The only small animal veterinary hospital I will entrust with my dogs and cats in Orangeville. Very knowledgeable and understanding staff and always put the well being of the animals over anything else. Be assured you won't be talked into any unnecessary expensive non essential treatments. My best friends stomach twisted last night. I rushed her to Brampton where she had emergency surgery at 12:00am. In the morning I took her to Fifth Avenue Vet at 8:30am with instruction from the emergency vet to have her heart monitored. I had never been there but my regular vet didn't have the equipment to monitor heart rhythm. I felt like I walk into the vet clinic of the future. The office was absolutely amazing and had obviously been custom designed from scratch for Veterinary services. It look more professional and much better equipped than all hospitals and doctors offices I have seen. The staff was friendly caring knowledgeable and helpful. It all made me feel better when I was having my heart ripped out !! I will be telling my family and friends what a great experience I had! Read Less

Our first visit today with our dog Cherry went extremely well. I was impressed by their genuine interest and pleased with the amount of time they spent with us in the room. Location was ideal, parking was not a problem, the establishment was clean and decorated nicely (unlike past experiences). They even cut my dogs nails and showed me the quick, which I have always been squeamish about and never really been schooled at. They showed me her anatomy by statue to explain a problem she had. We were previously happy with the cleanliness of the clinic and staff.  HOWEVER, my 6 month old puppy woke up one morning with her eyes swollen shut and she was extremely lethargic. We immediately went into Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic as soon as they opened.  We were informed that they had numerous emergencies that morning and couldn't see her until 3:15 or 5:30.  No one was available to even establish if her heart beat or breathing was irregular.We went to another veterinary clinic in Orangeville and were seen promptly..never again.The clinic is great unless you have an emergency.  please DO NOT rely on this clinic to be available when you need them!. After taking an outdoors cat to this vet clinic this morning, there's not enough I can say about all of the staff and their care and compassion , for both owner and animal. This person has no idea of what needs to be done when taking care of a pet. She has no knowledge and if you would like your pet to be well looked after when in a serious sickness please do not take your pet there, you will regret it and you might risk losing your pet like i did. The clinic looks nice and its very deceiving but the staff including the vet is not good. If she has no idea what's wrong with your pet she will start doing trials, therefore you spend an fortune and the end result might results in the death of your pet. She doesn't even touch or examine the pet herself. She is doing this for the money and as a bussiness not as a true vetrenarian that cares about pets. I lost my dog awhile back because of her incompetence and her trials and wrong diagnostics. She really should be closed down because the life of our pets is not safe in her care. So please, any serious problems do not go there, better yet do not go there period. Horrible horrible experience. Read Less
