I have been going here for years with great experience until last week.
Last week I had to put Junior my cat down. Junior did not go to the vet however we are regulars at this place as we take the dog there. I called to find out how much it would cost to put the cat to sleep and he was is really bad condition. I was quoted on the phone 150.00 plus consultation fee (62.00). I thought not bad as i paid under 200.00 to put down my lab down 6 years ago and she was about 60 pounds. I proceeded to make my appointment. When I got there the rates were around 600.00 to 2200.00 depended on what I wanted. I have a copy I can show it. I confronted them on the quote I got on the phone they tried saying they never gave me a quote (why would I make this up) they apologized and offered me a discount and she crossed off the cost of the sedative. The cat was completely out of it could not walking not standing etc ... I couldn't understand why the cat needed the sedative. I was asked to pay my bill now or at the end I paid it before he was put down I figured I would be in no condition to deal with it after. When the vet came in I questioned the sedation and was advised that they did not need to administer it. I was advised that was my discount in front of my son ( there were 2 of us hearing about this discount). I got the invoice emailed to me and only later that night did I look at the charges. I emailed the clinic a couple of times with no response and actually had to call them to get them to read my email. I have been told one I was never given a price (so I lied) ... two they didn't offer a discount (so I guess I lied again).. so here is the thing had I NOT looked at the invoice had I NOT asked the vet about the sedation I was under the impression that was my discount. Now did someone not think I was going to look at the invoice and I was not going to ask if the sedation was given .... all they want to give me now is $25.00 towards another appointment. For REAL !!!!

My dog has gone to River Grove off and on for many years.. we had been living in the US where my dog had his regular vets, but would come to River Grove as needed when home visiting my parents, here in Mississauga. Earlier this year I moved back home for a while and my dog needed to get some dental work done. I had been a bad puppy parent by not having a regular oral care routine for my fur baby . I was really nervous about my dog having the dental cleaning because it required anesthesia so that they could thoroughly clean and examine his mouth. But the doctors and staff at River Grove were awesome!!! They took the time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. They were caring towards my dog, giving him lots of hugs and love on the day of his procedure. And as a bonus, the entire procedure was around $600 because they were offering a special on dental services. It's been about a month since the procedure and my dog is doing great. I'm so thankful of the care that he received from River Grove and I'm so thankful that this vet clinic is an option while we are staying here.

Our 12 yr old cat Oreo was diagnosed with diabetes in Dec 2017. We chose not to hospitalize him. Instead, Dr Mullock provided us guidance through consultations and messages. We took our Siberian Husky to get groomed for the summer here and the staff was amazing. Huskies have notoriously thick hair and a crazy side and our boy came home looking and smelling fantastic.
We also have a 15 year old jack russel with a litany of health problems and the clinic was very accommodating in terms of allowing us to have a payment plan (he’s needed a lot of surgery, medication and careful attention).
Dr.Banger was a godsend and the staff always treat us like family.

Extremely impressed by the ethicacy and compassion of this clinic. My dog has been sick with kidney cancer and since we’ve been to this clinic and followed their treatment plan along with their optimistic advice our pups is doing so much better!! I am really hoping we are able to save our baby girl. thank you Dr Padma , Dr Banger , Dalles and the rest of the team for the hard work and effort you guys put on a daily basis!
P.S River Grove was a second opinion doctor the first thought we should put our dog down considering the state she was in( she did pull through) and I am so I glad i didn’t, river grove was the best choice for us. I would always recommend a second opinion for people struggling with the decision to euthanize their pets.

Dr. Padma Mullick and Dr. Bangar are the most caring vets that I have ever met. They are fabulous Drs and want what is best for our pets. Dr. Banger is also an excellent dental surgeon who performed dental surgery on my dog and removed 7 teeth and gave him a good cleaning. He is like a puppy again and had no complications and recovered very quick. (Also very reasonable prices for dental work). Most recently my cat got very ill, I thought it was hair balls but Dr Padma did X-rays and blood work and uncovered that he had severe pneumonia. He is currently being treated for this and they follow up frequently to see how he is doing. She even taught me how to check his temperature in his rectum and it really is quite easy. She definitely saved his life. They have always fit me in, as well, when We have had emergencies with our pets. I recommend them 200% and drive from Burlington to mississauga just to come to this clinic. I also know of a time when Dr. Padma was so worried about a sick cat that she slept beside his cage overnight to keep an eye on him! The techs and staff are just as caring and wonderful with our pets. Hope this helps if anyone is looking for a new vet or looking to switch.

