Being Senior citizens, my husband and I have had quite a few Vets over the years, but, in our opinion, Heartland Niagara Animal Hospital, is the best ever. Your pet will always feel loved and cared for and his/her treatment will always be topnotch. You and your pet will both be treated with utmost respect. Worst Vet Ever! These positive reviews must be from friends and family and must be shill reviews because the clinic overcharges for every thing. My experience there was terrible. I brought my dog in to get a skin lump checked out. The vet told me that she should take a biopsy of it. She scared me into thinking it was something bad, so I agreed. The charge was outrageous. But they led me to believe that it was because they had to send it away to a lab. Well, I waited and waited for the result and still got no phone call and it had been a week. I finally called myself and they said that it was benign. I asked why they didn't call and that I was very worried all this time, and why did it take me to call them? They claimed because it took a while to get back from the lab. Well, I went in to their clinic to get a copy of the report and guess what? They never sent it to a lab. They just looked at it under their microscope in the office and it said on the paper that there wasn't enough cells to determine what it was. Horrible horrible service!! So I said I wanted to talk to the vet, the reception desk woman rudely told me I would have to wait and it could take all day. I told them that is ridiculous and that when she is finished with the pet she is in the room with, that she should have the courtesy to come out to talk with me. Then when the vet came out, I talked to her and she took me to another room and told me that they could take another sample and send it to a lab but that I'd have to pay another $130+ dollars!!! I was so upset and I told her that it was unfair and then she said she would give me a discount on their price of taking the sample. I ALREADY PAID THEM THE FULL PRICE TO TAKE THE FIRST SAMPLE!!!!! Needless to say, I was very upset when I left and I had to take my dog to another vet, one that actually is good, and he checked out the lump and right away from what it looked like, he knew it was a benign lump, it was just a wart!!! No way would I ever recommend anyone to come to Heartland Niagara Animal Hospital. All they care about is money and overcharging, and their fake attitude is not care for your dog, it's just manipulation for you to accept their outrageous charges. They are like used car salesmen. They will act friendly, but you will not get a good product in the end. Horrible! Don't go! Read Less

We bring our dog, Ripley, to Heartland Niagara for all his vaccinations and medical examinations. The staff is wonderful. I have been taking my cats to Heartland since we moved to Niagara. Everyone in the office is a pleasure to deal with. I had an issue with my newest kitten on a Saturday afternoon, and even though they were closing soon, they made an effort to fit me in and take care of her. A few weeks ago our cat, Kieren became quite ill and we took him into Heartland. We discovered that he had Feline Leukemia Virus, his symptoms were sever and it was only a matter of time before we would loose him. The Veterinarians and all of their staff were very gentle with Kieren and understood that we had a difficult decision to make. They said, that when Kieren needed us most, we were a true friend. I'm new to the area, and have been fighting with fleas on my poor dog, who has never had them before. The staff here were very kind and explained all about the medication I received. They were also wonderful in explaining their pet plans that help with the medical costs of owning a pet. We have been attending Heartland for almost 2 years. Dr Nicole and her staff have been amazing. Our little 11 yr old pug, has needed some pretty special attention, due to nerve damage in his spine. A wonderful 1st visit for our new arrival Benny! Such a warm welcome from Bianca who made the experience for my girls (who were terrified and didn't know what to expect) a pleasant one. She was full of great information and tips for our new puppy! Dr. Nicole was so gentle and also gave us great tips and gave Benny his first nail trim after his exam, which by the way he is perfectly health.
