A partial review might come through, in error. We are new clients and there have been slight mix ups regarding previous care and meds, which I understand. Our youngest whippet was spayed there a week ago, and the physical, pre-op meds, surgical care, post-op meds and follow up care was incredible. We switched because our first whippet died twice on the table during her first cancer surgery, because they did not know a thing about the low heart rate, ssnsitivity to sedation. They brought her back, but we were so upset. Then our 3rd whippet suffered a horrible injury where a flap of skin was torn back. Our old vet had no idea how to put her back together and it was two months before she finally healed. Stitches ripped out, staples ripped out, necrosis and shock, and a long term home care recovery. So far, we are pleased. They know sight hounds and their issues, so we are confident our dogs will receive the best care there. Read Less

It's unfortunate that l leave a low star rating review for this kind group of professionals. My family are bringing our dog to a kennel and they require a couple of shots. My beautiful bride brought our pup to Chicopee Hills for those shots by appointment. I reviewed the bill afterwards and it was getting close to $200, for two vaccines? That seemed high and noticed the bill included a wellness check up and four vaccines. So I called the CHVH office to find out about the wellness check up and the extra vaccines; I was just wanting the two vaccines. The person answering the phone indicated that this week's check up was required by law that CHVH needed to follow. I never heard of this before. So I went to CHVH and asked further about the "law" and spoke further with the person I had spoken to on the phone. She explained that it wasn't a law but a requirement of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Assc. Ok, show me. That info isn't readily available, but maybe a Dr. could explain it better. A Dr came out promptly and explained that it was their hospital protocol and it was sufficiently explained to my wife before the treatment was offered. The Dr also explained that if this wasn't sufficient, I could look elsewhere for vet care. If I really wanted, the Dr could look up the reason why CHVH requires the wellness check up before vaccination. I was just looking for the two vaccines for my big fluff, but they only offered the one regime of wellness check up and up to four vaccines; if came again, it would be the same thing, at the same cost. Actually, they wanted to check his poop at an additional cost of $65. I went to speak with the staff to ask about the extras. Incredible veterinarian clinic!! My Yorkshire Terrier puppy, Roxy is taken care of by (primarily) Dr. Croft. All of the vets are so informative, friendly, and patient. They follow up with me a few days after her check ups to make sure all is well. Awesome clinic! Highly recommend taking your fur baby here :) Read Less
