Prince Of Wales Animal Hospital

Nepean, Ontario
General Info
Prince Of Wales Animal Hospital is a well-known name among pet owners throughout Nepean and beyond. Prince Of Wales Animal Hospital is among the most well-known establishments for pet owners looking for veterinary care in Nepean. The clinic’s presence in Ontario allows pet owners from adjacent areas to access steady care. Thus, in certain cases, services might comprise what is needed for a routine checkup next to pet vaccinations and early disease screening or pet diagnostic consultations. Through the establishment of a well-organized and peaceful environment, the facility reduces stress for both pets and their owners. The Nepean vet team looks after a broad spectrum of medical issues such as dermatological, dental, and mobility issues. The clinic also handles emergency conditions like infections or digestive changes. The Prince Of Wales Animal Hospital is a vital resource for numerous families in Ontario dealing with difficult diagnoses and the day-to-day management of senior pets suffering from chronic conditions. Visitors also often mention the way Tatler Clinic communicates, as all information is presented clearly, kindly, and simply. Pet owners feel confident about what they choose for their pets. They point out the ability to develop trust and close bonds with employees due to consistent services over time. Thanks to their deep knowledge of both simple and complex veterinary topics, employees are the best mentors regarding long-term animal care. Through the clinic’s participation in the local pet community, a network aimed at promoting both diligent animal care and responsible pet ownership (Perkins 2019). Veterinary clinics in Ontario remain reliable for regular check-ups and emergencies. Prince Of Wales Animal Hospital is a valued resource for pet owners throughout Nepean and adjacent Ontario areas who frequently express gratitude for its existence. Whether someone is a new pet parent who needs some guidance, or a longtime client managing an animal with special needs, the need for compassionate and straightforward veterinary care never changes. I have been a customer of the Prince of Wales animal hospital for over 15 years. Today I was at a hospital with my husband and the appointment went longer than we thought. My apt was for 6 pm and I realized at 6:05 that I needed to get there. I arrived at 6:15 and I was told that they only leave 10 minutes passed the apt and then you have to reschedule. I said I was at a hospital all. It only another 5 minutes. You don't care about my day and the fact that I tried my best to get here fast. How many times have I waited in the room for the doctor to appear and take care of my dog at my scheduled apt when i was exactly on time. Most times it was at least a half hour before they walked in. So when you go here tell them they only have 10 minutes to get in the room to see your dog. This is no way to treat loyal customers that have come there for years. She just said because it was 5 minutes more you have to reschedule. Stay away from this place. I am definitely leaving. They do not deserve to have my business. Read Less

Meadowlands had already confirmed with Beechwood that they can sell me his diabetic food and I had been buying it there for months. We have been dealing with Prince of Wales Animal hospital for about 3 years now. We initially just had our dog going there. We switched our cat to this vet after the spring from H-E- double hockey sticks. We thought that our dog may have gotten into something REALLY bad at the cottage. They saw her immediately when we called. They only did the tests needed for what we suspected she had gotten into. They didn't do anything unnecessary for the situation. Everything with that turned out fine (thank God!). Wouldn't you know it, the very next week, our cat started showing urinary issues. Having dealt with urinary blockages in the past with another cat, we were understandably very scared. We called the cat's regular vet, but because they were close to closing, they suggested taking him to an emergency vet ($300 just to walk in the door. We have been there before!). We decided to call the dog's vet (Prince of Wales Animal Hospital), and they said to bring him right in! Not only did they stay open late to see him, but they definitely tried to keep costs under control for us knowing that our dog had just cost us money the week before. The vet really listened to us, and handled him the way he likes to be handled. They don't use the "what's good handling for one animal is good for all" mentality. They do the same with our dog. She is extremely anxious getting her nails clipped, so when they take her to do them, the vet has her under one arm, and a giant treat jar under the other. Yes, they may cost a bit more than other vet clinics, but you get what you pay for, and they will only do what's necessary. Other vets may be cheaper for yearly check ups, but in an emergency will shake you down for any and every test that could possibly pertain to the situation. We will be moving soon, and switching to their sister clinic, but I have full faith that their sister clinic will be the same. If not, we will drive the extra distance to go back to Prince of Wales. Algonquin animal hospital doctors and staff are compassionate people. This year we lost 2 dogs, one at home and one humanly euthanized after a stroke. After a 2 month period of having no dogs, we purchased a Labrador pup and instantly returned to Algonquin because we knew we would get the best care for our new family member. I found the staff here very friendly and accommodating! Especially the first time we booked an appointment there it was for what we thought was an emergency. I was at home with our lab who had eaten something she shouldn't have and was now pooping blood. Terrified I called my fiancee at work and we were both calling around to different vets begging for an appointment that day. This was the only vet in the area to fit us in and we had accidentally both booked an appointment than we both called to cancel then had to rebook again. They were very understanding that we were a bit disorganized and frazzled. I now always ask for the same doctor (whom my pets and I adore) and have no problem scheduling a convenient time. They weren't pushy for selling us things we didn't need but they were a bit pricier than some other vets BUT in my opinion totally worth the little bit more. You get what you pay for and the service here was great and always is great. Read Less

My cats have received good care at this veterinary clinic and I have not had problems getting appointments that suited my schedule. They have done well in reminding me of the cats' annual exams, which is great. They also stock a variety of prescription food and such--I have always been able to get my cat's medicated food and pills there easily enough.I started using this clinic when I first moved to Ottawa because of its location to my then apartment, it was very convenient for me. But, in that time my cats have seen a revolving door of doctors--all very good and friendly, but rarely the same one twice. So while the care was good, I have grown tired of explaining my cats' conditions every time I go in. Now that I live downtown, and it's no longer convenient, I will be looking for a new vet that will hopefully remember my pets when I bring them in.2/30 Read Less

We have been using their services for over 30 years and always felt that they really cared. The late Dr Stewart was an amazing vet and he expected the same from all the staff and he left a great legacy. Read Less