Brought my dog in last week to find out she is definitely pregnant! Our first meeting with Dr.Banger and he was amazing!!! My dog took to him very well. He was friendly,thorough and very considerate! I feel he was very honest with our check up and was not gouged financially. He was very accommodating and genuinely wanted to seek the best route financially for me and health wise for my dog. Can't wait to go back and show him the puppies after they are born! Grateful to have an honest vet!

I have been going there since 2014, because it's right behind my house. So it's more of convienence than anything. Ever since they changed owners it's been going downhill from there. I feel they try to take as much money they can from you. When you go in for 1 thing and your bill ends up being 2-3x more. All the groomers have left. I recently took two of my dogs there and one came back with TWO cuts. And all they wanted to do was compensate $20 and I paid $135 for both dogs. I didn't bring my dog there to get an open wound. And the groomer didn't even say anything. I noticed it myself! They are careless. Not only that, when I picked them up the same dog smelt like urine. So I smelt his paws and it seems like they had him sitting in a cage or crate that was not cleaned properly and had old pee just at the bottom. So disappointed. I feel they only care about the money they can get from the customers. I will not return to this vet and I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I’ve been going to this vet since 2014, but ever since they changed over owners everything has been going down hill. I feel every time I visit it is so rushed. And all they care about if making money from customers. My last visit was getting my two dogs groomed. And when I came to pick them up and they were handed over I noticed the cut and the groomer never said anything. All they did was compensate $20!!! I felt I shouldn’t have paid for them to cut my dog! Also he smelt like he has been sitting in piss. So the crate or cage they have him in is not cleaned properly! I WILL NOT RETURN OR RECOMMEND THIS VET TO ANYONE!!

Dr. Banger and vet tech Helen performed the spay surgery on my almost 6 month Chihuahua x Shitzhu puppy who only weighed 2.3 kg. I booked my free consultation with Dr. Banger 1-2 weeks prior to the date of the spay. He was very thorough and made sure I understood what was included in the surgery (price, pre-op, post-op). I cannot thank Dr. Banger and Helen enough for keeping Pepper safe throughout the entire day.
A few things to keep in mind:
1. The staff are so caring and you can really see that they love what they do
2. Very reasonable prices!

I have learned more about the health of my animals from them then my previous vet. I will continue to go to them as long as they continue they continue to show the love and compassion I have seen so far.

Rivergrove animal hospital was amazing. My cat was their first surgical operative patient. They treated us like family, let us come in and see how he felt, gave us updates without us having to call. Such a blessing to have them so close to us. My cat has even warmed up to them immensely, because of their warm and generous service. Would recommend to anyone in need of a vet that is considerate, helpful and thoughtful.

We took Riley (doggy) for surgery recently. The doctors and assistants took care of Riley carefully before and after the surgery. They answered all our questions before the surgery. The doctor called home few times to follow up on Riley's recovery. The clinic is well equipped, roomy and clean. Certainly, I recommend their services. Thank you.

My dog has gone to River Grove off and on for many years.. we had been living in the US where my dog had his regular vets, but would come to River Grove as needed when home visiting my parents, here in Mississauga. Earlier this year I moved back home for a while and my dog needed to get some dental work done. I had been a bad puppy parent by not having a regular oral care routine for my fur baby . I was really nervous about my dog having the dental cleaning because it required anesthesia so that they could thoroughly clean and examine his mouth. But the doctors and staff at River Grove were awesome!!! They took the time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. They were caring towards my dog, giving him lots of hugs and love on the day of his procedure. And as a bonus, the entire procedure was around $600 because they were offering a special on dental services. It's been about a month since the procedure and my dog is doing great. I'm so thankful of the care that he received from River Grove and I'm so thankful that this vet clinic is an option while we are staying here.

We took our Siberian Husky to get groomed for the summer here and the staff was amazing. Huskies have notoriously thick hair and a crazy side and our boy came home looking and smelling fantastic.
We also have a 15 year old jack russel with a litany of health problems and the clinic was very accommodating in terms of allowing us to have a payment plan (he’s needed a lot of surgery, medication and careful attention).
Dr.Banger was a godsend and the staff always treat us like family.

