I love this animal hospital. The staff are all super professional and very friendly and helpful. I have full confidence in Kathy's advice for my diabetic cat and they have always taken great care of my calico cat when I am out of town: her second home! I highly recommend this place and they are reasonably priced.

This was my first and last visit to this clinic on Nov 8, 2018. I read the Yelp reviews and brought my beloved fur-baby Cori to see Dr. Goran. Cori was throwing up all water and pooping blood. The clinic was looking nice and the reception Robin is very helpful. Dr. Goran suggested X-ray checked if anything caused blooding inside. We waited more than an hour and was told no foreign object has found. He gave Cori 2 injections (Cerenia and subcutaneous fluid) and 3 kinds of medicines to go home, to keep her very warm because her temperature was extremely low. He explained clearly of taking medicine and congee timely... Unfortunately, Cori kept sleeping after home a couple of hours and refused medicine and eat. We felt her very weak breathing and we rushed her to VEC but it's too late even CPR has done. I was collapsed and almost fainted away.I doubt the side effect of Cerenia might not suitable for Cori after I checked online. It caused her even lethargy, weakness, and drowsiness. She has awareness before brought to the clinic but unconscious after home. I couldn't understand why Cori wasn't sent to VEC right away and spent time waited for X-ray, especially her temperature was extremely low from the inside. I have no experience that why I checked the Yelp and hope to find a reliable vet. I felt very sorry to Cori because I couldn't give her the fullest life to make up for lost time when we adopted her in age 3 and she passed away in 8. I don't angry with Dr. Goran because it's my fault to chose this animal clinic. Dr. Goran might be a patients veterinarian but I think he's lack of experiences dealing with an emergency in this situation.

My first experience with this clinic was when my dog got stung by a bee for the first time. He was clearly bothered and I took the cautious approach by getting him checked immediately. This was the only clinic that was open in the area at the time. I called ahead and ended up seeing Dr. Alcock. She did a complete check up and I was really impressed and happy with the entire experience. She's very knowledgeable, caring and didn't rush anything. I have a regular clinic I go to, but a few months down the road, I decided to take my dog here. I saw Dr. Goran this time around. He was amazing. I've never gone through a more thorough check up in the 8 years I've had my dog. He answered every question, explained things clearly and didn't push into unnecessary testing or anything. In fact, he said to monitor a few things and come back if there were any changes. This clinic also offers CBD oil for dogs which was effective in treating his anxiety. This is your ideal vet clinic. The service is top notch and the price for services are more than fair.

I have been here twice and was not overly impressed with the value for money. On my first visit for my dog I discovered her shots were out of date (my previous vet never notified me of the booster shot and I forgot it myself). He (the vet) seemed to be overly concerned that I could not afford the vaccines and tick/heartworm medication. This was off putting as they did not even tell me the price before he started telling me I could make multiple visits. When they finally told me the price which was under $450, I told them they should have been upfront with that as that is not a huge bill for someone that loves their dog. He also told me that my dog was overweight when I had already mention that this was my only health concern with my dog and explained how she was on a diet losing about 1 kg a month. I found this strange.
However my low rating is mainly due to the next visit 4 weeks later for another round of vaccine. I had to wait about 10 mins after my start time while the front desk was on the phone. The tech took my dogs temperature and they gave her the next shot. Than I found out there was a $55 fee for taking her temperature even though I just paid for a full checkup 4 weeks earlier. When I said that was a lot of money for what the sevice was, I was told it was how things were charged and my complaint were not warranted.
I will be finding another vet going forward and suggest anyone coming here as about prices prior to their appointment.

I am so grateful to the staff at Ashbridges Bay Animal Hospital! I'd applied to the Farley Foundation for funding to have my cat's dental work done. I believe Laura advocated for me to get the maximum amount and I did receive most of the funds available. They are pros who love the four-legged friends they treat. I also love seeing "Meep," the front desk feline mascot who is a great comfort when I come in to purchase food, meds or pay my bill. Fantastic Veterinary Clinic!

Dr. Kathy Alcock and her team at Ashbridges Bay Animal Hospital are the best!
I am in the process of relocating my cat across the globe and the process is a pain. I see light at the end of the tunnel now but I honestly don't know how I would have gotten there without Dr. Alcock. She is the most patient, caring vet that I have ever come across and I am grateful. Not only is she gentle with my fur baby, she is SO good at keeping ME calm! She listens, responds to all questions, and goes above and beyond all expectations. I can't emphasize the above and beyond part enough. I know that Dr. Alcock has spent a LOT of time on the phone/internet, researching things for the import/export of my cat. I don't think that there are a lot of other veterinarians out there who would do the same.
If I could give more stars, I would....Dr. Alcock and her team are really just the best.

