My cat ate a piece of his toy and had it lodged in his digestive tract and was extremely ill since he couldn't pass it. I was a distraught mess and my cat needed surgery. I called around to a couple of vet offices and the prices varied and they weren't entirely transparent. Cat Clinic made time to meet with me the same day and gave me a couple of quotes based on best and worse case scenarios. The price was good in comparison to other vet clinics and they kept me in the loop about all the fees. My cat was a very difficult patient and despite this they took very good care of him. I also have never met a veterinarian who called when they say they would call and were very informative about the procedure. I just brought my cat home and got a follow-up the next day. I can't say enough good things about this clinic. All cats should come here. Read Less

The staff here are knowledgeable and helpful. They give honest estimates and will set realistic expectation. They love cats and are great at handling them, but are also very good at communicating with people. They call to follow up on you cat's wellbeing but aren't pushy or trying for sales like some other vet clinics in the area. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone with cats. It is expensive and follow-up is lacking. After an invasive procedure my cat was sent home with me with no de-briefing of what symptoms I could expect. They did not phone to follow-up. When I went back it was as if they didn't have a record of what they had done. Treatment options weren't discussed until my cat was very sick. I would not recommend this clinic. Read Less

The amazing staff at the Guelph Cat Clinic took such good care of our male cat Khan. He was very ill, and after relaying his symptoms to them over the phone, they got him in as quickly as possible. Once he went in, they were quick to treat him and get him on the mend, and kept him overnight so they could monitor him closely. They even let us come and visit him while he was staying overnight. Unbelievable how these people would rather my cat die than me be $15 short for one day, yeh some real animal lovers here. Thanks for nothing, what a level of caring turning away an animal you say "needs to be seen immediately" and then tell me since I'm $15 short on a $90 payment that they won't see him, sounds more like they care for money, and not a day late.. EDIT: My buddy is gone now, at least a decent place was able to keep him comfortable and let me be there for him as he went, if you love your little guys do yourself a favor and take them somewhere that actually cares, not here. Today I brought my roommates cat to The Cat Clinic after he got an infection from a tiff he'd been in with another neighbourhood kitty. From the moment I walked in the door to when I walked out everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The vet knew how to handle Rupert and was very sympathetic to the pain that he was in. It was clear that she does as much as possible to keep the cats from becoming overly stressed or traumatized. She was thorough and even pointed out an issue with one of Rupert's teeth. Even since leaving the clinic this afternoon I had to make a call back to the clinic for some questions and the receptionists were so helpful and understanding. Prices were also fair. Your not going to find a better vet for your cat than Dr Maggs at the Guelph Cat Clinic. She saved our cats life on several occasions.  She genuinely cares about the animals she works with, even offering to allow our cat to stay two extra days free of charge just so she could keep an eye on him.
