The clinic’s community outreach in the local pet environment builds a solid foundation for a network that facilitates responsible pet ownership and adequate animal care. Pet owners seeking a reputable veterinary facility in Ontario for regular check-ups and emergency care will find it to be an excellent option. The existence of Westboro Animal Hospital is a valuable resource for people in Ottawa and the surrounding Ontario regions. New pet owners needing guidance and longtime clients dealing with medical conditions both require veterinary services to be clear, compassionate, and consistent. I would most definitely agree with the second reviewer about the costs. It seems as though the initial fee of ~60-70 at most vets doesn't get you much (including westboro). It basically pays for the vet to talk to you and any other work is going to cost you an amount you really can't predict (or get charged for after the fact!).  The clinics (incl. westboro) should be clear on costs and when they're applied. I honestly think the vets make up costs on the fly and the only thing that would change my mind on that is posting them in their clinics for all clients to see. I'm not too hopeful on that happening though.*** Be wary of fake reviews **** Read Less

My sister and I have truly had a long and drawn out experience the past couple of weeks with her very sick kitty, Mimi. We have been to the clinic about four times in the past week.We decided to bring her here based on previous reviews and proximity to her house. The practice itself is constantly bustling. It's pretty small, so I wouldn't recommend bringing super nervous dogs here, or perhaps wait with them outside. I believe I heard murmurings of them moving to a new building which would make sense because of how busy they are.Overall, the staff here are pretty fantastic. I have to give a shout out to Amie and Megan. Both have been extremely kind and helpful. We saw Dr. Laite and Dr. Cameron, and both were wonderful with Mimi and very kind. Apparently she has a very complicated illness and they have been consulting with other doctors worldwide to figure out her treatment. We were having trouble force feeding here and they let us know that we could bring her in and they would teach us, which I thought was great. The only issues here? The price, as with most vet clinics. We dropped almost $700 on the first visit without any idea it would cost so much. It would have been nice to have some kind of warning. I've also had I come back two or three times to pick up mess that they didn't have in stock. Which was a bit irritating. Otherwise, the service is great. The vets truly care about the health if your animal. Read Less

Dr. Cameron was able to see our dog within quick notice, and provided fantasic service. His exam was thorough, and he was able to quickly identify the ear ailment from which our dog was suffering. After an immediate lab test (while we waited in the examination room) he prescribed a relatively inexpensive medication. Having nearly completed the course of meds, I can safely say that my dog has made a great recovery. The staff at this clinic are very friendly and clearly love the animals that they work with. Dr. Cameron himself is energetic, friendly, and more importantly knows what he is doing. The whole procedure (exam + meds) cost far less than I expected, and was all completed in a reasonable amount of time. We have used other vets with mixed results, but will definitely be going back to Westboro Animal Hospital for any future needs. Read Less

Great staff & awesome veterinarian! Anyone that has been there knows that they really go the extra mile to ensure that you and your fur babies are comfortable! Shame on those who are giving bad reviews just because someone asked you to. My dogs have had nothing but exceptional care from Dr.Ian for years, and I wouldn't think twice about recommending his care to other families! Keep up the good work!!Read Less

Feb. 1, 2015 - One year ago today my 14 year-old Katie cat lost her battle with Kidney Disease. Although WAH couldn't be with her when she passed away, they were there where it counted - to pick up the pieces afterwards.

Read Less

The staff were so kind and I was so touched to see just how much they care about my little guy.