My dog was quite unwell and had difficulty walking. We got an appointment asap that day and the vet even came out to our car in the snowstorm to do an assessment (our pup was moving with great difficulty). Wonderful, attentive, informative and compassionate staff (we met with Laura and Dr. Alcock). Dog is also substantially better within 2 days :)

My mum and I had to say goodbye to our 16 year old dog today. Kathy was absolutely amazing, she is my hero. She has been so supportive in the last few months while helping us care for Chloe and trying to make her as comfortable as possible. I was absolutely dreading this day, it is one of the hardest decisions a pet owner has to make. Kathy made everything seem so easy and reassured us that we were doing the right thing for our Chloe. She took time out of her busy schedule to give us special attention, which we could not appreciate more! I would recommend this lovely woman to anyone, I can not thank her and everyone at Ashbridges Bay Animal Hospital enough.

This clinic is awesome. I took my 14 year old cat here to see Dr.Kathy Alcock. She is wonderful with her. My baby has some arthritis and the beginning of kidney failure but with the right medication she is doing great. Dr.Alcock keeps on top of all Suki is doing and her medication. Suki and I love her to bits plus all the staff are great. They are helpful and friendly. Thank you for making my visit as stress free as possible and as happy a cat could be. We will definitely be coming back and recommending it to others.

I could not ask for a better health care facility for my pets. Superb veterinarians and vet techs! I say health care, because they know their stuff and they genuinely care. Very clear explanations of issues, always prompt with appointments, friendly professional staff throughout the clinic, reasonable pricing and parking! :)
Have been to a few other vets in my 16 years of being a pet mom and have finally found what I'm looking for.

My two kittens have been here many times, they had a lot of problems since we got them mostly due to not coming from SPCA but from some guy who was selling kittens.. They were awesome, and since I was there so often they would give me discounts and whatnot. Anytime I would call they would get me in as soon as possible which was amazing!!
I really highly recommend this place.
I brought my kitten to another vet that had cheap spaying and I regret it because they did a terrible job on stitching her up so i brought my kitten to this vet and they fixed her up.
This place is so super clean (which i absolutely love because i can be quite a germa-phobe..)

Fabulous. I've started going to Ashbridges after visiting other clinics. Have been with Dr. Kelly Cummings for the last two years and she is great and takes the time to explain current research and veterinarian procedures regardless of how much experience you have. I currently take my two cats and dog here. Having animals my whole life you need to be an animal advocate and she definitely believes it that as well. The entire team is great, very efficient and kind. Great place, highly recommended.

I have been going to Ashbridges Bay Animal Hospital since it's opening. Excellent service and care for our animals. Recently, I had to use them for an emergency. Words cannot describe how great full I am after Dr. Lehel Koszti saved my dog's life. The surgery went extremely well, the stitches were textbook perfection and my 8.5 year old Rottweiler healed beautifully. Thank you to everyone at ABAH.

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic. My first visit was about a month ago and since then I've spent a fair bit of time here, either with my very sick kitty (who is feeling much better now), or picking up meds or food for my very sick kitty.The reception staff are friendly and welcoming, even if you're interrupting something or asking silly questions. The space is nothing fancy, but the resident ferrets and pet paintings by local artists make me happy. And, for me, you can't beat the location. I don't drive, but for those who do, street parking is never a problem. If you ttc, there's a stop just at the corner.I've seen Dr. Hume a number of times and am thrilled that we found her. She spent a long time taking a thorough history and getting to know Mr. Kitty (not his real name) before drawing any conclusions. She takes the time to explain everything so that we can understand it, and is never judgey or pushy. When making a plan for Mr. Kitty she acknowledged that money plays a role in these decisions and drew up estimates for a couple of different options so I could make a more informed decision. After Mr. Kitty came home she even called us a couple of times to see how we were doing, and has worked with us to change his meds as necessary since then. She's just super supportive and great and I feel reassured knowing that Mr. Kitty is in her hands.I am thrilled that we found this clinic and would recommend it to anyone seeking a new vet in the area.

Amazing vets and staff. Always remember all our cats' names, ask after them and remember their quirks and issues. Have taken excellent care of our animals for four years, through staff and doctor changes with professionalism and compassion. Helpful with our process of moving a stray into the house, even - and happy that we did. We just took one of our guys in for dental work and Dr. Hume called multiple times to check in and make sure he was doing okay. He was up and around, happy again within days. Cannot say enough good things.

I adore the people and service at Ashbridges Bay. When I moved away from the beaches, I switched vets in favour of someone closer by - BIG mistake. The new vet actually injured and misdiagnosed two cats during two different visits. I immediately went back to Ashbridges Bay for a second opinion, and I was so thankful for how intuitive and kind the doctors are, and how well they can interpret symptoms into an accurate diagnosis. The doctors have a way with handling animals that puts them at ease, which is something I have not seen replicated by any other vet. And the prices for specialty food is the best I've found in town. If you love and care for your pet, you can trust the doctors at Ashbridges Bay to treat your animal with that same level of love and care. As long as I live in the GTA, I will go out of my way to ensure my animals are placed in their care.

