Great place. Clean. Professional. Friendly. Efficient. Honest. Reasonable in price. We have been here twice now, once even on a Sunday for small surgery. They cost was more then fair. They let us stay with our dog during the procedure. Explained everything thoroughly before proceeding and performed the fast. All healed up and back again for another! In and out in quick again. The cost for routine vaccinations and checkup for my dog were very pricey. Cost aside I was trying to discuss diet issues for my pet and it seemed the veterinarian had one foot out the door and no time for any concerns. Then when I came home my dog hid in the basement for a while. Everything combined didn't leave me with good feeling. Read Less

After my previous vet with my kitties being a bad experience, I needed to find a new vet for my 3 month old puppy. After research, asking friends and family, and word of mouth we settled on Masonville. Let us tell ya, we are SO impressed. They made Winston Bishop SO comfortable and he had a great time. By far the best clinic in town!! My dog and I are always greeted by name with a smile every time I come to this clinic. My dog actually loves coming here, and starts getting excited as soon as we turn in the parking lot. They practice amazing medicine, and are doing really great "promos" to help clients out. My dog has had awful skin problems since a puppy, and I am always given multiple options to try to get him under control. I never feel pressured, and feel the vets are there to support me and give me all of the appropriate information and medications without trying to up sell themselves. I have tried previous clinics in London at a lower cost, and can definitely say you get what you pay for. Owning a pet is a financial responsibility, and the experience and knowledge these doctors have is worth every dime. If you haven't brought your fur babies here yet, you're missing out!!! Read Less

We had a really great experience here this evening after a rather concerning incident with one of our dogs. I called at 630pm after she had collapsed on a walk to inquire if i should bring her to emerg or ok to wait for a next day appoinment and they made arrangements for me to come before they closed for the evening. Our dog has only been in a handful of times in her 12 years but she was given urgent service. They asked appropriate questions, gave lots of advice, recommended treatment and tests along with advance notice of pricing for each procedure and offered to make specialist referrals if we wished further testing. Before leaving we were given clear instructions on how to handle a similar issue if it happened again and strict instructions on when to head immediately to emerg without delay. I bring all of my furbabies to VCA Masonville Animal Hospital. The staff, besides being knowledgeable, have always been supportive and caring. I am glad that we always get a full exam with every visit...they have noticed things that needed care even when it wasn't our specific reason for going to the vet in the first place. I was incredibly disappointed when this Animal Hospital was bought out by this corporation. When I brought my dog in after the transition, I immediately noticed significant price increases on products and also an "up-selling" of services. I never asked for an assessment for my dog for dental services, nor was it discussed in the appointment, but as I was leaving I was presented with an estimate for the cost of these services as well as encouraged to book them. My perception was that I could no longer trust that what the vets here were telling me was in the best interest of my dog. It felt like they just wanted my money and were being pushy about it. I just wanted to let everyone know how grateful I am to all the staff at Masonville Animal Hospital for their help in keeping my 14 year old golden retriever Lucy healthy - Every day at the dog park people can't believe her age and I owe it to the knowledgeable staff and vets who recommended the perfect food for her. During my visit the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We booked with Victoria (veterinarian tech) last minute with no problems and did not have to wait to be seen. Dr. Brousseau was very good and was able to give us a quick and accurate diagnosis in order to get our pup back into good health. Used to be really good but when Dr Kirby left things changed. All new people constantly and they got really expensive. They seem to be prescribing everything for questionable reasons. Every time I use this clinic the staff are friendly to me and my pets. The vets and techs are excellent! Recently I had to update my dog and cat license and I couldn't find all the information I needed, so I called my trusted clinic and they gave me everything over the phone, and were friendly in the process. I've always had great service there and so has my dog Lukkas...he loves going there !...I've had many vets care for him over the yrs and everyone of them has been exceptional...Dr Kirby (now retired), Melanie (sorry, I can't recall her surname), Dr. Wichtel, (Joselyn), and Dr Goldt, are who I recall offhand :) ....they've all been very friendly, professional, caring, and have always explained things well, answering any questions you may have...the staff at the front desk have always been welcoming, cheerful, and efficient...the atmosphere is great there...the vet techs have likewise been wonderful...they're at ease with the pets and show great concern ... This is the most unprofessional animal hospital. I tried calling the clinic to register my dog as a new patient and then I was planning on booking an appointment for his check up and vaccines. I called this clinic 4 times. I was hung up on 3 times in a row and the 4th time calling a voicemail was put in place saying "we will be closed at 2 for training and reopening at 3" so how come out of the 3 times I was hung up on your staff could not politely answer the phone explain they were closed and then ask me to call back? Who hangs up 3 times on a customer? What if I was a patient here and my animal was in distress? I guess the receptionist was too busy to care. I think Masonville needs a new receptionist or they will loose more clients. Read Less

