Horrible place!! Extremely expensive for the mediocre service. Worst vet in town! Tricked me into coming in for an exam when we had just had our dog in for a $1600.00 surgery a month before. I was tricked by there staff into thinking it was a follow up and was forced to pay the $120 dollar office visit again. Poor customer service! Bad attitude from the staff. I had recommended this place to a friend he is going through hell with this place trying to get meds cause there pulling the same scam have to pay for the office visit which he already has a few months prior. Definitely not recommend this place to anyone and will warn everyone I know to stay away from muskoka animal hospital!

Brenda Cameron of this organization is a very unethical individual and you must all avoid this clinic
First off, I was charged $4.07 per 5mg prednisone tab, when typically they are dispensed at $0.30. This is 13 times more then the average cost.
Secondly this clinic is is refusing to dispense any further medication to my dog after they have been prescribing it to him for the last 10 months. They are currently demanding that in addition to his annual visit i come in 2 months early. I currently had an annual exam scheduled for September 28th but now they want me to pay an additional 120 visit fee plus blood work fees before he can have the meds he NEEDS
He has been on this medication for the last 2 1/2 years of his life. These meds save his quality of life. There are no other options but this medication. Without his skin scales. fur falls out and is in complete agony from hot itchy skin.
As I see it and as well as the numerous people that I have discussed it with fell this is completely UNETHICAL and that they are holding my dogs health hostage.
This Clinic cares more about how they can rip people off and generate more money. They do not care about the well being of your animal.
I am lucky that I have a veterinary advice from a distance and am completely aware at there tactics of fear mongering individuals into paying for more services then are required.
I assure you that I will be spreading the word about your clinic and tactics.

Regarding spay - use the laser treatment. It amplifies healing by 3x. My dog was runing around without incident from day 2.

I take my pup here. They are extremely thorough and a little costly - but really...you get what you pay for. I'd rather ensure the longevity of my pup than miss something serious. The staff are super fantastic and friendly.
I'm from a medical field myself and I was surprised that they allow me to watch some of the procedures (and to comfort my pup)
They also send email/text reminders, give quotes on procedures and follow up emails. Again, awesome customer service.

A great job well done! Very pleased with Dr Shael and Olivia :) . So very kind, humble and professional. We were relieved that the c-section was avoided and that the pup and mom are healthy. I have to say that Dr Shael did not make me feel uncomfortable at all. Most often when going in for an emergency c-section I feel as if I have no place in the situation. Yet Dr Shael made me feel at ease and respected. Very impressed! And Olivia was always concerned about our feelings and comfort, what a doll! I am so happy I met these two! Keep up the excellent work! P.S. we named the pup Shael. Just too good a name not to!

This animal hospital is the best animal hospital I have ever been too. I have two huskies and on the long weekend at the cottage my puppy of 5 months got badly hurt. I made a phone call at 6 a.m. to their after hours phone number and I was able to reach a veterinarian (Dr. Shael) immediately. He allowed us to bring in our dog and immediately began working on her with such attentive care, she was better within hours. Even though we live hours away, this clinic will now be our veterinarian clinic because of the care we received. I highly recommend this hospital team for your pet health care needs.

This animal hospital is the best animal hospital I have ever been too. I have two huskies and on the long weekend at the cottage my puppy of 5 months got badly hurt. I made a phone call at 6 a.m. to their after hours phone number and I was able to reach a veterinarian (Dr. Shael) immediately. A while back we were having some problems with our Brittany , she was having fainting spells. I new someone that had taken their cat to Muskoka Animal Hospital , so called right away. As I was not a client I didn't know how fast I would get in but they could just tell how worried we were and told is to come right away. We were treated great. The professionalism combined with a very respectful attitude made my first experience with Dr. Shael GREAT. He understood and appreciated my imput seeing as we've been breeding yorkies and shih tzu for over 16 years at Muskoka Paws Kennel. Both he and Olivia were super nice and thank you both! It was a night of many 'firsts'. lol.

A great job well done! Very pleased with Dr Shael and Olivia :) . So very kind, humble and professional. We were relieved that the c-section was avoided and that the pup and mom are healthy. I have to say that Dr Shael did not make me feel uncomfortable at all. Most often when going in for an emergency c-section I feel as if I have no place in the situation. Yet Dr Shael made me feel at ease and respected. Very impressed! And Olivia was always concerned about our feelings and comfort, what a doll! I am so happy I met these two! Keep up the excellent work! P.S. we named the pup Shael. Just too good a name not to!

This animal hospital is the best animal hospital I have ever been too. I have two huskies and on the long weekend at the cottage my puppy of 5 months got badly hurt. I made a phone call at 6 a.m. to their after hours phone number and I was able to reach a veterinarian (Dr. Shael) immediately. He allowed us to bring in our dog and immediately began working on her with such attentive care, she was better within hours. Even though we live hours away, this clinic will now be our veterinarian clinic because of the care we received. I highly recommend this hospital team for your pet health care needs.

This animal hospital is the best animal hospital I have ever been too. I have two huskies and on the long weekend at the cottage my puppy of 5 months got badly hurt. I made a phone call at 6 a.m. to their after hours phone number and I was able to reach a veterinarian (Dr. Shael) immediately. He allowed us to bring in our dog and immediately began working on her with such attentive care, she was better within hours. Even though we live hours away, this clinic will now be our veterinarian clinic because of the care we received. I highly recommend this hospital team for your pet health care needs.

A while back we were having some problems with our Brittany , she was having fainting spells. I new someone that had taken their cat to Muskoka Animal Hospital , so called right away. As I was not a client I didn't know how fast I would get in but they could just tell how worried we were and told is to come right away. We were treated great. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgable. I would recommend Muskoka Animal Hospital to all my friends and family.
