The vets at the Animal Hospital of Oakville all pros. They and their staff have lovingly cared for our sweet cat Molly for the past 14 years. Recently when Molly became critically ill they all tried their best to keep her with us a little bit longer. Sadly it was not to be and we had to let her go. Very pleased to say we travel an hour to see Dr Best. We have been to other vets that can’t even complete the care or surgeries she can. Animal Hospital of Oakville has saved our English Bulldog's life on multiple occasions. They provided him with first class care and helped us in a pinch. Just met the most ignorant person at reception. I was just looking to buy canned dog food which I have done at this location twice previously. I couldn't remember the brand which apparently is a no no here. She was condescending, obstructive and belittling. The previous employees I dealt with seem to have no issues grabbing a half dozen cans of dietary food for me. Sad this one person has ruined my experience. I will never return.Read Less

My first time visiting the vet for my cat and I had a really great experience. I went in during their walk-in times on Saturday. My cat has allergies, and the vet really took the time to go through all the options and come up with the best plan of care for her. She also understood that I have a really tight budget, and didn't pressure me into anything extra. It was very reasonably priced considering I bought hypoallergenic cat food, a checkup and medication. The place has extremely friendly staff who are clearly very passionate about animals. It is decorated nicely, and the waiting room is very comfortable for you and your pet. This will now be my regular vet! Read Less

Our family has been to a few vets over the years. We switched to the animal hospital of Oakville about 6 years ago when we adopted a new cat and our old vet left Bucksburn and we were no longer happy with the service. Firstly the location of this place is great and right off the QEW. It's a medium sized office and isn't overly busy or crowded like some other places. The front staff are good, not overly friendly but they pass messages onto the veterinarians and accommodate whatever requests you may have.As for the vets, we have seen a few which were all great, but we have been seeing Dr. Lisa Haines for the majority of the time and she is absolutely wonderful. She is so genuine and caring and you can see the passion she has for these animals. When examining our cat, she is so gentle and constantly refers to her as "sweetie" and "pretty girl" and uses the compassion that some vets lack. As our cat has been aging, she has required more attention and check ups and Dr. Haines goes above and beyond what is required. She looks into issues she's not sure of, constantly returns any calls, and sees us without appointments to give us advice or to deal with any concerns. She never forces any procedures on us and is honest and up front about the different options available to us and how they vary in cost. Overall, this clinic is probably the best in Halton and Dr. Haines is hands down one of the most lovely veterinarians you could hope to have for your pet. Of all the years we have been going here, we have never felt like we were being scammed out of money for something that wasn't necessary or being overcharged.
