Been going to Mount Joy for years and we've spent a few thousand dollars in vet fees there. We had a very sudden emergency with our dog and when we went there, we were told they don't do emergencies and were sent to an emergency clinic about 30 minutes away. They didn't offer to at least have a quick look at our dog or offer any help at all, just a slip of paper with the address of the emergency clinic. And they also mentioned to us they were closing in 45 minutes (WTF?) Obviously the well being of our dog meant absolutely nothing to them. I have read review elsewhere where it says Mount Joy Animal clinic is in it for $$$$. Actions speak louder than words, and Mount Joy Animal Clinic has shown me their true colors.

My geriatric poodle (13years old), has been a patient of Dr. Trann's for a number of years now. She recently became covered in large tumour like growths. Dr Trann and the staff were so caring and honest about everything. My favourite thing about this vet clinic is the fact they give you the owners every option and fee associated with care UPFRONT. So there's no surprise bill or fee and you can plan accordingly. They were worried about my dog handling the surgery due to her age and gave us a quote of the max the surgery could cost including these complications. My dog came out of the surgery better then anyone could've expected due to their loving care of her. She is healthy and strong and better then ever. The other great thing was the cost of it all was less then half the quoted price. These guys aren't about the money, they really care for the animals and want to give them the best care possible.

This clinic is superb. I think I have been bring all my pets to this clinic for over 20 years. Even though she moved, then I moved, I travel and make the time to see her for all my animal care needs. She has seen me through highs with new additions to my family and help me say good bye to long time companions. Her staff are exceptional and long term so that says a lot about a business when employees stick around. I have no problems referring this clinic if anyone asks me. Caring compassionate and wonderful. Thank you for everything and years of great service.

I have been bringing my Golden Retreiver To Dr. Trann for the last 10 years. I don’t have enough good to say about her, the clinic and the front desk staff.
Prices are reasonable but more importantly Dr. Trann is extremely knowledgeable and reasonable. She doesn’t push unnecessary tests, meds or use scare tactics. She’s extremely down to earth and truly loves dogs (especially her retrievers! ) Booking appointments are always flexible and I always know i’m getting the correct diagnosis and proper treatment for my fur baby.
Keep up the great work Dr.Trann and Mount Joy Animal Clinic and thank you for all you do!

They literally have 1 doctor. My dog had an emergency and needed to see the vet (we are registered with this clinic), and the clerk told me they LITERALLY HAD ONE DOCTOR WORKING. My god, what the hell...
They literally have 1 doctor. My dog had an emergency and needed to see the vet (we are registered with this clinic), and the clerk told me they LITERALLY HAD ONE DOCTOR WORKING. My god, what the hell kind of clinic has one doctor? Why the hell are you even running a clinic with one doctor? And then they proceed to tell me they can't see her until next week? Why am I registered with your clinic then? If you are so undependable that you have ONE doctor and it takes ONE week for you to see my dog who is registered with YOUR clinic then I will take my business somewhere else! Absolutely horrible place.

This vet was recommended to me by a friend when I was looking to switch. I am so incredibly happy with the service that my dog has received here! All of the staff from the receptionists to the vet techs are friendly and seem to truly care about my dog. I really liked Dr. Trann's no nonsense approach to my dog's issue. She recommended an option with the least amount of general anesthesia (my last vet was very pushy about doing multiple procedures, which we declined). The quote was extremely reasonable and the total price came in under the high end. Glad to report the procedure went well and there were no complications.

Thank you for the adorable Christmas card! Mia (our 7 month old grey and white kitty) received the best care at Mount Joy when she underwent her spay surgery a few weeks ago. Her stitches are almost gone and the redness has dissipated. As soon as she arrived home from surgery, she was very active, running all over the house ha ha I was actually worried that she'd be lethargic and uninterested in eating but she was the complete opposite! I appreciate you following up the next day, checking in on her. Love the friendliness and professionalism of the staff!

Dr. C. Yiu is an amazing lady. I took my 3 year old German Shepherd to the vet after she had continuous stomach problems and diarrhea for over 2 weeks. After going to another vet who ripped me off more than once I found Mount Joy Animal Clinic on Yelp. I figured I should return the favour for those in search for a decent vet thats not going to break the bank and still had quality service. So I am writing this quick review. Cost of the visit was originally $60 for just an exam but after i expressed how tight the budget was, and finding out I needed to do some basic test Dr. Yiu gave me a break. Unlike my other vet I felt that they cared more about my dog than just making money. Dr. Yiu was very helpful and explained everything clearly and the reasons she was doing the tests. She fully understood that $ was tight and only recommended the basic stuff first before doing the more expensive tests.My bill was $130 which included an examination, a stool test for parasites and medication to help with diarrhea. I have never ever walked out of a vet before without having to spend at least $150, so price wise this place is amazing, and they dont lack service and care either. This is a great place and I would highly recommend this vet to anyone.

I've brought my dogs here for the past 15 years. Well actually I guess my parents have, but I've continued the tradition with my current pup. The service here has been consistently good. They are very attentive and thorough and you can tell they really care about the animals. They don't try to up sell you anything, and they only suggest things that are necessary. I can't stress enough how good they are!Price wise they are extremely reasonable. When our old dog Snowball got sick, she was hospitalized at Mount Joy and I'm not going to lie, the bill was costly, but within reason. If you're looking for a vet in the area, I definitely recommend Mount Joy!!

Prices are reasonable but more importantly Dr. Trann is extremely knowledgeable and reasonable. She doesn’t push unnecessary tests, meds or use scare tactics. She’s extremely down to earth and truly loves dogs (especially her retrievers! ) Booking appointments are always flexible and I always know i’m getting the correct diagnosis and proper treatment for my fur baby.

Thank you for the adorable Christmas card! Mia (our 7 month old grey and white kitty) received the best care at Mount Joy when she underwent her spay surgery a few weeks ago. Her stitches are almost gone and the redness has dissipated. As soon as she arrived home from surgery, she was very active, running all over the house ha ha I was actually worried that she'd be lethargic and uninterested in eating but she was the complete opposite! She fully understood that $ was tight and only recommended the basic stuff first before doing the more expensive tests.My bill was $130 which included an examination, a stool test for parasites and medication to help with diarrhea. I have never ever walked out of a vet before without having to spend at least $150, so price wise this place is amazing, and they dont lack service and care either. This is a great place and I would highly recommend this vet to anyone.

I've brought my dogs here for the past 15 years. Well actually I guess my parents have, but I've continued the tradition with my current pup. The service here has been consistently good. They are very attentive and thorough and you can tell they really care about the animals. They don't try to up sell you anything, and they only suggest things that are necessary. I can't stress enough how good they are!Price wise they are extremely reasonable. When our old dog Snowball got sick, she was hospitalized at Mount Joy and I'm not going to lie, the bill was costly, but within reason. If you're looking for a vet in the area, I definitely recommend Mount Joy!!
