Took our dog to get neutered, and informed them that he had cryptorchidism (one testicle didn’t drop) they went ahead and did the surgery, opened his abdomen (for an extra charge which we were fine wi...
Took our dog to get neutered, and informed them that he had cryptorchidism (one testicle didn’t drop) they went ahead and did the surgery, opened his abdomen (for an extra charge which we were fine with because they were going to remove it)($630 for this whole procedure) well they didn’t find the one testicle. So we had to go to an emergency vet to get an ultrasound ($840) and then go back to them to get neutered again and we had to pay $450! They shouldn’t have done the first surgery based on a ‘guess’ and went straight to the ultrasound and it would have saved me $600. Staff may be nice but I feel 100% scammed and ripped off!

I actually work at another vet clinic in Newmarket and comparing the two places in price Yorkwood is much more fairly priced (almost staff cost). Very helpful in understanding how to help your pet and are great at fitting in appointments.

I love this vet clinic! Made a switch a few years ago and have not regretted it! I would highly recommend Yorkwood! My pug was recently diagnosed with kidney failure and the staff has been caring and understanding during the whole process of getting him on the right track. They care about your animals needs. Yes, the services cost a little bit more, but ultimately I believe you get what you pay for! So thank you Yorkwood for all that you do!

The staff is 5 star for sure. They truly care about your pet which is the main thing. Pricing is sometimes high BUT it is sometimes really good. I’m assuming it depends on the operation. I have had to get a few second opinions on some expensive things but they provide options and a no pressure attitude so it’s definitely a good place to take your pet.

In a small town like Keswick, you expect small town service. That's exactly what you get with the folks at Yorkwood.
We've got three cats, and have gone out of our way to give Yorkwood our business. Their staff are some of the kindest and friendliest folks you'd ever want to deal with.
They never fail to follow up after a visit either. It really makes you feel like they care rather than others who take your money and the service ends there.

We have brought our pets to this clinic virtually since it opened. We found all the doctors and the staff to be very caring and always willing to go the extra mile. When our cat developed diabetes, they not only explained exactly how treatments and feeding needed to be handled, they spent time teaching us how to administer the insulin needles until we had mastered it. In addition, if I had any questions as things went along, any time I called, I got all the help I needed, including 'holding my hand' to help me through a rough spot. In the end, they actually made a house call to euthanize Lucky to save stressing her even more, and no one could have been more compassionate. After that, when we were ready to have another fur baby in our family, the choice was clear. He's been getting the same excellent care as Lucky for the last 8 years. Just this past week, while we were travelling, he had a bit of a problem. Called the office, explained his symptoms and was given advice on what to do. Followed that up with several emails back and forth to make sure I knew if and when I needed to stop trying to treat him and take him to a vet. As it turned out, following their advice, we were able to resolve his issues, and our baby is back to his happy, bouncy self. Thank you, don't know what we'd do without you!!

Avoid this clinic at all costs!! Extremely overpriced!! Quoted DOUBLE the amount of any other clinic for the same procedure--after soaking us DOUBLE the amount of money for X-rays (almost $700+ dollars for X-rays?!?!) glad we looked into it, do your homework BEFORE letting these con artists rob you. They are money hungry and don't care about your pet, just severely overcharging for services you can get at better clinics elsewhere.

Yorkwood veterinary Clinic is fine in terms of they do, very friendly staff, my only issue is the price. I feel like they offer over priced services and charges that are unnecessary. I suggest you look for alternative Veterinary Clinics within the area and compare prices, We saved over $600 going to a clinic near Toronto years back. Never again will I choose to go to the Yorkwood Clinic unless it is an emergency.

I love this vet clinic! Made a switch a few years ago and have not regretted it! I would highly recommend Yorkwood! My pug was recently diagnosed with kidney failure and the staff has been caring and understanding during the whole process of getting him on the right track. They care about your animals needs. We've got three cats, and have gone out of our way to give Yorkwood our business. Their staff are some of the kindest and friendliest folks you'd ever want to deal with.
