I had to take my dog to be euthanised after paying the bill I ask about her ashes well they said that extra. I love this clinic, the staff are amazing, they are very prompt with the appointments and they make sure you understand every part of the procedures your dog may need. Dr. Torabi has been very helpful diagnosing the issues our dog had, he was very precise and explained everything to us, our dog had to undergo a complicated surgery outside the clinic and he and the staff made sure the hospital has all the updated test results and files. they did a lot of follow ups after that to make sure our dog was doing ok. I do not hesitate to recommend this clinic to anyone. Read Less

Had a bad experience. Vets did not listen to our requests and warnings about our cat. They thought they knew better and the tech god clawed up and bitten. I have been taking my cats to this place for a year, the staff are nice, attentive and confident, We never had any issue. I can't comment on the price, because this is the closest vet to me and I didn't bother to ask around, the fee sounds reasonable to me though and they give you a detailed list so you know what you are paying for. ------- This is an edit to previous comment I have moved from the area and compared to the new vet (Liston) I would say, Britannia Heights is more expensive. Everyone there is approachable and friendly. The information they give you is proper. My dog has had surgeries there and everything went according to plan. I would highly recommend this clinic , The last time I was there was 13 yrs ago and Dr Murray cared for our Dog at the time who was Amazing! Things have never changed because when I walked in this time I got a very warm feeling. Dr. Alex Torabi , his Assistant and staff were so good to us the day we had to put our stray cat down. I was very impressed how they are so efficient and friendly. When we received the grieving card one week later and looked inside only to see an laminated picture of our cat, plus a poem with his paw print on it meant the world to us, it showed me how much you all cared. There have been some negative reviews of the clinic since Dr. Murray retired, but I have been going there for years, and took my dog for help with an allergy flare-up. Dr Torabi was very good, as was the vet tech. The recommended treatment was similar to the treatment Dr. Murray would have recommended. Except that past flare-ups we had to use cortisone to stop the itching, but Dr. Torabi recommended a new medicine, Apoquel. It stopped the itching in 2 hours, without the nasty side-effects of cortisone. So far, I'm happy with things at the clinic. Read Less

Great vet clinic with decent front-line staff and vet. Dr. Murray was always great with our pets, and never tried to "up-sell" us with products or services - treatments were only for what was necessary. That said, the clinic is undergoing a change in head vet (2016). Time will tell how the new vet runs his practice. Read Less

I needed to pick up medication for an existing prescription, but they refused to without an appointment. I explained that I already had an appointment with my vet back home and did not need a general checkup. They refused service to me, and the vet refused to even speak to me, because I would not spend 70 unnecessary dollars to get a prescription I already had. Very aggressive staff. Read Less

When our lovebird flew off our balcony and landed on a man at the same plaza as the vet clinic, the staff took her in and provided her with food, water and shelter. The following day the clinic called around looking for her owner. I had posted an ad with the humane society and they gave him my number, I was so grateful and relieved to hear that she was safe and sound. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Really kind staff. Dr. Murray really cares about your pets, and had a great manner. Much more honest than many places in town. I've been here with two pets: one cat, one dog.My recently adopted 8-year-old dog has received great care. Dr. Murray and his staff are very understanding of your pet's unique personality and history. He made sure our dog was healthy and happy. He was very reasonable and sensible about cost, while concerning himself with our pup's welfare. She's doing very well, happy and healthy.My cat who who I'd loved since I was 10 was in her final weeks received excellent care. The staff was very kind, and you could tell they understood what I felt and how important it was to me to make my girl as comfortable and happy as possible. Originally started coming here in 1991 based on a recommendation from a friend who was a vet tech here for a while. Dr. Murray is absolutely fantastic. He is patient, gentle, and he's never suggested a procedure or treatment that wasn't necessary. There are too many vets in Ottawa who are just out to make money - Dr. Murray isn't one of them.
