I take my dog here regularly for checkups. The staff is always friendly, and the vets have always been very kind and compassionate to animals in general. I have a very nervous dog who tends to shy away from people, but the staff and vets here have always gone above and beyond to make sure she's comfortable and it makes her visit much better than if they were not as personable or caring. Finally, I just want to mention the pricing here: this clinic understands that most vet clinic's costs come out of the owner's wallet, and that many people can't really afford sky-high prices for routine visits and testing. Their costs are very reasonable and what's more, each time I go they clip my dog's nails and do a great job- I have no idea how they manage it since, as I said, my dog is nervous and doesn't like anyone touching her paws. The staff here really know how to work with and treat animals, and are great at customer service. Oh, one final point: they have an automated scheduling system that makes scheduling very easy and convenient, and they will even send reminders through email that you can use to put a reminder in your phone. Ganaraska Animal Clinic was recommended to us and we are so thankful for that recommendation. We have had nothing but outstanding treatment and care for our cats. Dr. Walters recently treated our elderly cat and she was very patient and loving toward Pumpkin. I highly recommend this veterinarian clinic and their competent and friendly staff. Had my dog in for an appointment , we arrived on time and waited 30 min to be seen . No Apology offered. Dog was there for a itching issue , we were concerned it was food . Vet greated us, looked at the balding patches on the dog and informed me it was likely food...... thanks for that LOL. I asked about fleas , " very difficult to detect fleas on a German Shepherd coat" was the answer, no checking. I then personally lifted the dog to expose her legs and asked leading questions such as what do i look for HOPING she would take a look . Honestly , the owner at the local pet food store was 10x more helpful in regards to food allergies and how to deal with them. No follow up appointment requested or encouraged for a follow up and thats what speaks the most about this place .Read Less

I got my first puppy two days ago. She unexpectedly came to us as she needed a new home and her original owners could not keep her. Everything was very sudden. I called Ganaraska Veterinary Clinic hoping to find a vet to give her a check up and second shots within a week. They found me an appointment the same day! The girls that work here were so helpful. We have been very happy with the care and concern our sweet Moses has been experiencing during his visits to this clinic. I actually came in on the incorrect day (my mistake) and instead of having to return at a later date and time, they indicated they could accommodate us. How nice was that! I have an aging dog who has all the problems you would expect an older dog to have, along with cognitive impairment. She is a rescue dog who was abused when young and therefore she doesn't trust easily, but everyone there still love her. The staff are all wonderful & caring. My two dogs, Missy & Sandy, are always willing to go in & they receive lots of attention from the staff. Sandy has had two surgeries. She had to stay 3-4 days with the surgery on her knees & received excellent care. I received daily updates on her condition & the staff took the time to make her stay comfortable & like home as possible. She needed physio which they did so I was able to cope with the recovery at home. Thanks Tiffany for doing such an amazing job so she can run now with no pain. Everyone at the clinic is wonderful and caring. I have three large shepherds and the staff and vets are terrific with them. My one boy is terrified to be there, he's part husky and a bit of a diva, and they have always shown extreme patience with him. You can tell they genuinely like their patients . Wanda and Teresa at reception are absolute treasures. Simon never fails to make me laugh. Don't ever let them leave. My one dog has epilepsy and the baby has hip dysplasia and they have even called me at home to see how things are going. They've never let me down to get my guys in to see a vet.
