I've been going here since 2009. My dog has had a lot of health problems, so we go frequently, which he loves! The last couple of years, I've mainly seen Dr. Gerald and Dr. Amber. They, as well as the vet techs, have been thorough, dedicated, and caring. I have never been rushed. The vets have been open to my questions/requests for different pain medications and approve of a home-cooked diet. MAH offers physiotherapy and laser (which I've done), a yearly wellness plan with monthly payments that includes a discount for visits, and lots of parking. They're always able to fit me in on the same day I call and are quick to email back. Read Less

I am thrilled to have found this  clinic! I've taken my last 3 dogs to the same vet in Ancaster, and was happy. But my dog hates travelling. So, on a friend's recommendation I tried this clinic. I was beyond happy with the experience! Even happier than I've been at my old vet! A special thank you to Dr. Reid  who gave my dog a very thorough exam, wasn't in a rush, and answered all of my questions! Switched to Mitchell Animal Hospital when my dog became sick these past couple of days. Both of the receptionist's I spoke to on the phone were excellent, and all of the staff extremely friendly upon our arrival. While I do like Dr Gerald he was not available to see my dog who was found through blood work to have kidney failure. He was end stage. The young female vet who was assigned him neglected to do a critical test which could have helped, days later he passed, in a very uncomfortable way. months later I got a puppy. I took her to Mitchell for spaying and was assigned the same vet. I was nervous, I waited at home for my phone call to pick her up. The phone call I received was to tell me my pup died on the operating table. Two dogs gone in three months. I was devastated. I wanted answers, this vet promised me a post mortum report which I never received. I still believe she made an error and it was not disclosed to me. Needless to say I have a new vet who recently neutered my new pup, success! Read Less

We are more than happy to have found Mitchell Animal Hospital for our cat. Dr. Gerald Gyorffy was just amazing with out cat (he handled our problem cat with ease and gave us some valuable tips (which he demonstrated) and what kind of companion to get him, what diet will suit him, etc) He spent over 30 minutes (probably more like 45 minutes) with us explaining different approaches, and answered all our questions in detail.
