Incredibly not happy. Took my dog in to be fixed. Shes a small gentle friendly dog and he was overly rough with her during inspection. During surgery did something that caused "extra bleeding" and refused to come see me in person when I picked her up. Waited 20 minutes and he refused to come out. Had to go in a few days later as her stitches were done terribly and were causing her problems - she also developped mass of sweelling and bleeding. Different vet did an operation again - was a nicer vet but then refused to prescribe pain meds for her so she was suffering. Went to a different vet to have her treated properly. Was given meds to stop her pain and keep her calm What should have been a simple procedure has turned into a several week ordeal and cost me an additional 400$. Never going back here again EVER! My cat stays here every time I leave town for work. They have very friendly staff, and they take great care of your pets. They used to be my vet as well, but I had to switch over to Altavista because his health required 24 hour care for a while. Their vets are friendly, and they do not overcharge for their service. Good veterinary services and modest bills. The vets here seems to take on easy approach on life, so do not expect them to sugarcoat things or say thing just for your feelings sake. I haven't had any real complications with my dogs, but the ones I've had have been properly managed, and my dogs have always gotten better. Read Less

I have two special needs dogs with multiple issues from abuse. Dr. Fattah has the expertise to help me manage their conditions, and he shows them such understanding that even my anxiety-aggressive girl loves to go see him. Thanks to him, the male with severe stress allergies is now living comfortably. He and his colleague are open, honest, and clear about the choices, the probable consequences, and the costs. After almost two decades in rescue, I can still learn things from them, and they are glad to teach. their staff are great -- kind, willing to adapt to meet our needs, fast and ultra professional. I cannot thank the staff enough at Glebe Pet Hospital for all that they have done. They saved my dogs life when I was a nursing student and couldn't afford a lot- they had a quick diagnosis which decreased the amount of tests (and the price) and I have been forever grateful. We started off coming here when we got our pup two years ago, as they were within walking distance to our then-home and seemed to have decent reviews. We've since stayed with them despite moving away for numerous reasons.The staff and Dr. Levesque are all helpful, caring and empathetic, and I've never been made to feel rushed or like an inconvenience - even when just calling in to ask questions about a recommended course of action when we had a concern. Dr. Levesque has always presented options in a clear manner, and has made recommendations to best suit our dog's needs, and not her pocketbook (including recommending against expensive tests that could help pinpoint an issue but were unlikely to add value to its treatment). To that end, the vet fees are very reasonable, and we've since learned are some of the most financially competitive in the city!Parking can be a bit irritating, but there is usually paid street parking available close to the hospital. It's a small price to pay for the quality of care received at here, and we'll happily continue to bring our pup here - hopefully mostly for her annual check-up! Read Less

This place is a bit inconspicuous and took a bit of looking to find. It's located beside the Wallacks on the corner of Bank and Rosebery Avenue in the Glebe (well, duh, I guess). We were really nervous about finding a vet for Finn's first surgery (poor guy got fixed), but we also wanted to shop around for a competitive price. After calling several places in the city, this place was the most reasonable financially and they were very kind and friendly over the phone.When we brought Finny in, he was pretty scared, but the staff and the vet were very friendly and reassuring. They gave us constant updates after the surgery (Finn had to stay overnight), letting us know how he was doing and as nervous puppy parents, we really appreciated it. When he was allowed to be picked up, we were presented with a little certificate of bravery signed by the two resident clinic kitties. He was pretty swollen, but they gave us great direction on how to take care of him. After a day or so, his wound started to bleed again so we brought him back in and they fixed the stitches and gave us some pain meds all free of charge. Again, the staff were really sweet and made us feel comfortable.If you're looking for a place to bring your furry loved ones, this place might not look like too much from the outside, but the staff really make it a wonderful experience for everyone.
