All vets and staff were very understanding, compassionate, and kind with us and our sweet girl Rosie. Always got an update from the vet personally dealing with her tests and treatments. Dr. Angela and her team had stayed past closing with us and sweet Rosie last Saturday after a very sudden, unexpected and rapid decline with Rosie's health, but we are forever grateful for their care, patience and kindness. I am a Professional Dog Trainer for The Pack Way dog training in Guelph. As such I have a large network of students who attend this clinic, as well as my own pack of dogs being patients here. I am very happy with this clinic, and really like Dr. Diane Corbett. I was recommended to her by a student and I am glad I listened. I am very into not only the training of a dog, but keeping a dog very healthy and minimizing vaccinations, and doing vaccine titers to determine if my dog needs a vaccination first. Diane has been very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Also, her energy in working with animals is fantastic. My Shiloh Shepherd had to have his blood drawn and it was very hard to find a vein. Super helpful, educated and friendly. As someone who prefers to adopt older pets instead of puppies or kittens.... I've seen quite a few veterinary clinics. Hwy 24 Vet Clinic is honestly the best I've been to. Very clean. Very friendly to even the most demanding dog (mine). Affordable. I honestly can't say enough good things about this clinic. I'll never take my pets anywhere else now. They worked within the budget I said I have without going over too, which is a huge deal. I've never had this happen. Anywhere I've ever been they always go over budget even when you tell them you can't pull blood from a stone and the budget you've given them is literally everything you have. Not this clinic, they stayed on budget! They're even working with me to make sure Prancer (my dog) gets his follow up care when he needs it, which is before I get paid! Hwy 24 Vet cares for more than your furry family. They care about you and are very sensitive to the most difficult of times. I lost my Jazzy a few months ago but they fit us in, when it was an emergency. They let me look at the xrays and called me regularly with updates to her condition. Despite me agreeing to surgery, the vet called me with an update just before and was totally honest with me at her chances of survival. This gave me the ability to not prolong my kitties suffering and i know i made the right choice. It was also so nice of them to send me a sympathy card. That meant so much to me. Read Less

After recommending my whole entire family with their pets because I had taken my previous pets there that my ex husband now has, you would think they would be thankful and have respect for someone who has been a long term client. Well that's not the case. My new puppy has been through the worst experience. Ever since we have had her she's been on a lot of medications. I would ask one vet about a concern and he/she would say "oh she's perfectly healthy, it's a boxer thing." And then another vet would tell us she's got every issue on the planet and put her on tons of medications. With a 5 month history of issues and rudeness especially from the ladies at the front desk we followed through with her spay. When we dropped her off, our puppy had a fever but looked healthy as can be, so the vet said. The very next day she had her spay and apparently has skin infections, sore infected ears and feet, bald hair patches and was put on meds for that. We were also told during her spay that they would fix her bellybutton since it was an outie, well they didn't follow through with that either. Then we had to board her for the weekend and the vets administered drugs without our consent which we then had to pay for after her weekend stay. They said she had gastro problems. I think any pet owner would know that anxiety is a huge cause of poop issues. Upon pick up they told me all weekend my puppy was crying and scratching at her ears. Well I've had her home the whole week now and she's been perfectly happy, popping normally and what not. They blamed my puppy's behavior of not scratching or crying on my kids saying that they are a distraction. Even at night with me in my bed she doesn't scratch or cry. If a dog was in pain and has an itch I'm sure it would scratch and not ignore it. After spending a good chunk of cash here and being treated poorly, let's just say we are never returning as the unprofessionalism is unreal.Read Less

Best vets anywhere! We have been bringing our pets here for nearly 20 years and just wouldn't trust them to anyone else. Even though we moved from Guelph to Mississauga 7 years ago, we always bring them to Highway 24 for the excellent care and compassion that have always defined this clinic.
