Hanover Veterinary Clinic is one of the best vet clinics I've ever used. They are caring, compassionate and dedicated at all levels, from their front office staff through their techs and vets. They are modern and well equipped, but understand working within a budget, and generally will suggest the more moderate and affordable solution to your pet's condition when one is available. As an added bonus, they offer after hours emergency service, which is increasingly rare.Their secondary location, Walkerton Veterinary Clinic, offers large and small animal care. The entire staff at Hanover Veterinary Hospital have impressed me with their consistently excellent care. We've used them for numerous surgical procedures, from spay/neuters to c-sections, and their operating room procedure is top knotch. For day to day care, they are informed and up to date, but allow me to make my own choices for the care of my pets, based on my personal preference for non invasive care whenever possible. They support my preference for a modified vaccine protocol for my dogs, and for my preference to not use insecticides. In emergencies, they are easy to reach and willing to accommodate the needs of my pets, even if it's a holiday weekend at 3 am. Clinics with this level of dedication are increasingly difficult to find. Additionally, they have been generously supportive of our breed rescue, offering their services at well below costs. I've used numerous vets over the years, including specialty clinics, but HVH has always exceeded my expectations. Read Less

Our malamute-cross introduced herself to a porcupine late Saturday afternoon. We had never used HVH before, but we called the office (which was closed) and got the number for the on-call vet. He met us at the office, sedated our dog, and removed the quills, and we were back at the cottage in time for supper. Hopefully she's learned her lesson and will stay away from porcupines from now on. Thanks again to Dr. Bill Ferguson for his help! Read Less