My dog Sasha and I have been so extremely fortunate to have had Dr. Melanie Kenzie as Sasha's vet for a number of years, and we would specifically come in for appointments on the days she was there just so that we could see her. With a number of health issues over the years, we became "frequent flyers" and Dr. Kenzie and all of the incredible staff here always took the extra time to make sure Sasha was extremely well cared for. Recently I moved away from London, but Dr. Kenzie took the extra time to make sure she had absolutely everything she could need including pulling together all of her medical records, prescription refills, etc. I have so much respect for the amazing work that she does and we miss her greatly. Thank you....thank you and thank you! Could not ask for better care for my cat Jewel. Dr. Jocelyn Wichtel explain everything to me before Jewel's surgery answered any questions. Told me she would call me after and let me know and she did. She was kind and compassionate and she stuck to her word that she would call me. Stehanie Thompson the vet tech was so helpful and kind to explain and go over care once I got her home. Her gentle handling and soft voice to get her in carrier was sweet and caring. Dr. Emily Cho Incompetent to resolve issues of misunderstanding and miscommunication. All she cared about was, that we get charge the fees. To make things worse, she wasn't able to manage simple immunization needle. She poked my puppy twice unsuccessfully, before she said: "I have to take her back", where she got poked third time. We have been coming to this clinic for years, but never come across something like this. This is the first time I left very very upset! All other doctors and assistants are wonderful. Read Less

Upon arriving, the receptionist did not acknowledge that I was there and when I got her attention she was spiteful. I had an appointment and it took 57 minutes before I even got in to see the veterinarian. It took another HOUR to get out! I was not impressed with the employees because no one acted kindly. I even saw two employees babbling away to each other while ignoring another patient with her dog. My Mr. Fluffy bunny rabbit will NOT be making another appointment. I love Masonville Animal Hospital. I switched to them some years ago when I brought my dog in during an emergency.It was a Sunday and they took me in. Dr Kirby was kind and compassionate. He advised me that my dog was likely dying from kidney failure and that I should take him to emergency. We had to put him down but I was left with a lasting impression of Dr Kirby's kindness. I highly recommend Dr. Carol Hung. She is the Best !! My 9 year old Yorkie was diagnosed with diabetes in May. Dr. Hung taught me how to give Bella her insulin injections, and has been so supportive with all my worries and concerns. Im only giving a 2 because i liked how the vets treated my puppy and they were very thorough with me about what she needs done and let me make the decisions about what i wanted to do. But the reception is a different problem. I have booked 2 times over the phone for an appt and both time when i have shown up they say that I dont have an appt and then tell me i can wait and see if they can try to fit me in between appt but that i could be waiting a long time. No real apologies or anything about the inconvenience and no taking ownership of the issue. I got home and immediately made an appt with northdale animal hospital and the receptionist there sounded like she was competent enough to make and keep the appt. Read Less

Took my cat in because he had something wrong with him and was told they were booked and I would have to try somewhere else. How do I book for an emergency? Dr. Kenzie is fabulous and will always go above and beyond for her rabbit patients. I've never been conned into doing unnecessary procedures, and Dr. Kenzie always looks for the most affordable option when anything is required (blood work, for example). Thank you for taking care of my cat Loki. You guys are wonderful, knowledgeable and kind. The place is clean and doesn't smell like pee and poo. My cat Loki was scared and peed himself but the girl that took us in was very gracious and offer to wash his little blanket.
