His staff are very friendly and welcoming and Celita who works with Dr. Sharma is a truly warm and welcoming person and is well knowledgable about pets. I would recommend Dr. Sharma to any pet owner.

We took our puppy Sophie to get spayed. They took really good care of her. I would definitely recommend going to this vet. Price is great, quick getting an appointment.

Apparently the reviews below are based on the original Vet who was there. I have found out that this place is under new management and a new Vet.
Took in my 12yr old cat for a physical - was reported to be visibly healthy condition, discussed blood testing agreed to come back in a couple weeks to get it done. However he pushed to have the rabies vaccine done to our cat, repeating that it was by law - which is true, however it is up to the VET to make the call based on age and condition. We agreed and 3 days later my cat in dead. I was never informed about the severe side-effects that may occur nor was I told that age should of been a consideration as the vaccine does a lot to a cats immune system. Secondly I have been told by other VETS who I have called and they said bloodwork is always done on older cats to avoid complications with receiving vaccine. We called the clinic the VET says oh it's an older cat could of been anything - despite our description of what I have found out to be a bad allergic reaction. I have not lost my best friend because this idiotic suggestion so he could make an extra 20 bucks. IF YOU VALUE YOUR PETS LIFE DO NOT GO TO THIS CLOWN. I will be reporting him to every outlet or board or SPCA I can. Do not go to this clinic, I hope I can save a few people from this disaster. I wish I could give this place ZERO stars.

Dr Sharma is extremely caring and was very helpful when our little puppy Ripley had a big bladder stone. We nearly lost her before coming to this clinic. The staff is knowledgable and kind. They allowed Ripley to stay the night because we were coming from Barrie. The surgery was performed flawlessly and at a price much lower than other vets. I highly recommend this clinic. They went over and beyond what was expected!

We bring our pets to any pet clinics because we want to maintain a healthy life for them to live as long as they can with you. Unfortunately, I'm saddened and quite angry to reveal that my sister's dog, Mickey, died upon the dental scaling procedure. We took Mickey and his sister, Lacey to this clinic for vaccinations just last month and the vet strongly harrassed/suggested dental scaling for the dogs. On his judgement without anyone's discretion and opinion, he chose to extract 12 teeth to which he told us 10, from Mickey when we discussed 6. Quite horrifically and recorded, I asked him "If Mickey had not come in, would he have lived into tomorrow?" He said yes. These are things you can't take back especially a life of a companion. Please reconsider taking your pet here as we will not be coming back with Lacey. Going to a smaller practice to save a few extra bucks or to pay a little more bucks at a bigger and known practice will sometimes save your furry friend's life!! We learned the hard way and we are still grieving.

MY DOG DIED IN THE HANDS OF THE STAFF HERE. I have been taking Mickey and his sister Lacey here for their entire lives. I decided to come here for Mickey's teeth cleaning because of the trust I had in this clinic and its reasonable prices. Before the procedure, he got multiple bloodwork and tests done, ensuring that he was 100% healthy.
I have had no problems here the last several years, Dr. Sharma is a caring vet whom my pets have loved... but I would not recommend this place to anyone looking to put their pet through surgery. Mickey's death was a traumatizing experience for my family and I.
On April 11th, 2018, Mickey, my best friend and companion died under Dr. Sharma's watch. He lost his life undergoing a simple procedure - cleaning his teeth. They extracted 12 of Mickey's teeth. Even if this was necessary, taking into consideration how small of a dog he is, it should NOT have been done. I had been researching canine dental procedures for months, searching for the right place to go. Many vets extract unnecessary teeth to make extra money, and this may have been the case here.
Following the procedure, Mickey's eyes were wide open, dead on the counter - they told me it was an accident... that they didn't see it coming. That they extracted "ten" of his teeth because it was COMPLETELY necessary. To verify how many teeth were extracted, I counted them and it was actually twelve. Their response to what had happened was “I honestly don’t know”.
Nonetheless, if you are looking to get your pet's teeth cleaned, please do your research! When you do find a clinic, discuss with the vet on setting a limit of how many teeth will be extracted. Understand the risks, and make sure you choose the right vet for your pet.

