My puppy had a bit of an emergency this morning and his (at the time) regular vet refused to bump any of their appointments to see him, and the soonest they could get me in was next Tuesday. Their best solution for me was to just ‘find another vet that can see him sooner’. When I first called Williamsburg Veterinary clinic, they didn’t have any availability, which I understood and I didn’t push it as my dog wasn’t even one of their patients. 2 minutes later my phone rang and ...it was the same receptionist, who ended up managing to arrange the time for my dog to come in within the hour. As an owner, I want to take my dog to a vet that genuinely cares and has the best interest of the dog at heart- regardless of a fully booked schedule. The staff here are absolutely excellent, from the front desk staff to the vets and techs themselves. The vet was incredibly thorough through the appointment with a quick and accurate diagnosis. They TRULY care about your dog, so we made the obvious decision to transfer all of our dogs records from our previous vet to here. See More Read Less

Brutal! Giving this place a 1 star review is too generous. After taking my 8 year old dog to this vet for issues with his leg (limping, hopping on 3 legs while holding his front limb up) we were told that he "tore a ligament".. Weird considering this "torn ligament" magically happened over night, but sure. After giving us prescription after prescription, not giving him a thorough exam (the vet barely touched him and yet somehow was able to diagnose a torn ligament), refusing x-rays (telling us they weren't necessary) we decided to try out a different vet, as something just felt completely ignored and missed. If this were the only issue with Williamsburg that would be one thing, however after getting him neutered here when he was a puppy he developed a nasty infection to which they admitted was their fault and gave us free antibiotics to fix the infection (which oozed out when he even tried to move his leg). Since trying another vet, my dog was immediately cared for properly and we booked him in for x-rays after a THOROUGH exam. Unfortunately for us, my dog passed away yesterday due to a form of blood cancer. Watching him lose all control of his bodily functions and lay there panting, and drooling was beyond devastating and although this is not completely the fault of Williamsburg my family and I certainly hold them accountable for their negligence in doing a proper exam on my poor pup. Only 8 years old and gone far too soon. Do some research before committing to this vet, there are certainly more qualified, dedicated vet hospitals out there.Read Less

The staff here are unbelievably the most kindest hearted animals lovers you'll ever meet. I cannot express this enough. We have 4 dogs within our family and had recently transferred from another vet a few years ago. It truly was the best decision we could have ever made. One of the dogs had to be put down about a month ago another passed unexpectedly yesterday and another had to have a small surgery last week at the age of 6. Throughout all of this happening in the past month the staff here has been nothing but helpful and sympathetic to all of our family needs. They always reassured us with every step, answered all questions, gave a shoulder to cry on and even when our whole family was still there saying goodbyes over an hour after closing did they not rush us in the slightest. Dogs are apart of the family and they truly treat them that way. THANK YOU ALL for what you have done for my sisters family and mine. We will be forever thankful. As I continue to bring my two dogs there I will always rest assure they are in wonderful hands.Read Less

I would just like to express my gratitude to Dr. Catherine and staff at WVH for taking such good care of our dogs. Sammy is a Cavalier puppy mill rescue who came to us with some serious health issues. He was considered a high-risk for surgery, and Dr. Catherine stepped up and did a surgery that even Guelph OVC didn't want to do, and we couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Thanks to her expert care, and the support of everyone, Sammy has another chance at a much better life! Our other 3 Cavaliers; Bella, Beau and Bear also send their sincere thanks :) Read Less

Thanks to her expert care, and the support of everyone, Sammy has another chance at a much better life! Our other 3 Cavaliers; Bella, Beau and Bear also send their sincere thanks :) Read Less
