Took my cat here for a check-up - they were horrible at the front desk. Doctor was terrible. But Tammy was the worst. Then had a follow up later because of a small liver issue - and Tammy was again terrible. Posted a negative review before - and she came onto my personal Facebook page and attacked me saying she would sue me etc. Do you want that hassle?And YELP - supposedly you flag businesses who challenge our free speech rights with lawsuits. I have been going to see Dr Ted for 10 years with my dogs. He has always been a great vet to see for all of my animals. I now have two cats Willow and Luna. Luna just got spayed today and I have received pictures of her recovery so it feels like I am there with her I will forever recommended dr Ted to everyone :) Read Less

My relationship with Dr Ted goes back to the late 1980's. Through the years he (and his staff) have provided us with the very best in health care for our 'furry' family members. The clinic has not only helped maintain the everyday health of our pets, but also been accessible to us in times of emergency. When our beloved 'Scooter' developed a cough over a ago, Dr Ted was there from the beginning with the assessment and cancer diagnosis. He phoned me within an hour of the x-ray being taken and reviewed by the specialist. He gave all the possible options and offered his support in how we should proceed. His staff called several times to see how we were doing and make arrangements for his medications. Last March Scooter's fight came to an end and again the clinic provided the most comfortable and caring support for a very stressful time. My neighbour recommended Dr. Ted and I finally feel secure in the knowledge that my geriatric cat has the best care I can get for her. Dr. Ted explains things clearly, takes the time to listen, and gets results back in the shortest turn around time possible. The fact that he is available after hours was such a huge bonus, because I needed to ask him if my cat was in dire need of medical care at 1am! And the staff? Top notch! They are caring, respectful, and make my girl feel as calm as can be (in spite of the fact that she hates going to the clinic). My neighbour recommended Dr. Ted and I am really glad he did.  My dog is 7 years old now and Dr. Ted has cared for him for 6 of those 7 years.  Since then I happily referred other friends too including my Mother who travels from North York every visit.  Why? My family and I have been taking our various pets here for many years and have always been more than pleased with the level of care and expertise that Doctor Ted and his staff offer. I haven't been back personally for quite a while until just recently (ever since my beloved pug, Bobo, passed away a few years ago) but decided that it was finally time to bring our slightly overweight, middle-aged cat in for a check-up, considering she's never been for one!They're open on Saturday until 12:30 which is a big plus and I was able to get a 10:30 AM appointment without too much of an issue. The vet techs (Tim and Taylor) were both fantastic...they were not only super friendly but also quite knowledgeable and incredibly patient despite it being a very busy Saturday morning. They were happy to answer the many questions I had and deserve big time props for handling my poor, terrified kitty who doesn't travel well and did NOT want to be weighed!Doctor Ted was only a couple of minutes late in seeing me but really quite understandable given the fact that it was a (literal) zoo in there that day. He's always been great with our animals and has an obvious passion for what he does. Again, despite the fact that I'm sure he had quite a full slate that day, he was happy to answer all of my questions and go over everything in great detail. In regards to the one highly negative review on here, I really do think it comes down to a personality thing. Dr. Ted isn't one to mince words and is certainly to the point. He also has (in my mind) something of a quirky sense of humour, which can also be lost on certain people. I can see him unintentionally offending someone or rubbing them the wrong way but that's just how he is. Deal with it or don't.For me it's worth going out of the way and enduring the cat's tortured meows while in her carrier for a few minutes longer to see a vet that I trust. He didn't try to put her on crappy Science Diet cat food or anything else unnecessary and even though I'm still not sure if we're going to spend the insane amount of money that they want just to basically X-ray her teeth (some extraction MIGHT be required) at least he gave me the lowdown in a straightforward way. Dr. Ted has been looking after my family's pets for, goodness, almost 30 years! He and his staff are compassionate, thorough, professional and friendly. Whenever possible, they reduce the price of their services and--something I really like--Dr. Ted always takes the time to explain things in detail and provide reading materials about whatever issue my pet has been dealing with. They are incredibly sensitive when dealing with end of life care or euthanasia. I highly recommend this team! Read Less