Extremely impressed by the ethicacy and compassion of this clinic. My dog has been sick with kidney cancer and since we’ve been to this clinic and followed their treatment plan along with their optimistic advice our pups is doing so much better!! I am really hoping we are able to save our baby girl. thank you Dr Padma , Dr Banger , Dalles and the rest of the team for the hard work and effort you guys put on a daily basis!
P.S River Grove was a second opinion doctor the first thought we should put our dog down considering the state she was in( she did pull through) and I am so I glad i didn’t, river grove was the best choice for us. I would always recommend a second opinion for people struggling with the decision to euthanize their pets.

Dr. Padma Mullick and Dr. Bangar are the most caring vets that I have ever met. They are fabulous Drs and want what is best for our pets. Dr. Banger is also an excellent dental surgeon who performed dental surgery on my dog and removed 7 teeth and gave him a good cleaning. He is like a puppy again and had no complications and recovered very quick. (Also very reasonable prices for dental work). Most recently my cat got very ill, I thought it was hair balls but Dr Padma did X-rays and blood work and uncovered that he had severe pneumonia. He is currently being treated for this and they follow up frequently to see how he is doing. She even taught me how to check his temperature in his rectum and it really is quite easy. She definitely saved his life. They have always fit me in, as well, when We have had emergencies with our pets. I recommend them 200% and drive from Burlington to mississauga just to come to this clinic. I also know of a time when Dr. Padma was so worried about a sick cat that she slept beside his cage overnight to keep an eye on him! The techs and staff are just as caring and wonderful with our pets. Hope this helps if anyone is looking for a new vet or looking to switch.

Brought my dog in last week to find out she is definitely pregnant! Our first meeting with Dr.Banger and he was amazing!!! My dog took to him very well. He was friendly,thorough and very considerate! I feel he was very honest with our check up and was not gouged financially. He was very accommodating and genuinely wanted to seek the best route financially for me and health wise for my dog. Can't wait to go back and show him the puppies after they are born! Grateful to have an honest vet!

I have been going there since 2014, because it's right behind my house. So it's more of convienence than anything. Ever since they changed owners it's been going downhill from there. I feel they try to take as much money they can from you. When you go in for 1 thing and your bill ends up being 2-3x more. All the groomers have left. I recently took two of my dogs there and one came back with TWO cuts. And all they wanted to do was compensate $20 and I paid $135 for both dogs. I didn't bring my dog there to get an open wound. And the groomer didn't even say anything. I noticed it myself! They are careless. Not only that, when I picked them up the same dog smelt like urine. So I smelt his paws and it seems like they had him sitting in a cage or crate that was not cleaned properly and had old pee just at the bottom. So disappointed. I feel they only care about the money they can get from the customers. I will not return to this vet and I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I’ve been going to this vet since 2014, but ever since they changed over owners everything has been going down hill. I feel every time I visit it is so rushed. And all they care about if making money from customers. My last visit was getting my two dogs groomed. And when I came to pick them up and they were handed over I noticed the cut and the groomer never said anything. All they did was compensate $20!!! I felt I shouldn’t have paid for them to cut my dog! Also he smelt like he has been sitting in piss. So the crate or cage they have him in is not cleaned properly! I WILL NOT RETURN OR RECOMMEND THIS VET TO ANYONE!!

Dr. Banger and vet tech Helen performed the spay surgery on my almost 6 month Chihuahua x Shitzhu puppy who only weighed 2.3 kg. I booked my free consultation with Dr. Banger 1-2 weeks prior to the date of the spay. He was very thorough and made sure I understood what was included in the surgery (price, pre-op, post-op). I cannot thank Dr. Banger and Helen enough for keeping Pepper safe throughout the entire day.
A few things to keep in mind:
1. The staff are so caring and you can really see that they love what they do
2. Very reasonable prices!

Everyone that I have seen there is really friendly and has been able to answer any questions I have. They seem to care more about the animals then anything. They are also open 7days a week. I have learned more about the health of my animals from them then my previous vet. I will continue to go to them as long as they continue they continue to show the love and compassion I have seen so far.

Rivergrove animal hospital was amazing. My cat was their first surgical operative patient. They treated us like family, let us come in and see how he felt, gave us updates without us having to call. Such a blessing to have them so close to us. My cat has even warmed up to them immensely, because of their warm and generous service.
