Newcastle is a community in the Municipality of Clarington in Durham Region, Ontario, Canada. The Town of Newcastle was also the original name of what is now Clarington.
Newcastle is located about 80 km east of Toronto, and about 18 km east of Oshawa and Bowmanville on Highway 401. It is also the southern terminus of Highway 35 and Highway 115.
Newcastle was incorporated as a town in 1856.
It remained a small community until the 1990s, when new residential development began and the population quickly swelled. Newcastle had a jail in the late 1800s.

Never go there..I brought my dog because he could not pee..My husband just died after a long illness.I never even had money for rent..Cause I could not effort to pay 2500.00 dollar for them to fix him..They called me allot of names. and said i was a bad person..The dog was my husband's so broke my heart to have to put him down...I will never forgive for it..It was a women doctor!! Dont go there please!!

Our five year old, healthy and loving family dog was killed at your clinic on Friday. He was meant to go to a rescue to be rehomed due to a urinating issue with a new baby in the house (not my decision, many family members were upset by this and tried to get him a good home, ) but when the rescue called for health information on our dog your practice told them he was aggressive and therefore couldn't be rehomed. The decision was then made by two members of the family to have the dog euthanized immediately. I understand that is not your fault and the final decision wasn't yours, but simply because someone lied and mentioned he was aggressive at a previous appointment because they didn't want him, this led to his death and being labelled as something he was not. I would suggest in the future that you have evidence of aggressive behaviour before giving a dog such a serious, death sentence label. The family member who lied and made the decision deserves the blame, but I am digsuted that you would agree to kill a dog who showed no signs of aggression and was so young and healthy. Shame on you. Your clinic is meant to provide a duty of care to animals, and in this case you failed. I'll never recommend your clinic again. My heart is broken.

Very thorough and tactful place.
Separate rooms for different situations.
Excellent knowledge and patience with animals and humans.
I usually park on the street . I check in before taking pet in.

My dog Spencer had knee surgery here and everyone was just amazing. Dr. Green went over everything witj me in great detail and Spencer is recovering well.

I have been to Newcastle veterinary clinic a few times. They are always prepared to book an appointment if there is an emergency. The vets are very nice and very helpful.
My only complaint would be that a few of them do not have the best bedside manner. It was just upsetting when we had to put our dog down and they discussed all of the costs, I think that could have been done better. Otherwise the vet was great and sympathetic through the entire procedure.

I used NVC when I had an emergency with my dog because it was the closest vet. They squuezed us in and even stayed late to make sure my dog got the neccessary treatment and referral.

I used NVC when I had an emergency with my dog because it was the closest vet. They squuezed us in and even stayed late to make sure my dog got the neccessary treatment and referral.
Dr. Green followed up with us and even saw my dog again he next day. I was grateful for their care and decided to swith to this clinic.

The only reason I have taken my dog here is because it is close... After a recent experience I will not be taking her back. My dog is very friendly however, she does not like the vet (as most dogs don't) and I believe it is because of this vet clinic. They show no sympathy towards animals who are extremely anxious and instead try to force my dog instead of being gentle and continuing to tell me that she is "aggressive" when she is only a young dog and has never done anything to prove that except snapped once at the vet because the vet forcefully pushed her down on her side... Very displeased.

Our five year old, healthy and loving family dog was killed at your clinic on Friday. I have been to Newcastle veterinary clinic a few times. They are always prepared to book an appointment if there is an emergency. The vets are very nice and very helpful.
My only complaint would be that a few of them do not have the best bedside manner. It was just upsetting when we had to put our dog down and they discussed all of the costs, I think that could have been done better. Otherwise the vet was great and sympathetic through the entire procedure.

The only reason I have taken my dog here is because it is close... After a recent experience I will not be taking her back. My dog is very friendly however, she does not like the vet (as most dogs don't) and I believe it is because of this vet clinic.