Awesome, compassionate vets--my cat needed to have most of her teeth removed, and they did it quickly and professionally. (It was so painless for my cat that she was playing and eating the night I brought her home from her surgery!) The surgery wasn't cheap (it never is!), but there wasn't a lot of dicking around with complicated tests, and the final bill was very fair. If you're in the area, this is the place to go.

I love this animal hospital. The staff are all super professional and very friendly and helpful. I have full confidence in Kathy's advice for my diabetic cat and they have always taken great care of my calico cat when I am out of town: her second home! This clinic is awesome. I took my 14 year old cat here to see Dr.Kathy Alcock. She is wonderful with her. My baby has some arthritis and the beginning of kidney failure but with the right medication she is doing great. Dr.Alcock keeps on top of all Suki is doing and her medication. Suki and I love her to bits plus all the staff are great. They are helpful and friendly. Thank you for making my visit as stress free as possible and as happy a cat could be. We will definitely be coming back and recommending it to others.

I could not ask for a better health care facility for my pets. Superb veterinarians and vet techs! I say health care, because they know their stuff and they genuinely care. Very clear explanations of issues, always prompt with appointments, friendly professional staff throughout the clinic, reasonable pricing and parking! :)
Have been to a few other vets in my 16 years of being a pet mom and have finally found what I'm looking for.

My two kittens have been here many times, they had a lot of problems since we got them mostly due to not coming from SPCA but from some guy who was selling kittens.. They were awesome, and since I was there so often they would give me discounts and whatnot. Anytime I would call they would get me in as soon as possible which was amazing!!
I really highly recommend this place.
I brought my kitten to another vet that had cheap spaying and I regret it because they did a terrible job on stitching her up so i brought my kitten to this vet and they fixed her up.
This place is so super clean (which i absolutely love because i can be quite a germa-phobe..)

Fabulous. I've started going to Ashbridges after visiting other clinics. Have been with Dr. Kelly Cummings for the last two years and she is great and takes the time to explain current research and veterinarian procedures regardless of how much experience you have. I currently take my two cats and dog here. Having animals my whole life you need to be an animal advocate and she definitely believes it that as well. The entire team is great, very efficient and kind. Great place, highly recommended.

I have been going to Ashbridges Bay Animal Hospital since it's opening. Excellent service and care for our animals. Recently, I had to use them for an emergency. Words cannot describe how great full I am after Dr. Lehel Koszti saved my dog's life. The surgery went extremely well, the stitches were textbook perfection and my 8.5 year old Rottweiler healed beautifully. Thank you to everyone at ABAH.

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic. My first visit was about a month ago and since then I've spent a fair bit of time here, either with my very sick kitty (who is feeling much better now), or picking up meds or food for my very sick kitty.The reception staff are friendly and welcoming, even if you're interrupting something or asking silly questions. The space is nothing fancy, but the resident ferrets and pet paintings by local artists make me happy. And, for me, you can't beat the location. I don't drive, but for those who do, street parking is never a problem. If you ttc, there's a stop just at the corner.I've seen Dr. Hume a number of times and am thrilled that we found her. She spent a long time taking a thorough history and getting to know Mr. Kitty (not his real name) before drawing any conclusions. She takes the time to explain everything so that we can understand it, and is never judgey or pushy. When making a plan for Mr. Kitty she acknowledged that money plays a role in these decisions and drew up estimates for a couple of different options so I could make a more informed decision. After Mr. Kitty came home she even called us a couple of times to see how we were doing, and has worked with us to change his meds as necessary since then. She's just super supportive and great and I feel reassured knowing that Mr. Kitty is in her hands.I am thrilled that we found this clinic and would recommend it to anyone seeking a new vet in the area.

Amazing vets and staff. Always remember all our cats' names, ask after them and remember their quirks and issues. Have taken excellent care of our animals for four years, through staff and doctor changes with professionalism and compassion. Helpful with our process of moving a stray into the house, even - and happy that we did. We just took one of our guys in for dental work and Dr. Hume called multiple times to check in and make sure he was doing okay. He was up and around, happy again within days. Cannot say enough good things.

I adore the people and service at Ashbridges Bay. When I moved away from the beaches, I switched vets in favour of someone closer by - BIG mistake. The new vet actually injured and misdiagnosed two cats during two different visits. I immediately went back to Ashbridges Bay for a second opinion, and I was so thankful for how intuitive and kind the doctors are, and how well they can interpret symptoms into an accurate diagnosis. The doctors have a way with handling animals that puts them at ease, which is something I have not seen replicated by any other vet. And the prices for specialty food is the best I've found in town. If you love and care for your pet, you can trust the doctors at Ashbridges Bay to treat your animal with that same level of love and care. As long as I live in the GTA, I will go out of my way to ensure my animals are placed in their care.

Awesome, compassionate vets--my cat needed to have most of her teeth removed, and they did it quickly and professionally. (It was so painless for my cat that she was playing and eating the night I brought her home from her surgery!) The surgery wasn't cheap (it never is!), but there wasn't a lot of dicking around with complicated tests, and the final bill was very fair. If you're in the area, this is the place to go.
