I just want to give a big thank you to all the staff at Kawartha Animal Hospital. You have always taken care of my pets. When my Ebby Girl got really sick you helped me make her last few weeks comfortable. You sent me a card with condolences. It was hard for me to get past her passing but your card helped. I swore up and down that she was my last cat but then 3 years ago I walked into the humane society heart broken and just needed a friend and I found my now fur baby Momma Hope. Today was our dog Tucker's first day at this vets. We have just moved to town and I looked up different vets. Well this one stuck with me and I'm glad it it. The ladies today where just wonderful. I would like to thank Dr. Erin Bond for helping us today when our buddy Hank passed away. Dr. Bond came into the office on Sunday to help make final arrangements and take care of Hank. Kawartha Animal Hospital looked after our other 2 dogs and always treated us and our pets with dignity and respect. An excellent place to take your family pet. Most people read how animals react going to the vet's and our cat was just the opposite! We took our dog diesel there yesterday not knowing what was wrong with him. Diesel was recently seen by two different vets at another location on the weekend, and they were unable to find out what was wrong with him . Our family was desperate and scared not knowing what was wrong with him . We booked into Kawartha to see Dr. Bond. Dr. Bond was so thorough during the examination and was very compassionate . Dr Bond was able to get to the bottom of what was going on . Diesel had cancer all through his lungs . We sadly had to put him down as there was nothing we could do at this stage .Dr. Bond and her staff made this horrible news be a little easier with their support , compassionate for not only diesel but his family . Our family can't thank you enough Dr. Bond and team for everything you did for diesel and us . I will always be grateful. I recommend this wonderful place to everyone .Read Less

My daughter and I have found the staff at Kawartha Animal Hospital very friendly and pleasant to visit. They greet you with a smile like you are an old friend coming for a visit. Our 5 year old lab Cooper required surgery this week at the hospital. From the moment that she was taken into their care, she was treated royally. Rick and staff were attentive, communicated as soon as the surgery was done and even sent me a text from Cooper that made me smile after spending the morning worrying. You are seriously lucky if Kawartha Animal Hospital is in your backyard! I travel an hour and a half each way to bring my dog here!Dr. O'Neill - SUPERSTAR - He really is a shining star. He was the vet of all of my childhood pets, and all of my granny's pets. It was heartbreaking when he went into "semi-retirement" but so nice that he's still involved at the clinic.Dr. Grayston - I'M A HUGE FAN - She handles/manages my grumpy little chihuahua with expert professionalism and care. She's really above and beyond, she's a kind person with a good heart. Love her.Dr. Oliver - I'M NOT A FAN - I'll leave it at that. The prices are so reasonable. I live in the city, so I'm used to absurd vet bills, I couldn't believe the invoice when I brought my dog here. Routine vet care is probably about the same, but surgical procedures are worth the drive. My dog required a cryptorchid neuter and 10 tooth extractions. I was quoted:$4800+ in Cambridge (Hespeler Animal Hospital, yelp.ca/biz/hespeler-ani…)$3200 in Mississauga (Westbridge Veterinary Hospital, yelp.ca/biz/westbridge-v…) - actually not a bad price considering their location$1200 here (Kawartha Animal Hospital)Guess who won?
