Just walked out and will never return. Taking my business to Alcona Vet instead. Had an appointment for my dogs second boosters last night, called them to say I may run a bit late and was told don't worry at all, just come in tomorrow and we will take care of it. I re iterated many times, are you sure? I was told yes. I get there today with my wife and they basically say "why are you here", smirk and mock us and say well we don't have time. This is a terrible way to treat a new client, especially in a small town. They easily could have brought him in and given him his shots, that's what it takes to essentially build a relationship with your community, not laugh in your clients face and mock them and say ok bye. Dr. Saini and his team were great! They were able to tell me what was wrong with my dog that day, put her on antibiotics (which has already helped significantly) and have her booked in the new year for surgery, and all for a great price. I had gone to another local vet several months ago when my dog was vomiting repeatedly, to be charged $600 (without being told the price until I paid!) and to have no diagnosis, only for me to later realize that she was just experiencing anxiety from being away from my mom! I understand why they wanted to do these tests, but my parents were away and I'm a university student so that was quite a bit for me to pay, especially with no warning. I have been a client at this clinic since the early 90's. The service has changed dramatically. The cost effective rates are no longer. The receptionist is confused and mixes up medications and you are no longer treated with a family feel. I've had several animals in my life and currently still have 3 dogs and 4 cats. I moved up to Innisfil 3 years ago and have not been impressed with the level of care my pets have received at this location. There are too many vets here and only Saini is actually competent/capable of doing more than administering shots or providing general pet advice. Saini has treated my dogs successfully, but the same cant be said of his associate vets. My shitzu is 13 years old and suffers from occasional lumps that have been tested for cancer cells but are always benign. Dr. Salima advised me that one of these lumps was just a cycst that could be cut and the debris could be removed so as to not continue to grow and impede his ear canal. He has had this bump for quite a long time but I was worried it would continue to grow per her warnings. I allowed her to cut the cyst, but it was not a cyst at all and instead a growth! It was solid flesh and could not be removed unless he was sedated. I was stuck there for an hour while she tried to get his ear to stop bleeding and it continued to reopen at home for the next couple of days. He was in a lot of discomfort. My dogs issue was not resolved, only exasterbated, and yet I was still charged for this service. My mastiff had an issue with producing a large amount of black discharge from his ear so I took him into the vets. I believe I met with Dr. Basavaraj who was terrified of my mastiff because the dog was watching him. He wanted to muzzle him. The vet seemed very inexperienced with handling dogs. He advised me that my dog was allergic to something in my home and sold me a bunch of ear cleaning products. I used these products for over a year once or twice a week thinking that he had an ongoing allergy issue. When I took him into my vets back in Newmarket they performed a swab test and informed me that my dog had been suffering from a yeast infection in his ear. They gave me proper medication and the issue was resolved shortly. Read Less

I've used Innisfil Veterinary Hospital on and off for a few years. They are always professional, passionate about animals and have reasonable prices.When we had to put down our dog in 2005, they were very understanding, compassionate and accommodating. They had us bring her in during the lunch hour so that we would have privacy and their undivided attention. They were very professional, understanding, sympathetic and courteous, which was really important during that difficult time.More recently, we took Joel's parents dog there for a check up and shots. They cut his nails (which was difficult beyond words!! lol), gave him a check up, rabies vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine, heart-worm test, and six months of flea/tick/heart-worm/parasite prevention medicine all for $280, which I thought was pretty reasonable.Definitely a great place to take your furry loved one! Do NOT go to this Vet!!! Dr Saini (owner of the practice) told me, verbatim, after I made the VERY hard decision to put down my animal that had been aggressively attacking my family and myself for the safety of others and my 9 month old baby niece.. "You do not care about your cat if you are willing to just sign the papers and not try the drugs first".. when he had told me the drugs were not guaranteed and would most likely not work. I was worried for the safety of my 9 month old niece being ATTACKED after other members of my family were ALREADY attacked (including myself!). He was NOT compassionate and a COMPLETE IGNORANT ASSHOLE! I told him how rude he was being to me and all he had to say was "I am not rude, you just don't care about your pet!" what a JERK. Read Less

been going here for 13 years ... owner trained under my previous vet and referred me .. wonderful operation and staff!! They have looked after 5 dogs in total over the years for me. Everyone has always been more than helpful, understanding, incredibly in tune with the animals, and very very kind to them. Altho they only see me once or twice a year, Dr. Saini never fails to inquire about my elderly mother who is no longer up to the trip with me when the *kids* go. If any of the kids ever needed to stay for surgery, they always came home clean and happy!! Read Less
