Dr. Erik Sjonnesen Killed my cat. I will never be going back to this terrible vet. For the past year and a half my cat misty has been on insulin due to diabetes. To start he was put on canine insulin,...
Dr. Erik Sjonnesen Killed my cat. I will never be going back to this terrible vet. For the past year and a half my cat misty has been on insulin due to diabetes. To start he was put on canine insulin, his blood levels were only checked when he was put on it. When he upped the dosages to double the amount the way he came to check was simply us telling him misty starts watering from his mouth. No tests were done, he didn't check if it was too much or too little. From this misty developed jaundice and cancer in his liver. When we rushed misty to the animal hospital yesterday they said that he was too far gone to save and if we were to not be overdosing our cat with insulin he would still be alive for likely a few more years at least.
Misty's brother Mr.Cow was not eating and had Diarrhea, so we took him to the malton vet about a month ago. He prescribe him some medicine. While we were leaving we asked how much are we suppose to give him a day. The amount on the. Bottle said 2ccs, twice a day. The lady at the front desk laughed and said oops that's the wrong amount he would've went into a coma if you gave him that jokingly. The fact that they're joking about our pets life is such a disgrace to what they're doing. I would not Be surprised if the reason he's semi retired is because of the lawsuits he's recieving. He should be stripped of his practice and license. I ADVICE EVERYONE TO NOT GOTO THIS VET.

VERY VAGUE! my kitty was malnutritioned due to being infected from a viral diarrhea from the neglect of the previous owner. We found him on Kijiji the very next day we went to this veteranary. The doc...
VERY VAGUE! my kitty was malnutritioned due to being infected from a viral diarrhea from the neglect of the previous owner. We found him on Kijiji the very next day we went to this veteranary. The doctor seemed nice at a first but didnt even bother explaining what was the main cause of malnutrition. He didn't check the kittens internal temperature and he didn't prescribe any diarrhea medication. He simply changed the diet but it didn't suit the kitten's stomach and worsened the diarrhea. We called him the day after and dr simply told us to change the diet again to a 'regular diet' (but there are so many canned foods for cats so vague and stupid!) So we changed the diet but again he still kept on pooping 7-8 times a day! He later suggested a stool test which we did provide a sample for but results came too late. We provided all the love, attention, and care we possibly could I stayed at home the whole time with Leo. But with no solution to his diarrhea problem poor thing passed away on the fifth day with us. Largely due to dehydration from diarrhea. We rushed to the closest emergency verterany. But they couldn't save him he was confirmed with diarrhea in his dying moments and nothing could be done!! He passed away at only 11 weeks old :(( It is largely the ex owner's who is an utterly trashy b*itch her neglect and this stupid doctor's incompetence which is why we lost kitty (Leo). IM NEVER EVER GOING BACK! --

I own a Bengal and Savannah Cat who do not handle the vet well but with Dr. Erik Sjonnesen they have no problem.
Not only is the staff super nice but Dr. Sjonnesen is more than willing to go above and beyond for any of my cats. He's made house calls when the clinic is closed, and has never ever over charged me for any service.
I swear I'm only living in my area for this vet.

I dont think so. He had an arrogant tone and didnt care about my business. YOU ARE NOT WELCOME THERE MIGHT AS WELL SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE

My family and I have been taking our 6 pets to this vet for the past 15 years AT LEAST now. Dr. Erik Sjonnesen is extremely kind and all about the pets. Our oldest dog Jasmine get very jittery going...
My family and I have been taking our 6 pets to this vet for the past 15 years AT LEAST now. Dr. Erik Sjonnesen is extremely kind and all about the pets. Our oldest dog Jasmine get very jittery going to the vet/groomer/dentist, but seems to love going to this Vet. I truly love going to see Dr. Sjonnesen with our fur babies.
Not sure what one of the users is talking about with this vet being about money, because we were actually over charged in error, by a new assistant and Dr. Sjonnesen called us back to let us know that and issued a refund back to the credit card.

Not only is the staff super nice but Dr. Sjonnesen is more than willing to go above and beyond for any of my cats. He's made house calls when the clinic is closed, and has never ever over charged me for any service.
