Absolutely tremendous care at PPH. Our dog Findley switched to PPH from another clinic when she was very young. She has received care here from various vets and vet techs over the years. We recently had to say goodbye to Findley and the staff at PPH made this experience as comfortable as possible. We feel that they go above and beyond and truly care about each and every family and pet. Findley was actually excited to see the vets and vet techs! The best feeling ever is knowing that the people you choose to care for your baby (dog... shhhh) are the best I know everytime I go to the vets or see someone asking about vets, I always post about this place with the highest of praise- but seriously ... This is the vets who not only gave me extra YEARS with my Shera, but consistently put HER comfort and quality of life before the dollar sign.... Anyone knows anything about pyometria KNOWS she is a mystery for having been able to survive happily and, for the majority, in comfort with pyo....being ineligible for spaying due to age and health :( I accredit that entirely to the veterinary care she received at the Peterborough Pet Hospital- and shera and i went through ALOT of vets. I am shamelessly picky with who I will allow in a position of trust with something so important to me. My dais-face WALTZED outa the back of the office after her laproscopic spay daystay at the vets..... stopping to visit with the desk ladies on her way out before even noticing I was there... her tiny incisions have been well inspected by momma and are nice and tidy (franken dog....)... she is down for the count now whilst the rest of the drugs wear off; but in 24 hours she can be off of "couch potatoe mode", then take it easy for a day or two then she should be back in form 10 million outta 10 would recommend this veterinary team And thank you Dr. Muise for your excellent "bedside manner" and your use of social media to comfort a distraught dog mom! I can now say I have had great service and care from every vet at this awesome place!Read Less

We have nothing but the utmost regard for this practice. Joe is a phenomenal vet. We have multiple animals we have rescued and at times the financial side is taxing. Joe has always worked with us . The level of care given to the animals is far superior to any clinic we have dealt with in the past.very thorough. Everything is explained well. Dr. McDermid is amazing and has looked after our boys for the last 8 years. We started with one dog and gradually grew to being a 4 dog family. On the rare occasion that we needed to come in on a day that Dr. McDermid wasn't in, we were treated with the same kindness and compassion of Dr. Smith and Dr. Simmonds. I have been a client of Peterborough Pet Hospital for 16 years and find them the best and most reasonable in the area. My dog had 3 surgeries over his14 year life and Dr. Muise is the best surgeon around. An example of this is my friend from Toronto has a 13 year old Yorkie who had a very expensive surgery to enable her to walk on all 4 legs. This surgery did not work, so I brought her to Dr. Muise. He basically had to undo everything that had been done in Toronto and she is now walking like she had nothing wrong and he was not as expensive as the surgery that didn't work.
