Dr. Goldie Rosen is a veterinarian and the founder of Halton Veterinary House Call Services: a mobile practice providing humane pet euthanasia for dogs, cats, and rabbits. Dr. Rosen is often available within a few hours notice to help her clients during stressful and emotional situations. Whether it is an emergency call or prearranged home pet euthanasia, Dr. Rosen's combination of professionalism, empathy, and reassuring bedside manner offers you and your family's best friend peace of mind. Her full service includes aftercare options whether it be communal or private cremation and she is always happy to make a paw print for you at no charge. Dr. Rosen will also help you out if your pet passes away naturally at home.

Veterinarian
Dr. Goldie Rosen graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1998 and worked as a veterinarian in a variety of companion animal hospitals in Southern Ontario. In 2004, Dr. Rosen was the founder of Halton Veterinary House Call Services: a mobile practice providing expert care for the full life cycle of cats, dogs, and rabbits from prenatal stages until the end of life. This practice, accredited by the College of Veterinarians of Ontario, offered the local community essential mobile veterinary services.
In 2016, Dr. Rosen began exclusively doing home pet euthanasia services. After experiencing the need to in many emergency situations, it became clear to her that a professional was not only needed to perform the humane elective euthanasia but to offer guidance and support through the entire process. Whether it is an emergency call or prearranged home pet euthanasia, Dr. Rosen strives to be a beacon of light in times of need.

Sadly we had to make the difficult decision of putting our furbaby to sleep. We reached out to Dr Goldie, and after reading the outstanding reviews, decided the option of having her put down at home was the most comfortable for us. Dr Goldie was very professional, empathetic and straight forward as she walked us through each step of the process. Dr Goldie helped us put our sweet dog to rest, surrounded by her loved ones and without pain. The veterinary industry needs more kind caring souls like Dr Goldie to help our animals pass peacefully and allow families to grieve properly alongside their loved ones. Pets give us all 100 % unconditional love, so it only seems fitting they are put to rest in the comfort of their own home surrounded by their loved ones. Thank you Goldie for helping us through this difficult time and giving Tia the loving send off she deserved. We would highly recommend Dr Goldie to anyone who loves their pets as much as we do.

That day was one of the worst days of my life having to put down my boy down. he’s been with us 12.5 years but Dr Goldie made this experience so much easier for us. She is a Godsend she helped make our boys passing peaceful and she is very kind and compassionate, I absolutely recommend her. Getting the chance to let my boy go here at our home so much easier for us and I can’t thank her enough for making the trip to Stoney Creek to help us out .

We are very grateful to Dr. Goldie for her calmness, compassion, and expertise during such a devastating time. She was very respectful and gave us the time and space needed to say our good-byes to our precious cat BB. She thoroughly explained each step to us, which helped during this difficult process. Dr. Goldie Rosen made the most difficult time in my life a much easier one. From the get go after finding her, she was extremely quick at responding to my email late evening on a Sunday. On the day we had to say goodbye to our baby Lucky, she arrived on the dot and explained in detail what to expect and what will happen. It made our family feel at ease during the entire process and seeing Lucky finally at peace surrounded by all of our family is a gift we will always be grateful for. It was a difficult decision to have our 13 year old chocolate lab Remmy euthanized do to medical conditions. He was part of our family and loved by everyone whom he crossed paths with. He will missed but not forgotten. He gave us such joy and unconditional love. We were referred to Dr Goldie by a friend. Dr Goldie was professional,understanding,calm and made the whole experience less stressful for us as well as Remmy. I would definitely recommend home euthanasia and Dr Goldie.
Our hearts are broken but we have so many great memories of our family dog.

