The BEST vet we have ever had over the years. From multiple moves we have had at least 4. Kind, caring, knowledgeable, accommodating and genuine are but a few ways to describe the entire staff. I never feel like the treatments are a money grab. The best example is when our beloved yellow lab Duke was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Most vets would have leaned on use to undergo painful and expensive treatment with uncertain results. Dr. Burmeister guided us through an end-of-life season with Dukey ensuring he had the best quality of life for the few short months of his diagnosis, dying with dignity at the end. When we had doubts she encouraged us that we were being the most loving pet parents and supported our decisions. She was there with us and him at the end as was all of Dukey's assistants. We have complete faith in this clinic and it's staff. They are like family to us and to our newest member of the family Sheeba. Read Less

Love the friendly staff and open, welcoming environment at Livingston and we love Dr. B! The thorough manner with which she listens, asks questions and really "investigates" when examining her patients is so refreshing and reassuring. We moved all of our animals to this practice after asking her for a second opinion regarding our cat "Fuzzy" and his sudden degenerating health. I am quite sure that Dr Burmeister saved his life - her ongoing inquiry in to his symptoms and the calls to see if ongoing treatment was producing results was soooo appreciated and reassuring. We had been trying to help our cat who was vomiting and not eating or drinking and arrived at a point where the next step was to get an ultrasound. Our regular vet didn't have that capability so they referred us to Vet Emergency in Oakville. The ultrasound diagnosed the problem as a foreign object in the small intestine. The rest of the experience at Vet Emergency, including cost for surgery was a nightmare. We left depressed that we were unable to afford to help save our cats life now that we knew what the problem was. Luckily, my brother knew the vets and had dealt with Livingston for their cat in the past with very positive things to say about their practice. Stressing how they care more about helping animals than making a million dollars. So we called, and we found that we would be able to afford the surgery at Livingston and we were able to remove the object from our cat and save his life. We'll be thanking Livingston ourselves personally, but I wanted to share our positive experience with Livingston for the sake of their practice. Thank you Livingston! Read Less
