Dr. Joe Paul became my vet by accident. Literally; because of an accident. My previous vet was in Saint Catharines, didn't open until 9 and didn't start seeing patients until 1pm. My cat had an accident one morning at 7:50am...I couldn't think of what to do (except for an emergency clinic). The accident was not life threatening but I wanted him looked at sooner rather than a minimum of 6 hours from then...I had noticed (walking by with my dog recently) that Niagara Veterinary Services opened at 8am, and they were very close to my house, so I called them. I was able to come in right away and my cat was taken care of, and I was so grateful. On another occasion a few months later, a different cat had a health issue and was dehydrated. It was already after office hours (they close at 6pm) and I emailed the vet, to ask if it were possible to get an appointment first thing in the morning. Dr. Joe Paul got the email and called me back and asked if I could bring the cat in now...it was hours after closing, but he did this for me and my cat anyway and she got the emergency hydration that she needed. How great is a vet that will do this for you? Read Less

Dr. Paul has been nothing but wonderful to my mom and I while our poor cat was so sick. Dr. Paul had an optimism for our boy that no other vet had. Under Dr. Paul's care our cat improved for a good month and a half before passing away. We lost him last night and even with this Dr. Paul and his office continue to be compassionate and are helping us. While we were definitely extenuating circumstances outside of the normal diagnostic practices due to a personal situation, Dr. Paul has been nothing but outstanding and accommodating. I highly recommend Dr. Paul to anyone in need a vet. He will be my first choice for all veterinary needs in the future. I truly trust him and his experience, and his wonderful staff. He goes out of his way to fight for the animals, and does an excellent job of helping their owners fight for them too. Read Less

I love Dr. Paul and his staff. He's very straight forward about what your pet needs and will explain the steps to their health as well as the consequences for not taking his recommendations. I agree with the other 5-star review about the staff. Ashley is a great vet tech and Denise always seems to be listening and caring about what I have to say. My family has been going to Dr. Paul since we got our first pet over 15 years ago. Since then he has treated two diabetic cats (seriously, two), an in-bred dog with various ailments, and two rescue cats. Read Less

She; who just finished an online course at a university for a VET TECH, went in trying to get an apprenticeship at this animal clinic to start her new career. She also said being paid didnt matter as she wanted to start a new career to better herself. THIS MAN had 1 insulted AND put her down AND disrespected her saying "this cant be legit, you must have got this at a TRUMP university, having an online course doesnt qualify you to do anything, never heard of such a thing" and HAD said that also disrespecting US being AMERICAN people.