Dr. Goldie came to our home to euthanize our beloved cat. Instead of making the last hours of her life terribly traumatic by putting her in a cage and transporting her in the car (two things she hated so much) she got to leave this world from the comfort of her own home. Dr. Goldie came quickly and Rose had a calm and pain free passing. Dr. Goldie also has a way of helping you through the process. She explains each step before it happens and she is so careful to ensure the pet is comfortable. We would highly recommend Dr. Goldie and should we ever find ourselves in this position again we will certainly contact her.

Dr. Goldie provided the most professional, compassionate care during our sweet Roxy's in-home euthanasia. Dr. Goldie read the situation perfectly and provided much-needed human reassurance and care as well. She was available within hours notice (ours was not an emergency case) and I could not be more grateful. The ability to say goodbye to our loving pet in her own home was of such comfort to us all, and not having to wait long hours or days was invaluable. I truly cannot fathom anyone giving less than 5 stars or a glowing review for this service, and the glowing reviews here are testament to the incredible compassion and professionalism of Dr. Rosen.

My Vet recommended Dr. Goldie when I asked about in home euthanasia. She spoke with me when our Lab was first diagnosed with Lymphoma and I knew the we had made the right decision by the questions she asked, the information she shared and the way she cared about his quality of life at that point . When the time came ten days later, Dr. Goldie arrived within the hour in a snowstorm. She was professional yet sweet with our boy letting him pass away in the comfort of his own bed and our loving arms. She allowed us all the time we needed with him and fully explained every step of the procedure.
We would highly recommend her services.

It was truly an amazing experience. We called Dr. Goldie because our 17 yr old Marcy was going downhill quickly and we wanted her to die at home where she was most comfortable. Visiting the vet always stressed her and so this wasn't an option. Dr. Goldie saw that Marcy was having difficulty and sedated her right away. Last weekend we made the incredibly difficult decision to put our cat Maxine down. She was 17, and certainly had been struggling for awhile. Dr Goldie was incredible and spoke to me over the phone a few times to describe what the process would be like. I had an immediate comfort and confidence level in her, and had never met her before. On The morning of the appointment, she was warm, compassionate and professional. She patted Maxine, sat on the kitchen floor with me and even opened the fridge door... Maxine had recently become fascinated with the fridge. I held my little girl, head in my hand and she passed peacefully. Such a heartbreaking thing to do, but have so much respect and admiration for Dr. Goldie. I would recommend her services 100 percent.

Last week I made the though decision to put my poor cat Milo at rest. He was at a state that it would have been near impossible for me to get him out to a vet. I searched and found Dr. Goldie and she came that very night to my home. I have to say that she was very professional and personable. It was a difficult time for me and she kept me at ease and kept me informed through the whole process of euthanasia. She assured me that I was making the right decision which really did help at the time. I would highly recommend Dr. Goldie to anyone that has to make that tough decision to lay their family pet to rest.

Recently our family had to say goodbye to our Old English sheepdog, Shakespeare. We are so thankful for Dr. Goldie for being so kind during such a sad time for our family. She talked us through every step which brought us comfort by knowing exactly what was going to happen. Having her come to the house alleviated stress for us and our pup. When it was time for us to put our little dog down, we wanted to have it done at home. I found Halton Veterinary online and called Dr. Goldie. She was pleasant and caring - and promised to be there later in the day. She arrived and instantly we felt relieved, she was empathetic, quick and very professional. She knows her stuff and adjusts her medications according to your needs. Our little guy peacefully left this world.
Thank you Dr. Goldie - for making this very difficult experience the best that it could be.........I would highly recommend you and your services to anyone.

Making the choice to put your pet to sleep is the most important one you’ll make in their entire lives. Dr. Goldie was incredibly kind, compassionate and loving to Ripkin and our family as we said farewell. Practically speaking it was the same cost (or less) of a usual visit to your own vet. For any pet moving forward I will be choosing Dr. Goldie. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Dr. Goldie came to our home to euthanize our beloved cat. Instead of making the last hours of her life terribly traumatic by putting her in a cage and transporting her in the car (two things she hated so much) she got to leave this world from the comfort of her own home. Dr. Goldie came quickly and Rose had a calm and pain free passing. Dr. Goldie also has a way of helping you through the process. She explains each step before it happens and she is so careful to ensure the pet is comfortable. We would highly recommend Dr. Goldie and should we ever find ourselves in this position again we will certainly contact her.

