I’ve never written a google review like this but feel it’s important for others to know. Dr Raj is wonderful if you can get past his militant unprofessional front desk. Dr Raj has treated both of my cats since the day he opened. I was actually his first client and have referred countless friends to his extraordinary care. My last interaction with his front desk was a nightmare that resulted in my cat becoming much worse with her condition. Christina Hegyi, a very young 22 year old staff member hung up on me when I asked for Dr Raj to call me simply to okay an eye ointment my cat has been on for a few years. Each time I called back she would either not answer and send to voicemail or pick up the phone and hang up. She was insistent I bring my cat in for a paid examination when it was the same condition that had been treated for her eyes for a few years. This was unnecessary and I knew Dr Raj would authorize the purchase. She said to bring my cat in on Saturday which was 2 days away. Finally after all of a sudden agreeing, my son picked up the ointment for 50.00 and it was the wrong one. I called asking for a refund and she said no. Christina Hegyi never consulted me she changed the ointment that was ineffective for the condition. But I need the right ointment, was tired of arguing with this child and she agreed to provide it. I called the next morning and her games of not answering my calls continued again. She did the same with my son calling. It wasn’t until I called with unknown number she answered. But this time she changed her mind. She refused, was combative and said appointments are open a month from now knowing full well I couldn’t do that all the while my cats condition was worsening over this 3 day insanity with the most beloved Vet office in Pickering. I was exasperated. I never spoke to her disrespectfully once. My sister called on my behalf and spoke to Kara and she spoke to Dr Raj and within minutes it was settled we could pick it up. This took 3 days of numerous calls and an extra 50.00 charge for a medicated ointment I didn’t ask for. Dr Raj needs to know about this. Now our other 15 year old cat is gravely ill. My son took her to another vet which was so disappointing because she has been Dr Raj’s patient for 10 years. He knows how to handle her and she is comfortable with him. But it was too stressful to try to get past Christina Hegyi and her unprofessional and harmful to pets well being attitude. After an extremely high vet bill they sent us home with multiple medications including blood pressure medication a sedative and 2 types of eye drops as she is going blind but no care advice what to watch for aside from dosage. She’s not doing well and yet where we are stuck looking for another vet in the hopes she will recover but someone who can guide us through the process. All because Christina Hegyi doesn’t know customer service or the urgency and importance of animal care. Read Less

Dr. Raj, and his team at Forestbrook, are exceptional! I have never met a vet who spends as much time, asks, and answers, all questions, and truly has a desire to care for the well-being of your pet. You are never rushed, and leave truly feeling you have had the best care for your animal. Dr. Raj is amazing and truly cares for pets. Our puppy was neutered this week and when we picked him up, Laura was very caring and addressed concerns we had and made us feel at ease as first time pet owners. Laura also called us the next morning to see how our Toby was. Highly recommend Dr Raj and his staff. Read Less
