As a first time dog owner, I brought my dog to Jackson's Creek looking for quality care. They never informed me about fleas/ticks, and in his first year my dog got fleas and spread them to my girlfriend's dog. The following year I was taking my dog to an outdoor dog daycare that required a list of vaccines. When I called to get this I found out that he was behind on some of his vaccines, and Jackson's Creek had never called to inform me. I asked them to please call me in the future, as they should have done, and they agreed that they would, and that was their "usual practice". When I brought him in to get his vaccines I found out he was actually behind on even MORE, that they had not informed me about on the phone. On another occasion, my dog had kennel cough (because they did not call me to update his Bordatella vaccine, yet again), and I brought him in to get looked at. They asked me multiple times why I was in, and I had to reiterate why to multiple people. They asked if he had any vomiting and I clearly said no. They prescribed him meds for his kennel cough and we left. The vet had barely any interactions with my dog, and nobody there seemed like "dog lovers". After all of this I decided enough was enough, and I would be switching him to where my girlfriend takes her dog (Otonabee Animal Hospital), and had Jackson's Creek forward them his information. After his initial visit at OAH, the vet said "he must've been vomiting when he had kennel cough?" And I answered no, and questioned why. She said the meds they had prescribed him were specifically for vomiting. Clearly a money grab. I also found out when they switched his file over, that Jackson's Creek had my dog's birthday listed as the completely wrong date and month. When I take him to OAH everyone greets myself and my dog, and they are friendly, helpful, and informative - all things that Jackson's Creek was not. I will never recommend Jackson's Creek to any pet owner, as I would never want someone else to go through the stresses of fleas, kennel cough, and unnecessary medication purchases, like I did. I 100% recommend Otonabee Animal Hospital, and leaving Jackson's Creek for OAH was the best decision I have made for my dog and myself. Read Less