She made our pet feel at ease and took care to ensure each step of the process was done with as much compassion and care for our pet as you would want. Dr. Goldie provided the most professional, compassionate care during our sweet Roxy's in-home euthanasia. Dr. Goldie read the situation perfectly and provided much-needed human reassurance and care as well. She was available within hours notice (ours was not an emergency case) and I could not be more grateful. The ability to say goodbye to our loving pet in her own home was of such comfort to us all, and not having to wait long hours or days was invaluable. I truly cannot fathom anyone giving less than 5 stars or a glowing review for this service, and the glowing reviews here are testament to the incredible compassion and professionalism of Dr. Rosen.

My Vet recommended Dr. Goldie when I asked about in home euthanasia. She spoke with me when our Lab was first diagnosed with Lymphoma and I knew the we had made the right decision by the questions she asked, the information she shared and the way she cared about his quality of life at that point . When the time came ten days later, Dr. Goldie arrived within the hour in a snowstorm. She was professional yet sweet with our boy letting him pass away in the comfort of his own bed and our loving arms. She allowed us all the time we needed with him and fully explained every step of the procedure.
We would highly recommend her services.

It was truly an amazing experience. We called Dr. Goldie because our 17 yr old Marcy was going downhill quickly and we wanted her to die at home where she was most comfortable. Visiting the vet always stressed her and so this wasn't an option. Dr. Goldie saw that Marcy was having difficulty and sedated her right away. She explained clearly what she was going to do and what to expect. It was a peaceful experience that I will treasure. Dr. Goldie was very respectful of us and Marcy. Thanks Dr. Goldie

Last weekend we made the incredibly difficult decision to put our cat Maxine down. She was 17, and certainly had been struggling for awhile. Dr Goldie was incredible and spoke to me over the phone a few times to describe what the process would be like. I had an immediate comfort and confidence level in her, and had never met her before. On The morning of the appointment, she was warm, compassionate and professional. She patted Maxine, sat on the kitchen floor with me and even opened the fridge door... Maxine had recently become fascinated with the fridge. I held my little girl, head in my hand and she passed peacefully. Such a heartbreaking thing to do, but have so much respect and admiration for Dr. Goldie. I would recommend her services 100 percent.

Last week I made the though decision to put my poor cat Milo at rest. He was at a state that it would have been near impossible for me to get him out to a vet. I searched and found Dr. Goldie and she came that very night to my home. I have to say that she was very professional and personable. It was a difficult time for me and she kept me at ease and kept me informed through the whole process of euthanasia. She assured me that I was making the right decision which really did help at the time. I would highly recommend Dr. Goldie to anyone that has to make that tough decision to lay their family pet to rest.

Recently our family had to say goodbye to our Old English sheepdog, Shakespeare. We are so thankful for Dr. Goldie for being so kind during such a sad time for our family. She talked us through every step which brought us comfort by knowing exactly what was going to happen. Having her come to the house alleviated stress for us and our pup. Being able to say goodbye to our boy out on the front porch seemed perfect as it was his favourite spot. We are very greatful for her service and would highly recommend her. Thank you Dr. Goldie.

When it was time for us to put our little dog down, we wanted to have it done at home. I found Halton Veterinary online and called Dr. Goldie. She was pleasant and caring - and promised to be there later in the day. She arrived and instantly we felt relieved, she was empathetic, quick and very professional. She knows her stuff and adjusts her medications according to your needs. Our little guy peacefully left this world.
Thank you Dr. Goldie - for making this very difficult experience the best that it could be.........I would highly recommend you and your services to anyone.
