Doctors are very good and staff are very friendly. My only issue is they only have one person at reception making it understaffed resulting in timely waits at the reception desk and when you call in you are put on hold. Read Less

Brought my puppy for examination of his feet a while back and was greeted with lovely staffs at the counter. The actual vet, however, didn't even want to hold the dog so the other nurse helped out and she just had a quick glance. Paid overpriced fee for a 5 minute session. The vet did not seem knowledgable. Animal Hospital is like taking my dog Freddy back to see family - all the staff are so professional, compassionate and understanding. Freddy had surgery today and I felt quite at ease leaving him in the capable hands of Dr Madden and her team, she explained what would be happening and followed up with prompt updates. Having two fairly big dogs means you need a good reliable vet on hand.  I've been into the Animal Hospital of Oak Ridges for the quick - Uh Oh! My dog's hurt as well as for shots.  Their staff is ultra receptive and have an incredible amount of patience.  They are great with regards to answering phones.  They're also open super early - from 8AM which facilitates when you need to get back to work etc (or if there's an emergency).  I almost wish they treated humans.The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.As for what I see from the corner of my eye.  The location is clean and the front desk always populated.  They have double doors going in which helps with pets who are trying to make a run for it.  There is ample parking and grassy space for pets who need to empty bowels before or after a visit.  The service is accompanied by an array of treats.  They are very gentle for handling rambunctious overgrown puppies.  They also have dog food and pet supplies on hand for sale.  They support community and local initiatives.  There is a constant stream of clients coming in and out although from the street it always looks like it's empty. I moved to Oak Ridges 12 years ago with my senior cat Slade. The team at the AHOR took wonderful care of him for the last 6.5 years of his life. They were kind, caring, thorough and always thoughtful. I now have 3 cats and two standard poodles who have been under their care from the day they became mine. Wendy the receptionist had recommended Royal Canine Feline dry food for my husband and my 4 cats. It is great :) They have food feeders that I fill up once a week, and two bowls downstairs that I fill up every other day. They just enjoy eating the food. I really like to hear the soft crunching sound. They also really like the Royal Canine adult wet food.
