I was going here for quite a number of years with my dog Diva. There are only two doctors I’d recommend Dr Sinclair who was really awesome. Dr Jones was also good except for when my dog got sick and the day he called to tell me she had cancer asked if I’d set the appointment up the day I found out to put her down. Coming from someone who owns a cat didn’t have much in the lines of sympathy and could do with a reality check. One doctor named Dr. Mark Rowett. Totally misdiagnosed my dog didn’t even offer to do a biopsy and told me her mass cell tumour was nothing more then a cyst. They have quite high prices and that’s pretty much it as far as that goes. When I called about getting prices about a new puppy for puppy shots. I was given attitude by one of the ladies who picked up the phone and said their protocol was they couldn’t tell me how much anything was unless they saw my new puppy. Given the fact of the money that they charge and the amount that was dropped in my past dog going there. I would definitely not recommend this place. The in,y doctor there that was legit great was Dr Sinclair, Dr Jones was good but his bed side manners needs a check when it comes to people having to put down their dog. If anything I’d recommend doing Home Hospice and avoid the vets to put down your beloved pooch. Also No I would not recommend Greenbank Animal Hospital Read Less

This animal hospital was always available when our vet was not. Both veterinarians we saw for our dog were amazing and the whole staff was very supportive and caring when we had to put our lovely girl down. Made the experience as easy as it could be. Read Less

II have two very active, high drive, sport border collies. The care they receive is exceptional. Dr. Shibata is a most dedicated veterinarian. She has demonstrated her superior skills, knowledge and abilities with my many pet health issues over the past 5 years. Kristin Isnor charged us 82$ for less than fifteen minutes of her time. Our dog had severe digestion issues. She gave a medication that treated the symptoms and told us to come back again if the symptoms returned when the medication was completed, while also trying to sell me probiotics that she indicated might or might not help.  Back we went for a return visit at 63$, and Robert Kartes was confident our dog had giradia, and he also tried to sell me the probiotics that might or might not help. Tested for girardia, another dose of the same prescription, no giradia. The receptionist was irritated when I tried to clarify when to call to check in with the vet. A vet returned my call, leaving me a message to come back for more explorative testing. Overall, terrible experience with ridiculous fees and no improvement in our dog's situation. Read Less

We have been using this clinic for 17 years and the service has been top notch.My rottweiler recently had age related lumps removed and we opted for teeth cleaning at the same time. We have had to put two of our dogs down since living here, once in an emergency situation, and the staff have always been extremely empathetic. I really like Greenbank Animal Hospital. They have been our vet each time we live in Ottawa - even when we lived downtown, we would travel to Greenbank with our cat. Now that we once again live in the area, we have been taking our cat and dog here for regular check-ups for both. The vets are great: I tend to come in with a slew of questions each time and I am always given great advice, along with my options when it comes to what to buy/pay for and when. Both pets seem pretty happy when they visit the vet too, which is not a common experience! Read Less

It is obvious that the staff here cares about the animals that come in. They showed a lot of love, care, and interest in my cat, and the same has been said by acquaintances of mine who have brought their dogs in. My cat was neutered here and he recovered very quickly. One advisory I would offer is to be careful about what you actually sign on for in terms of treatment for your pet; they tend to offer many extra services that are not essential for your immediate purposes, and this could leave you with a higher-than anticipated-bill. Exam fees are market standard, which is totally reasonable, and I have never had to wait more than 24 hours for an appointment. Dr. Lucie Vander Byl is BY FAR the best veterinarian I have ever trusted my pets with. She remembered me and my cat after only one visit, calls to personally inform me of any updates or lab results and spends as much time is necessary to answer any questions I ever have. My cat is very nervous at the vet, but Dr. Lucie is amazing with him, I have never seen him so relaxed! I used to have to muzzle him whenever I took him in to the vet, but Dr. Lucie is very gentle and calm, she knows how to get the difficult parts of the exam over before he gets too anxious and stops whenever he is uncomfortable. This animal hospital is amazing. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. Our dog loves to come in and get his photo taken and see all the other dogs there. Last weekend he became sick and the doctors still made time to see him even though they were fully booked. Even made a call to me a few days later to check up on him and see how he was doing. I have been a client of the Green bank animal hospital for over 15 years! In that 15 + years I have always dealt with Dr Rowet by request! All of the vets are very informative and carry and capable ..... But doctor Rowet is absolutely incredible! He has only the animals best interest at heart and NEVER recommends medications or procedures unless absolutely necessary! He has cared for all my animals from day one on all five occasions was there to help but my family members to rest when needed! I recently lost my 13 yr rabbit to old age... Grateful He was able to pass comfortably at home in my arms! I was unable to see Dr Rowet but Shortly after dropping my bunny off at the hospital just before closing Dr Rowet took the time to call me and express his condolences for my loss! His day was over but he cared enough to make that last gesture on his time off! I will always be so grateful to him for the excellent care he gave my animals but also the time he took to to ensure I was aware of my options and did whatever necessary to make us all as comfortable as possible! As a first time dog owner, and knowing nothing...Greenbank Animal Hospital is the place to go! We had Dr. Lucie and she took her time to explain everything there was to know about what my pet needs and should have, to look after him. She put my mind at ease about a lot of things and she really took her time examining my dog. She gave a lot of helpful advice and made sure we left feeling confident. Took our family dog here for years and our beagle Robin was treated well. We had to put our beloved dog down almost two weeks ago and the veterinarian was the most unsympathetic person I had ever seen. It was a horrendous experience and will not be bringing our new pup to this place. Read Less
