My husband's and my 6 year old Jack Russell Terrier needed emergency eye care for her only remaining eye on the weekend when she was visiting my parents home in Niagara Falls. Our regular vet in Niagara referred us to an emergency hospital where they have an ophthalmologist in the Oakville/Mississauga region. We had our poor little Miu Miu stay at an emergency hospital in the Niagara Region for the weekend, because we were told that the specialist isn't available until the following Monday morning! So here comes Monday morning, the family rushes her into the emergency hospital that we were referred to. Her cataract and melting ulcer was explained to me and finally was told that shes not even responding to light; my JRT needed an enucleation. Unlike the fist clinic we were referred to, Clarkson's receptionists were friendly, everything was explained to me in detail, and I felt comfortable leaving my baby with them for treatment. And so, after explaining my situation over the phone to a kind lady named Jeeyeon, we have decided to transfer Miu Miu to Clarkson Village Animal Hospital. It was the best decision I have ever made! Jeeyeon introduced me to a vet, Dr. Dewit. My first impression: honest, straight-forward, doesn't beat around the bush. She actually cared. Dr. Dewit explained everything in greater detail than the previous hospital and gave me several options (Yes, options are available here). I was then introduced to the doctor who would be performing the surgery, Dr. Noorlander. I was informed when the surgery started and when it has ended. He himself called me to tell me how Miu Miu is doing. He did an excellent job and I was able to take to her home the next day, along with some antibiotics and pain killers. Even after the rechecks, the staff calls to see how she's doing. She's doing excellent of course. She walks, eats, sleeps (snores), growls and howls. People don't even realize that she's blind. My entire family would like to say thank you for treating Miu Miu so well. We will refer all pet owners we know to Clarkson Village Animal Hospital. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would do so in a heart beat. Read Less