Top notch vet care in Mississauga.Dr Sharma is very professional, extremely knowledgable,welcoming and compassionate doctor. I feel like the vet here just takes your emotions about your pet for granted to get more money out of you. Almost every year we go it seems it's always under new management. The prices are ridiculous and the vet is hard to understand sometimes. However, most of the vet techs are very nice. They are normally really busy on Saturdays and are closed Sundays. When we took our dog here a week ago for his vaccinations, he came back acting weird for about a week after. This is very abnormal as a personality change due to the vet should only be for a day or two at most. The fact that it took him a week to get over it is a red flag for me and I probably won't take him back there. If you do come here, I recommend coming during the week, if possible and only for check ups and vaccinations at most. It would also be a good idea to get pet insurance as the prices are very high.

I absolutely LOVE the vet who's here. It's quite far for us, seeing that we live in Toronto but damn is it worth it! He may not be the most warm and friendly person, but he knows what he's talking about and respects not just the owners, but the animals themselves. We've taken our little grey and white cat, who's our pride and joy twice now. The first time we went, we got her teeth done and microchipped. She was there for about 8 hours and he took such amazing care of her. She has very bad anxiety and usually doesn't do well with people and he respects that. That whole visit came to around $200 which was cheaper than most places we called. We had an emergency a couple of weeks ago, our baby got into a fight with one of our other cats and her eye was cut. We panicked and we're certain her eye would have to be sewn or removed completely, but we took her back to him and he assured us it wasn't as bad as we thought. He said she just needed some eye drops, (which he went out of his way to get for us) and that she needed to come back after 10 days for a checkup. We got our cat home and noticed she was panicking and acting weird, so we thought she was having an allergic reaction to the medicine he gave her. We called them back and they told us not to worry and bring her back so they check on her. We got back in the car and drove all the way, and we were treated with such kindness. They're brought our kitty some snacks, water, and because she's not a fan of the vet, he had his receptionist do some of the work. Our baby calmed down and he gave us the all clear. He even checked his records and confirmed with us it wasn't an allergic reaction, as he's given our cat the same medicine before. We just took her back for the we check up and she's doing wonderful! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! IF YOU LOVE AND CHERISH YOUR PETS, PLEASE TAKE THEM HERE!!! They treat you and your animals with respect, kindness, and they're very patient! Thank you for such amazing service!

My dog is elderly, so Dr. Sher discussed the risks associated with anaesetic on her. Her teeth were in bad shape, but she was in pain
We brought the dogs in at 9 am and I picked her up at 4
She was bouncing around and even after having 3 teeth pulled looked great.
We friend and I were both pleased by the professionalism of all team members. I live in Burlington and it was worth the drive. Very economical and they are open 7 days a week, 8-8.

Dr Sher and Dr Sharma are both great doctors and you can tell they truly love animals! They gave us so much information about our cats illness and took good care of him at a very affordable price. We were devastated after almost spending 3 grand at another vet and they were charging much less for the same procedure and with amazing results. Our cat is peeing, eating and purring and is back to his normal self! They allowed us to visit any time and called to give us lots of updates. They are the most amazing vet and I will bring my two other cats here in the future!!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Sharma, Dr. Sher and the lovely, compassionate, competent, gentle and very patient assistants. This is truly the most AMAZING clinic!
Recently our bouncy, rambunctious puppy ingested a sock and we were beside ourselves with worry. Dr. Sharma helped ease our concern by ensuring us that he would be fine. He closely monitored our puppy over a six-day period checking for fever and other possible symptoms of distress. Furthermore, he took the time to check in with us every day via phone calls even after hours including a Sunday. Dr. Sharma was exceptional and demonstrated he genuinely cared and was concerned as if it were his own, and not only did he show concern for our puppy but also for our well being as we were distraught.
Both Dr. Sharma and Dr. Sher are extremely knowledgeable and were very honest in explaining the procedures and options available to us for our puppy. Thankfully we had a positive outcome the sock was removed successfully.
We thank you immensely for all that you do, for taking the time to listen, explain and answer all questions thoroughly never rushing us out, for the patience, care and love you show every time our puppy is at the clinic even if its just for nail trimming, which I know is difficult with our energetic puppy.
We highly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking skilled, very experienced, compassionate, dedicated and quality care veterinarians and assistants, not to mention the great prices!

