Rebecca and Dr Cheryl Burnett made the last year of Kaylo's life as comfortable as possible.Rebecca is so compassionate, caring  kind and professional! I was bringing my 14 year old calico named Kaylo for treatment of her kidney disease for about 1 year. Rebecca was the only staff member who could handle my saucy and stubborn cat with kindness, assertiveness and care. Kaylo hated going so much, but Rebecca knew exactly what to do!!!! I've read some of the other reviews on here and they are NO WAY similar to any of the experiences we've had, and we've been patients for 11 years. My cat is a jerk... Went for physical w dr chung and she suggested my dog gets vaccinated. when I was halfway out of the plaza after appointment, she calls to tell me she "forgot to vaccinate" her. ??!@#@@@ Then my dog suddenly developed fatal hemolytic anemia within weeks, needing to be hospitalized into icu. Im not blaming her but the whole entire Interaction w her wasnt pleasant and felt she was very scattered. Otherwise why would you "forget" to do something? Read Less

Dr. Tsang and the team at this clinic are truly amazing individuals with great knowledge who care about the animals they treat. We had a sick cat that we brought in to see Dr. Tsang. She was clinical, knowledgeable, and extremely caring in her approach. Dr. Tsang and the entire staff there treated our cat (who is a member of our family) as a member of their own family, and our cat received very good treatment while there. Dr. Cheryl Burnett is amazing. My cat loves her too and easily cooperates with her. My cat is generally not cooperative even with me so it's nice to see the vet visit isn't too much a struggle. During our time with this clinic, the healthiest we've ever seen our kitten was before we brought her here. After "treating" our kitten to critical condition for about a week, they admitted that they did not have a plan for her treatment. They claimed that they are "just a humble hospital" and did not have the equipment to treat our cat. They charged us for 24 hour hospitalization, which really meant that one of their nurses took our cat home with them at night (how is this even allowed?). They told us they would provide us updates during her "hospitalization", which they did not. Unprofessional, to say the least. It was not until we called to inquire about her status that we learned that they still had not treated her because they were too "busy." Why did we pay you for this so-called "hospitalization" then? It's important to know the limits to your capabilities; if you can't treat an animal at your clinic then refer us to someone who can. Read Less

They really take care of your animals here and are very helpful. I usually get my cats nails trimmed here for under $20 and they are fast and careful. They do follow up with you about your animals and seem to really care which is great. Read Less

Today, I took my cat for her annual checkup, and for the first time I had Dr. Chung take care of the cat. First; Dr. Chung failed to take blood from the cat as she could not find the jugular, Second: She did not know how to use a syringe, because she pierced the cat to the point that the end of the needle came out the other side of her leg, thus spilling the vaccine on the table. She tried this twice and failed twice. My cat is currently in pain and I hope it does not die from the mistreatment. I don't know how people like Dr. Chung obtain their degrees. Third: I requested to have the cat's claws clipped and when I came home, half the claws were not clipped. Apparently she is Internationally trained...her actions and lack of experience are alarming stay away. Read Less

Rushed and impersonal experience . First, waited for over 1hr even though I had a prebooked appointment. Brought my cat - explained to the doctor how not to stress the cat - didn't listen, brings in another handler which further stressed the animal - just wants to go by the book and treat every cat "one size fits all" - not interested in listening to the clients concern. No compassion, just opinionated . Maybe with one of the other doctors (they have 3) you will have a different experience- but I for one will not be returning. I've been bringing my previous cat to this clinic for 12 years, when she was still a kitten to the her very last moment.  I bring my current cat to another vet, and I found out that I've been overcharged by them during that 12 years time.First of all, they always over book their appointments, so the waiting area is always jam packed with owners and their dogs and cats together.  My previous cat needs to do blood work in her annual check-up, even she is very healthy...  I thought it's normal to do blood work for cat's annual check up, until my current vet told me that this is not unnecessary unless they suspect something not right...I agree that the doctors in this vet did spend enough time on their every patient...  But is it necessary to give sedation to my cat for her blood work?  And of course, I've to pay for the sedation fee. I'm very happy that I DID NOT bring my current cat back to this vet. Read Less

I have been bringing my dog Honey to this clinic for close to 16 years-yes she is that old! She is now deaf, and unsteady on her feet due to a stroke. The veterinarians at Bayview Mall Clinic have seen Honey through thick and thin, providing excellent, reasonable, practical care and advice every step of the way. They are always very accomodating regarding appointment times and emergencies. I miss Dr. Van but he certainly chose a wonderful replacement to run his clinic. Dr. Tsang is excellent as are her associate staff. Even the receptionists are pleasant, obliging and considerate. I highly recommend this clinic. Read Less

July 7, 2016...we checked in Gus, our lovely and very happy pet for boarding but he passed away in this clinic. We were so frustrated and what made it even worst, was knowing that he died while away from home, made us so devastated. We were very disappointed and heartbroken. We are missing him a lot! This clinic was excellent for 10+ years. The old doctor has passed away recently, and the new replacement doctor only cares about taking more money from pet-owners. Just a few examples: The new doctor tried aggressively to sell us anti-flea medication. However, when we pressed, the doctor had admitted that our cat did not have any fleas. Then the doctor tried to sell us some blood works and antibiotics. However, after my wife pushed back (my wife is a dentist), the doctor has admitted that maybe our cat had ingested some unhealthy food, and the problem may disappear by itself in 2 weeks. Used to pay $70 per cat, now she charges $100+ Unfortunately, we will not be back. Too bad though - it used to be a good veterinary clinic. Read Less

Had as positive of an experience as one can hope to have when euthanizing an animal. Dr. Tsang and staff, including nurse and lady at the front desk, were kind, compassionate, informative and professional.This was my first time at the clinic. I am picky about who I bring my animals to and normally take some time doing a fair amount of research first, but the sudden deterioration of my animal's condition required that I find the closest and fastest option to relieve her suffering. We were very lucky to have chosen this clinic. I would have brought my animal companion here sooner had I known the quality of care she would have received. Read Less

They are excellent.  I have been using this veterinary office for over 15 years, including for over two years when I was managing palliative care for a cat with a serious cardiovascular condition.  They do NOT overcharge or recommend unnecessary tests.  They DO take the time to get to know the animals and owners.  They understand that most people consider their pets to be family and provide recommendations for tests that will help them make a proper diagnosis and treatment plan to maximize the pet's health and well-being.  In the time I've known them, the clinic always has at least 1-2 "clinic cats" they've taken on whose owners had brought them in and requested euthanasia rather than pay for the necessary veterinary care.  Heartbreaking.  They all genuinely love animals and do their difficult jobs with compassion.I trust the staff at Bayview Mall Veterinary Clinic implicitly and know that they always have my pet's best interests at heart.  I board my cat when I travel because I know he will receive excellent care and I won't need to be worried. Not too professional with their examination procedures.  Was asked to do blood and urine tests prior to other necessary tests. Seem to be milking for more tests (profit) prior to doing the obvious required tests that can diagnose the issue faster.Everytime we went, they asked us to do a lot of tests that seem irrelevant.
