What makes BVH stand out is the confidence we feel in their care, and the results to back it up. Dr. Bagnell, Dr. Jongkind, Shelley and the BVH team have cared for each of our four dogs since our very first 25 years ago. Dr. Bagnell’s care, from general check-ups to complex health issues, is consistently excellent, ethical, and thoughtful. He is as steadying and compassionate with elder-care as he is steadying and wise with bouncing pups. The entire team is responsive, friendly, concerned for our well-being, and are always good-humoured. Having experienced care elsewhere for our new pup during BVH’s pandemic waitlist — and sensing things were mightily “off” — we couldn’t be happier, or our pup healthier, back at the incomparable BVH.

I've been very fortunate to have been working with animals practically my whole life. Rescuing all kinds of wildlife with my grandfather as a child, to carring on the tradition as an adult and volunteering as foster mom to racoons, birds, reptiles, and rodents. I worked as a professional with horses and now with dogs for almost 30 years. I've had much experience with many veterinarians and their staff over the years and I have never encountered the high quality and level of kindness as Dr. Bagnell and his wonderful crew! I had always approached any new clinic/hospital with a wary attitude as I've been through too many negatives that caused this mistrust. 12 years ago I breathed a huge sigh of relief when I found this amazing place! I finally felt that not only did I find highly knowledgeable veterinarians, but a genuine ally in the health and well being of my precious companions! From reception and technicians, to the vets themselves, everyone is so warm and welcoming, caring and respectful. I will always be truly grateful to Dr. Bagnell, Dr. Jongkind aka Dr. D and all the lovely people that work so hard and care so much! From the very beginning of playful puppy/kittenhood to the sad, final farewells, these are the people you want to share your pet's journey with!

I have seen staff come and go. He always seems to get the best people working for him. Everyone there is amazing. They are caring and take time out of their busy day to chat with you. Without a doubt, Dr Bagnell is one of THE most genuine and caring vets out there. I live about 40 minutes away from them but I refuse to take my golden retriever anywhere else.

I have seen staff come and go. He always seems to get the best people working for him. Everyone there is amazing. They are caring and take time out of their busy day to chat with you.