I had a great experience working with new management of derry village animal clinic.I have been going to vet for many years and keeping pets all my life. Last month, i went there with my pet and doctor I saw was very professional, gentle and sympathetic.The doctor was very friendly and great with our dog. The doctor took time to answers all our questions as well as educate us on various health issues.The staff is excellent and prices are great and services are exceptional.I trust them wholeheartedly to take care of our pets.we will definitely keep visiting the clinic and i highly recommend them.

Apparently the reviews below are based on the original Vet who was there. I have found out that this place is under new management and a new Vet.
Took in my 12yr old cat for a physical - was reported to be visibly healthy condition, discussed blood testing agreed to come back in a couple weeks to get it done. However he pushed to have the rabies vaccine done to our cat, repeating that it was by law - which is true, however it is up to the VET to make the call based on age and condition. We agreed and 3 days later my cat in dead. I was never informed about the severe side-effects that may occur nor was I told that age should of been a consideration as the vaccine does a lot to a cats immune system. Secondly I have been told by other VETS who I have called and they said bloodwork is always done on older cats to avoid complications with receiving vaccine. We called the clinic the VET says oh it's an older cat could of been anything - despite our description of what I have found out to be a bad allergic reaction. I have not lost my best friend because this idiotic suggestion so he could make an extra 20 bucks. IF YOU VALUE YOUR PETS LIFE DO NOT GO TO THIS CLOWN. I will be reporting him to every outlet or board or SPCA I can. Do not go to this clinic, I hope I can save a few people from this disaster. I wish I could give this place ZERO stars.

Dr Sharma is extremely caring and was very helpful when our little puppy Ripley had a big bladder stone. We nearly lost her before coming to this clinic. The staff is knowledgable and kind. They allowed Ripley to stay the night because we were coming from Barrie. The surgery was performed flawlessly and at a price much lower than other vets. I highly recommend this clinic. They went over and beyond what was expected!

We bring our pets to any pet clinics because we want to maintain a healthy life for them to live as long as they can with you. Unfortunately, I'm saddened and quite angry to reveal that my sister's dog, Mickey, died upon the dental scaling procedure. We took Mickey and his sister, Lacey to this clinic for vaccinations just last month and the vet strongly harrassed/suggested dental scaling for the dogs. On his judgement without anyone's discretion and opinion, he chose to extract 12 teeth to which he told us 10, from Mickey when we discussed 6. Quite horrifically and recorded, I asked him "If Mickey had not come in, would he have lived into tomorrow?" He said yes. These are things you can't take back especially a life of a companion. Please reconsider taking your pet here as we will not be coming back with Lacey. Going to a smaller practice to save a few extra bucks or to pay a little more bucks at a bigger and known practice will sometimes save your furry friend's life!! We learned the hard way and we are still grieving.

MY DOG DIED IN THE HANDS OF THE STAFF HERE. I have been taking Mickey and his sister Lacey here for their entire lives. I decided to come here for Mickey's teeth cleaning because of the trust I had in this clinic and its reasonable prices. Before the procedure, he got multiple bloodwork and tests done, ensuring that he was 100% healthy.
I have had no problems here the last several years, Dr. Sharma is a caring vet whom my pets have loved... but I would not recommend this place to anyone looking to put their pet through surgery. Mickey's death was a traumatizing experience for my family and I.
On April 11th, 2018, Mickey, my best friend and companion died under Dr. Sharma's watch. He lost his life undergoing a simple procedure - cleaning his teeth. They extracted 12 of Mickey's teeth. Even if this was necessary, taking into consideration how small of a dog he is, it should NOT have been done. I had been researching canine dental procedures for months, searching for the right place to go. Many vets extract unnecessary teeth to make extra money, and this may have been the case here.
Following the procedure, Mickey's eyes were wide open, dead on the counter - they told me it was an accident... that they didn't see it coming. That they extracted "ten" of his teeth because it was COMPLETELY necessary. To verify how many teeth were extracted, I counted them and it was actually twelve. Their response to what had happened was “I honestly don’t know”.
Nonetheless, if you are looking to get your pet's teeth cleaned, please do your research! When you do find a clinic, discuss with the vet on setting a limit of how many teeth will be extracted. Understand the risks, and make sure you choose the right vet for your pet.

