do for us. Thank you for being so professional and caring! I also love the personalized notes she makes on our invoices! You guys are top notch!

When I moved to Grimsby I never thought I would find a Vet as great as the one I had in Brampton!!! I was wrong, Dr Gough is so kind and made me feel welcome and sometimes I think she loves my pets just as much as I do! The entire staff goes above and beyond! I couldn't recommend them all enough! They also are so patient as I have 3 little boys and they are so very helpful every time I come in. Thank you to all of you!

I've had a new puppy there to get vaccinations and a full checkup, to senior dogs with old age issues and a cat too.The staff is with you every step of the way, even when you have to make that dreadful decision to put a beloved pet down. They have a special lovely room like a room in your own home for this purpose.Welcoming environment, smiling faces, personable people. Cheers!

To the most compassionate, caring and beautiful Vets and Staff, I thank you so much for your generous gift of flowers. I would have called, however I am still blubbering over the loss of my Jazzy Girl. I am not very coherent when tears are streaming down my face. To Doctor Suzi Peters, I will always remember how wonderful you were with me, my sister and Jazzy before she left this world. My heart aches, however I know that Jazzy is no longer in pain and l feel so blessed to have had her in our family for the almost 16 years. And, thank you all for the wonderful care that you give all our animals. You are the best! Connie
