I just called Niagara Falls Animal Medical Centre to get help for my two-year old polydactyl female. She has a single nail on her left front paw that is deformed and grows extremely fast, curling around and piercing her paw. It causes her constant pain and suffering. I asked them about their fee to remove just this one deformed nail. She'd still have six nails on that paw. I was told that the vet who used to perform that surgery died last year and the current vets wouldn't perform it. What? Won't perform surgery to end the pain and suffering of my sweet, affectionate little girl? How can they market themselves as a compassionate vet when they have no compassion? "Our compassionate veterinary staff work hard to provide exceptional care to animals of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments." That's what their web site says. Too bad they can't deliver on that. If that lie wasn't on their site, I wouldn't have bothered to call them. I'll find a compassionate vet elsewhere. I can't stand to see my little girl suffer. I noticed blood yesterday and found out she's trying to chew the nail off herself.

I have been bringing all my many critters here for a couple of decades or more. They have treated my dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, and even a turtle. The vets are top-notch, and so compassionate and caring. I simply love Dr. Mergl. They have had the same receptionists all these years, and they are also very caring and compassionate. I had to bring my turtle there today to be euthanized after a bad injury. Heather was so compassionate.....I even heard her speaking in soothing tones to my turtle as I left in tears.........that really meant a lot to me because it is just tearing me up inside that I had to make this decision.

Love them! I've been bringing my pets here for almost 20 years. The vets and staff are all very kind and caring. They take as much time as needed to answer your questions and make sure you feel at ease. They truly care about the animals in thier care and it is evident by the way you and your fur babies are treated. They have the utmost compassion for you when it's time to make any difficult decisions and treat your pet with dignity. I would never take my pets anywhere else. Highly recommend.

The vets seem like they know what they are taking about and are professional, I wish I could say the same for one of the receptionists that work there. She has dark hair and is the most unprofessional, rude, ignorant receptionists I have ever dealt with. She was full of attitude and often makes you wait, ignoring you. She made a mistake with charges, called me back MULTIPLE times changing her story on what I should and should not pay for after a lengthy visit to an emergency clinic in the wee hours of the morning. Her coworker then had to call for clarification because she clearly didn't know what she was talking about. Then she called back refuting what the co worker initially said to me on the phone. When I finally went in to the clinic to get my reimbursement, she handled the whole situation so poorly and said I was walking out "next time just deal with me and we won't have this happen again" FOR REAL?! she was the one who caused the mistakes, confusion and unprofessionalism. This review would have been so much higher had it not be for her.

My dog is a dear aggressive bulldog and has a hard time letting someone in her personal space straight away. With her pushed in face she can get out of a muzzle easily, so she needs to feel comfortable in her surroundings or needs to be restrained by me. Her previous vet wouldn't have her in their practice without a muzzle, I didn't like their attitude, so decided to speak to Niagara Falls animal medical clinic and expressed my concerns, to which they were very accommodating and have worked very well with her by scheduling other appointments without other animals around the office when she gets in. They are patient with her and thorough. She hasn't eaten them which is even better. dr Mergl has been fabulous as has dr. Tatzel.

Dr. Davis is the best guinea pig vet around. It is easy to see her love for animals and she is so knowledgeable! Many vets I have run into say they see guinea pigs, but have no real love or knowledge base, that is not the case with Dr. Davis. She recently helped our very sick skinny pig in an emergency situation. If it had not been for her help, care and knowledge or piggy would have never made it. Please go try out Dr. Davis and see for yourself what an awesome vet she is!

Snobby place, avoid !Needed a cat flea treatment and were told our pet needs to be a patient of their clinic and we need the appointment. Other places we called did not require any of that.

I have been bringing all my many critters here for a couple of decades or more. They have treated my dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, and even a turtle. The vets are top-notch, and so compassionate and caring. I simply love Dr. Mergl. They have had the same receptionists all these years, and they are also very caring and compassionate. I had to bring my turtle there today to be euthanized after a bad injury. They take as much time as needed to answer your questions and make sure you feel at ease. My dog is a dear aggressive bulldog and has a hard time letting someone in her personal space straight away. With her pushed in face she can get out of a muzzle easily, so she needs to feel comfortable in her surroundings or needs to be restrained by me.
