I have been making use primarily of EVAH's TNR/ barn cat program for close to a year now and it has been an absolute blessing- in helping to control my community's stray and feral cat population. The staff and volunteers are extremely personable and empathetic (I, by no means, expect people to remember me, let alone know my name, and many of them do- enthusiastically greeting me when I arrive) and the pricing is extremely accessible/ accommodating. The best veterinarian experience yet. Very affordable. Very professional. No problems with my cats surgery, it ended up he had a descended testicle and surgery was a bit more complicated but they only charged me 11 more dollars. I was expecting it to be at least 100 dollars more but they were very caring and considerate and didn't cost a fortune. Read Less

My dog ate a dog toy and EVAH not only got him in right away but were absolutely amazing. They managed to treat him without the need for surgery and checked up on his well being over the course of the following week. They all really care about the animals health and well being. Read Less

EVAH is a wonderful clinic that provides much needed services in the community. Dr. Martha is an incredible and caring vet. I have an extremely nervous dog but when Dr. Martha saw him she gave him the time and space he needed. We weren't rushed and she won him over in no time. I will never recommend this place to anyone ever again. While they state they do not turn away unwell animals regardless of whether they are spayed or neutered this is a lie. They also state they only ask that you commit to castrating your dog when he is well and that if neutering your animal is not in their best interest they will not mandate that the procedure be done....again just more lies. You basically blindsided a homeless man into neutering his dog even though the dog would have no place warm or dry to recover!! Disgusting veterinarian practice if you ask me. Amazing people! Vet Martha is very friendly and knowledgeable. Cares about all the clients especially my little Cosmo. I took Cosmo there a year ago afraid that his head twitching, difficulties urinating, does not jump and not bending his elbows when he walks was a huge problem. The head twitching and walking is from what she assumes is that there is a disease that affects the cats development when it's in its mother. Which is what Cosmo has. But the urinary problem was because of crystals in his urine. I didn't even drop the urine off and she called me within minutes saying she would stay open a little longer because Cosmo needed to be treated right away! I was really happy that he got better and I took him in recently for a check up and she recognized him right away and instantly asked how his urinating is doing etc. She was also really patient and friendly with him even though he's so fiesty and does not like anyone there. I will warn that it is a low income place so they're really busy and appointment times may be a bit away but it's well worth it. I have been taking Cosmo, my other cat Eleum and in March my new puppy for years, and I would not go to any place nor trust anyone with my pets health other than EVAH. Read Less

This place is wonderful! Not sure if it's entirely run by volunteers, but they're great! Super friendly and helpful. They listen, they're considerate, and they're quick! They also call for appointment reminders and prescription pick-up. I feel happy bringing my cat here, knowing that he's getting proper, affordable care. An amazing place with incredibly caring people...a friend recommended EVAH for me to take my 17 year old Siamese to have her checked out after a very bad experience with another vet...even though they were very busy the veterinarian stayed after hours to see my fur baby and was very compassionate and I felt that she truly cared... sadly my Mika had developed hyperthyroidism and passed away the next day...she was my best friend and I miss her...I had her cremated and brought her home a couple of weeks ago...today in the mail I received a message of sympathy along with Mika's paw prints...so very bittersweet...I will cherish this gift forever...thank you so much for everything and I will definitely be making EVAH my first choice for future veterinary needsRead Less

I brought 14 barn cats in to be spayed and neutered here. What an incredible caring staff. I felt very welcomed. And I got help to fill out on the information, as the kittens and cats were not named. The girls named one of my beautiful Tabby kittens, Toby. I wished I had said yes to the young lady that was very interested in owning Toby. He is a cuddly kitty and loves to be held. I do worry about him as he is so gentle and passive to be a barn cats... There are coyotes out there. So far we are teaching the cats where they live. Only going out the front porch door in daytime. My daughter and I collect them at 4-5pm to stay in the porch for the night. Once weather is going to be warm enough for them to stay outside, they will be full fledged barn cats!! Took my cat there to be fixed. Drop off was at 9am and pick up is at 445pm. Appointments are preferred here. Very nice staff that is very patient in answering any questions you have and very understanding! They did a great job with my little guy and I would definitely go back for any further issues!
