To all you people churping this clinic.. I simply do not get it. The vet seems like a bit of a hippy lady but all the staff around this place has shown nothing but respect and compassion for my fur babies always fixed them up proper. Also cheapest rates in town. The European guy peter is such a wonderful fella and that beautiful young lady behind the desk is also a saint. And if u havent met and loved marmalade u have deep issues. Read Less

We have been clients of Silvercreek Animal Hospital for many years now. We have experienced the lows of having to have our fur baby (Black Lab) euthanized (due to large cell lymphoma) to the highs of taking our new puppy and family member for her vaccinations and regular check ups. Dr. Beckstead and her staff are exceptional in their field of knowledge and compassion. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. The care is second to none and the prices are great. I took my cat to this vet they didnt no what was wrong.They even sent her out to the universty.Came back that I had a very sick cat.$3000 dollars later.And my cat needed was fixed.they dont care about the animal or the peolple all they want is money. Read Less

I intrusted campus estates animal hospital with the care of my cat and 2 dogs for 5 years only to be sad and betrayed when it came to the well being of my cat because of recent lack of money.I seen the ad for Silvercreek animal hospital and now that im on a fixed income its hard to get care for my pets. I figured I'd give Dr. Beckstead a chance.Im so glad i went.I have had nothing but positive results from Dr. Tamara and her awesome staff.I now take my 2 dogs and have passed my great experiences with friends and neighbors.Its also good for those of us who dont always have wheels, that they will pick up and drop off beloved fur babies. the doctor here was unbelievably rude. She snapped on me for asking too many questions (which I don't think is that unreasonable to do given that it pertains to my dogs health). I could not believe it. And based on the rest of the reviews this doesn't seem to be isolated. Also, if your going to be rude to someone at least have the decency to wipe that clown makeup off your face first. I want you to check my dogs health, not juggle bowling pins. Meeting Tammy and namely Peter her tech (huge heart, Richard right up there too!)  Our black Lab, Oprah we felt she should have been put down last year.  We hung onto hope.  (almost 11 last summer, arthritis but no hip dysplasia,  She had an infection and ulcer and anemia it turned out.  I must credit Tammy and her crew coming to our home to administer much needed IV fluids and antibiotics for at least 72 hours 8, 4 and midnight and we saw improvement.  Because of Oprah's size Tammy called U.S. supplier to get proper dose of Metacam - Turns out they prescribed according to her weight and not for her breed - made her sicker. Tammy told us she would try and get some money back for us from American supplier, but she didn't follow up with us  Tammy went out of her way on a Sunday to insert pic line and apply fentanyl patches for pain.  This started summer of 2016, Oprah had to be euthanized Mar. 10/17, stopped eating and had developed a terrible hacking cough and didn't want to put her through any further medical testing.  Tammy was out of town the day we had to put her down so we took Tammy's stand-in at Silvercreek Vet at Tammy;s hospital who was and is not qualified to put down a goldfish.  I can't begin to explain what we and especially Oprah went thru.  We were grateful when Peter her Tech showed up,  Money was irrelevant really though $8000.00 since last July/16.  Worth every penny to have her comfortable if even for just a few more months.  Peter did follow up on a daily basis  by phone callswhilst she was ill last summer, a very respectful young man.  My husband and I lost our real life daughter, 4 years ago this fall, so I am guilty for Oprah's weight gain since at that time of loss, we transferred the love of our daughter to our pet - not the same and we realize that but she helped our void to a point.  To us, it was a huge loss in a short period of time. I must add her stand in vet for the euthansia, which we sat on floor with Oprah,  could you imagine, missing vein, started to bleed, couldn't help myself so I rubbed my hand in it..Then second leg, then third leg.  She was so scared and our guilt we will never get over.  It's like our Danielle had been lost again.  Tammy does have rather high prices but we thought you get what you pay for.  Tammy called us tonight to offer kind condolences and I mentioned her stand-in Vet and advised her to not allow her to put any other family through this.  I hope Tammy reflects on Oprah's care first and foremost.  The Metacam people should also pay for Oprah's further suffering of last summer.  If cost isn't an issue to anyone attending Tammy and Peter at Silvercreek Animal Hospital, I would strongly recommend absolutely no substitution on 'stand ins' who lacked caring, professinalism, compassion and sensitivity to both your pet and yourselves - you will have as great a grief as losing a child. Just brought our healthy five year old cat here to get his urine tested since he's been peeing all over the house. We brought him in to get his urine tested, two hours later he was dead in their care. We are currently in the process of getting a necropsy at the university to determine the cause of death Read Less

I went here a few years back to get my bunny spayed. Aside from feeling over charged, I noticed the lead vet treated her staff with utter indecency. I get it, everyone can have a bad day, however the belligerency I felt she had towards others was enough to put me off from ever reccomeding her to anyone, over any other capable vet in town. I'm not saying she doesn't do a good job but it's the age of customer service and first impressions mean a lot. Respect your staff if you are a leader. Animals are sensitive beings and you present yourself as someone with bad energy. Read Less

Went to this vet specifically because it was close by and because they had the assistance program for low income families. I brought my puppy and immediately started getting ripped of. I was paying more than I should have and was getting more than needed. The vet told me my puppy needed extra shots, and extra things such as special food, special spray for operation anxiety, as well as giving my dog too much of a flee treatment pill (2 and a half pills for a 4 month old puppy...). When speaking to the vets receptionist, he told me the vet makes up the prices and that they can't be changed without her consent. And after I explained that I was changing vet clinics, the vet at silvercreek decided to call me and pretty much guilt me into staying and paying her MORE money. I told her that I WAS changing vets and hung up. I wouldn't recommend going to this vet, as she is out of control and needs to think about the animals and their owners. Not just herself. If you love your pet do not ever go here!! They are nothing but scammers and the vet there is the most money hungry person I have ever encountered. My cats paw was injured and I was charged 65 dollars for a bandage when the entire role cost 5 bucks!! People work hard for their money and try to take care of their pets the best they can but this vet thinks its okay to scam people like this. warning - do not come to this clinic !!!!  i took my male cat for the operation - just a simple procedure -neuter male cattamara - 'cut up' my cat's testicles . charged me 360$ . i had to take my cat to emergency clinic - everything came out to 4000$my emergency bill  ---due to tamara's un professionalism   -- cost me 4000$     -----i called back  to the clinic to get  my money back   ----got tamara on the phone    --- she --did nooooot --give me money back and on top of it all --- and she disrespected me as a client if you want your pet to be chopped up and pay for it,,,,,go ahead.this clinic is ghetto !! unprofessional!