I feel like the vet here just takes your emotions about your pet for granted to get more money out of you. Almost every year we go it seems it's always under new management. The prices are ridiculous and the vet is hard to understand sometimes. However, most of the vet techs are very nice. They are normally really busy on Saturdays and are closed Sundays. When we took our dog here a week ago for his vaccinations, he came back acting weird for about a week after. This is very abnormal as a personality change due to the vet should only be for a day or two at most. The fact that it took him a week to get over it is a red flag for me and I probably won't take him back there. If you do come here, I recommend coming during the week, if possible and only for check ups and vaccinations at most. It would also be a good idea to get pet insurance as the prices are very high.

I absolutely LOVE the vet who's here. It's quite far for us, seeing that we live in Toronto but damn is it worth it! He may not be the most warm and friendly person, but he knows what he's talking about and respects not just the owners, but the animals themselves. We've taken our little grey and white cat, who's our pride and joy twice now. The first time we went, we got her teeth done and microchipped. She was there for about 8 hours and he took such amazing care of her. She has very bad anxiety and usually doesn't do well with people and he respects that. That whole visit came to around $200 which was cheaper than most places we called. We had an emergency a couple of weeks ago, our baby got into a fight with one of our other cats and her eye was cut. We panicked and we're certain her eye would have to be sewn or removed completely, but we took her back to him and he assured us it wasn't as bad as we thought. He said she just needed some eye drops, (which he went out of his way to get for us) and that she needed to come back after 10 days for a checkup. We got our cat home and noticed she was panicking and acting weird, so we thought she was having an allergic reaction to the medicine he gave her. We called them back and they told us not to worry and bring her back so they check on her. We got back in the car and drove all the way, and we were treated with such kindness. They're brought our kitty some snacks, water, and because she's not a fan of the vet, he had his receptionist do some of the work. Our baby calmed down and he gave us the all clear. He even checked his records and confirmed with us it wasn't an allergic reaction, as he's given our cat the same medicine before. We just took her back for the we check up and she's doing wonderful! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! IF YOU LOVE AND CHERISH YOUR PETS, PLEASE TAKE THEM HERE!!! They treat you and your animals with respect, kindness, and they're very patient! Thank you for such amazing service!

We brought the dogs in at 9 am and I picked her up at 4
She was bouncing around and even after having 3 teeth pulled looked great.
We friend and I were both pleased by the professionalism of all team members. I live in Burlington and it was worth the drive. Very economical and they are open 7 days a week, 8-8.

Dr Sher and Dr Sharma are both great doctors and you can tell they truly love animals! They gave us so much information about our cats illness and took good care of him at a very affordable price. We were devastated after almost spending 3 grand at another vet and they were charging much less for the same procedure and with amazing results. Our cat is peeing, eating and purring and is back to his normal self! They allowed us to visit any time and called to give us lots of updates. They are the most amazing vet and I will bring my two other cats here in the future!!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Sharma, Dr. Sher and the lovely, compassionate, competent, gentle and very patient assistants. This is truly the most AMAZING clinic!
Recently our bouncy, rambunctious puppy ingested a sock and we were beside ourselves with worry. Dr. Sharma helped ease our concern by ensuring us that he would be fine. He closely monitored our puppy over a six-day period checking for fever and other possible symptoms of distress. Furthermore, he took the time to check in with us every day via phone calls even after hours including a Sunday. Dr. Sharma was exceptional and demonstrated he genuinely cared and was concerned as if it were his own, and not only did he show concern for our puppy but also for our well being as we were distraught.
Both Dr. Sharma and Dr. Sher are extremely knowledgeable and were very honest in explaining the procedures and options available to us for our puppy. Thankfully we had a positive outcome the sock was removed successfully.
We thank you immensely for all that you do, for taking the time to listen, explain and answer all questions thoroughly never rushing us out, for the patience, care and love you show every time our puppy is at the clinic even if its just for nail trimming, which I know is difficult with our energetic puppy.
We highly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking skilled, very experienced, compassionate, dedicated and quality care veterinarians and assistants, not to mention the great prices!

I had a great experience working with new management of derry village animal clinic.I have been going to vet for many years and keeping pets all my life. Last month, i went there with my pet and doctor I saw was very professional, gentle and sympathetic.The doctor was very friendly and great with our dog. The doctor took time to answers all our questions as well as educate us on various health issues.The staff is excellent and prices are great and services are exceptional.I trust them wholeheartedly to take care of our pets.we will definitely keep visiting the clinic and i highly recommend them.
