As a pet owner, saying goodbye to your pet is very hard. Recently we had to say good bye to our beloved Nikita, this was a hard decision for us and the staff at Amberlea were very amazing in every part of the process. What sets them apart is today we received a card in the mail from the staff personally, not only did they each sign it and say wonderful things they also took the time to place a paw print of Nikita in the card. I never do this, but I feel it is only fair to write a review complimenting this amazing veterinary clinic. We got our little Boston barely over a year ago, and to say he had a rough go with his health early on would be an understatement. Had Amberlea not been there for us we truly don't know how we would have made it through the process. To say they went above and beyond would be an understatement. The amount of effort and care they showed towards our little guy cannot be put into words. To have a vet that truly cares about the pet and the owners is all a pet owner could ask for, and I would 100% recommend Amberlea to anyone and everyone who wants that peace of mind. My Rottweiler absolutely hates going to the vet and usually his previous vets haven’t been able to do much for him on his general visits.Dr. Fulop was amazing with him and very understanding. Took our 8 week old puppy Apollo to Amberlea today for his first appointment since we brought him home. He's my first pet and Amberlea had been recommended by several of my friends. I'm so pleased with care he got today! I absolutely love this place! I took my new puppy in to get her health check and vaccinations and wasn't sure what to expect. I have had some bad experiences with some vets in the past. We have recently moved to Pickering and started taking our dog to Amberlea Animal Hospital. Dr. Fulop and her team have been great and you can tell that they really love and care about animals. Dr Fulop treated my previous dogs & cats with such kindness and compassion at her former clinic that I was ecstatic to find out that she opened her own clinic in Pickering. I cannot say enough great things about this clinic. From the front line staff to Dr Fulop and Dr Steele. Dr Steele treated our Beagle Patches for a pulled neck muscle. His gentle calm demeanor was a joy. Patches loved everyone even on the second visit getting her shots updated and nails trimmed. Then to my surprise follow up calls inquiring how Patches was doing .. not just one but a couple. They truly care about thier patients and that is obvious. Then Dr Fulop seen our English Bulldog/Boxer mix Miss Georgia for her health check and shot updates. Sounds easy enough but Miss Georgia is not what you would call a people person on most occasions. OMG to my surprise Georgia loved everyone there and was an angel!! Dr Fulop was a breath of fresh air and what I thought would be a stressful situation I was dreading turned out to be the highlight of my day! The care and time Dr Fulop gave was first class! We are officially Amberlea Animal hospital family and I would not trust anyone else with my fur babies. I would and will recommend this clinic to everyone we know!! This vet is the best!!!!! I have always been a bit nervous taking my dogs to a vet office as I had a bad experience with my old dog at another vet in Pickering. I just recently got a puppy and when I started googling and looking at Yelp reviews on vets, Amberlea seemed to be the only good one and man was I right! The vet here is amazing and she's so caring and you can really tell she loves the animals!! I know it's not about the money, but her prices were super affordable I was amazed!! Most affordable and most caring vet in Durham by far. I have tried some other vets in Pickering and whitby but I will be definitely staying at amberlea for my new pup! The other vets offices in Pickering seem to be more expensive which is not what it should be like. Read Less

My cat, Raven, was experiencing urinary problems and I had to bring him to a vet straight away. Upon 5 minutes of quick research I stumbled upon this hospital and called them as soon as they opened to book an appointment. The receptionist was very prompt and was able to squeeze in an appointment for me despite being a slot taken. The staff was very kind and they immediately took him in for a checkup. Dr. Steeles and the technicians were very kind and they were able to accomodate to my financial circumstances while help Raven recover. The main reason I chose this hospital was because it was the closest to my home and it was known to have the best reviews and reputation in Pickering. And based on those facts, I can 100% agree on it.  I can't thank this hospital enough for treating my loving furball back to his energetic and yappy self. They went beyond my expectations. My sister & I have trusted Dr. Fulop for years.  When she moved her practice to Pickering, we followed.  She's wonderful & caring with our dogs and goes out of her way to help you save money.  My sister's dog prefers females so she always sees Dr. Fulop.  My dog,  however,  loves everyone at the clinic so we've had the opportunity to see Dr. Steele a couple of times since he joined the practice.   He & Dr. Fulop went to veterinary school together.  And he's wonderful & caring & follows the same practice of keeping costs down. The staff have been just great every time I've dealt with them.  They greet you with a smile & a high degree of professionalism.  But they greet your pet with warmth and affection.  They keep the place clean and very well organized. This animal hospital opened up just a year and a bit ago.  Dr. Fulop who runs the facility is an excellent, passionate doctor that has been seeing our dog for years and years.She used to work at the West Hill animal clinic at Port Union and Lawrence and decided to open her own office.I trust my dog's care with her and feel like she is the best veterinarian out there.You can not go wrong.
